Seasons have passed since Emerson and Adrien emerged from Morsania Circo without Silas. Despite a tentative truce, Emerson has spent the last several months avoiding Adrien. However, when he tracks her down in New York City, she’s forced put her grievances aside and form a reluctant alliance with him as they delve inside the Catalogue together.

Emerson and Adrien navigate the Catalogue’s labyrinth as it draws them further into its depths where the truth about its mysterious history awaits. The farther they go, the more evident it becomes that they are traveling beyond the point where Foundation and The Central Library turned on each other. They’re approaching the origin of the Library itself. As their journey grows more treacherous and the two Librarians are forced to rely on each other, Emerson begins to wonder whether she may lose herself—both in the Catalogue and in the shifting lines of their relationship.

Meanwhile, back in New York, a mysterious book resurfaces inside Ezekiel Glasberg’s Regional Library, leading the Librarians to suspect that Silas’s journey inside the Catalogue did not end with Morsania Circo. While the search for Silas reignites, tensions between the Libraries worsen and the Councils find themselves preparing for an inevitable confrontation.

As Foundation and The Central Library barrel headlong down the path toward war, one thing becomes clear.

There can only be one Head Librarian.

I was lucky enough to receive this book as an arc and couldn't wait to read it! I have loved all 3 previous books in the serie and I can say every book in this series gets better than the last! I absolutely loved Fracture, the writing was amazing, every world you discover is different and well written, and the pace is so gripping. I loved seeing how the characters and their relationships evolved. I also really enjoyed the different storylines and being able to follow the story from different perspectives. I'm already so excited for the next one to come out!

I received this book as a free ARC and am writing this review voluntarily.

I have enjoyed Amelia's immersive world on which people have the luxury of jumping into books and experiencing the story in real time! I love this concept and it has been a turbulent, exciting, and unique journey into the 4th book of the Librarians series.

We take off again after Silas' devastating loss into the Ringmaster's hands. I was so gutted about this and was relieved to see that he miraculously survived and was granted an opportunity to provide us his current affairs alongside Person's journey into the Catalogue with Adrien. Amelia does a beautiful job of describing some incredible imagery, from Silas' physical changes, to Maya's experience with the eye (i LOVED THIS) to the Surgeon in City of Nightmares.

I love that Amelia really contrasted characters in this book, particularly Adrien and Silas (Silas girl here!). They really accentuated the light and dark themes of the book, being polar opposites in their morals and goals, but maintained their common ground of Emerson.

Emerson also continues to grow dynamically into a lead that makes all of us brainy girls proud! its refreshing to not have a female lead be the "end all". while she becomes chosen for the head librarian role in a surprising way, it doesnt change her.

I love this series so much and would encourage anyone to read it!

Fracture continues Amelia Spencer's Librarians series with the familiar formula that fans have come to expect: Emerson and Adrien plunging deeper into the Catalogue's mysterious depths, encountering intricately constructed worlds populated by intriguing, enigmatic, monstrous characters – and numerous powerful, respected women. After the events of Morsania Circo, where Silas was left behind, Emerson has spent months avoiding Adrien. When he tracks her down in New York City, they're forced into an uneasy alliance as they navigate the Catalogue together, traveling beyond the schism between Foundation and The Central Library toward the very origin of the Catalogue itself.

Spencer has clearly listened to reader feedback about previous instalments leaving too many threads dangling. Secondary characters from Foundation—Maya, Elias, and Frida—all get meaningful moments in this book, grounding the story and reminding us that this world extends beyond the central love triangle. These characters help anchor the more fantastical Catalogue sequences with the political tensions brewing back in New York.

The book's structure weaves three narrative threads: Emerson and Adrien's journey through the Catalogue, the search for Silas, and the escalating conflict between the Libraries. While the New York storyline effectively grounds the other two, Silas's sections in Morsania Circo feel somewhat one-dimensional and occasionally drag despite being crucial to the plot.

Spencer excels at creating the immersive worlds within the Catalogue. In one particularly lovely moment in Valhaerion, both Emerson and Queen Saraiya experience that particular pleasure readers will recognize: "Both women took a deep breath at the same time and exhaled in unison when the relaxation from being surrounding by books hit them full force." It's these small touches that remind us why bibliophiles will connect with this series.

The love triangle remains central to the story's tension. The two men representative of both sides of the library: Silas fierce, brooding, and loyal; Adrien, brilliant, strategic, and selfless. Her eventual choice will either determine or be determined by the fate of the Catalogue—a compelling ambiguity that raises the stakes beyond simple romance. However, when certain reunions occur, they feel a bit too convenient, too neatly resolved. I wanted more conflict, more messiness in moments that should have been emotionally complex.

As pieces fall into place toward the book's conclusion some plot points feel genuinely clever while others seem somewhat contrived—the sense that not everything was meticulously planned from the beginning, but rather constructed as needed. The inclusion of a ‘wizard's’ chess sequence felt unnecessary, though not egregious enough to derail the reading experience.

Fracture accomplishes what a penultimate book should: it positions all the characters for the final confrontation and moves the series arc forward in a logical way. While it doesn't quite reach five-star territory due to some narrative convenience and uneven pacing, it's a solid instalment that will keep fans invested. Spencer has built a world worth seeing through to the end, and I'm committed to finding out how it all concludes.

Recommended for: Fans of the series, readers who enjoy portal fantasy with bibliophilic elements, and anyone who appreciates stories about women wielding power in fantastical settings.

Warning for people who follow me for clean reads, this series is an exception for me. I started this series before I transitioned to clean books. This book is littered with the f-bomb (I think it's the only swearword used) and there are 2 short scenes that I had to skim past. This book is not a standalone and you must read the first 3 books first.

The world that Amelia Spencer has created is sensational. I will not give spoilers for those following along. BUT I will say the twists and turns this book took me on had me experiencing every single emotion. The next book cannot come fast enough.

This book was one of my most anticipated books of the year, because the previous books have been getting better and better.

I loved getting to know more new worlds and the points of view that we get in this book, I really like the chemistry between the characters, from different parts of the -verse.

I don't know who's good or bad anymore and the twists keep on twisting.

There are some strings tied up and this book sets up beautifully for the next one.

When you’re left wanting more, this book; this series is it! Not wanting this book to end was real. I read the first book and was sucked in. Having adventures through books in libraries, what’s not grabbing your attention? I read all 4 of these and could not put them down. I need the next one PLEASE! Being asked to be an ARC reader for this was a great opportunity! If you want adventure, banter, twists and turns; then do yourself a favor and go read this series!!!

This Review is for Fracture the 4th book in Amelias Spencers Librarians series. In this book we find Emerson reeling from her grief from the events that occurred in “Darkside of the Catalogue”. Her and Adrien go on a mission where again they have to accomplish tasks and travel to different worlds within the catalogue to uncover more secrets. The dynamic between them in this book took me back to when I shipped them in the first book. We also get a lot more info on some of the other characters which was refreshing. I loved this book, I could not put it down. I read it in 3 days from start to finish and enjoyed the journey Amelia took us on.

Ok let’s get into why I love this Book(series). First off I love how Amelia has taken a love triangle but not centered the entire plot around it. Yes there are obvious romance scenes but overall this simply adds to Emersons/ Adriens/ Silas character development vs a just why choose situation. The magic system is very unique and fun to explore. Amelia gives vivid imagery in her writing that helps the reader experience what the charters are. When these characters dive into the different books/realms within the pages within the Catalogue. I feel like I’m right there with them. I mean who else want's to visit “The Victorian Librarians land of trickster fae”, I know I do! We also get a lot more insight into Silas without giving spoilers lets just say there’s so much more to this character, and I’m glad. I can’t wait to see how he ties into the history of the catalogue.

One thing that was missing in the previous book was there were several side characters that had high potential. In Fracture Amelia does not disappoint we have a new relationship between Maya/ Elias which was nicely added without losing the main characters trials and outcomes. Like I previously stated this book only took me 3 days to devour! I still hold onto a thread of hope for Emerson and Adrien lol, What in the world was that ending!!!?? (Lovely Cliffhanger) The last 10 percent of this book had me gnawing my teeth. Not only with all the the characters truths being revealed simultaneously . But also the upcoming battle a foot. Emerson is a Badass and I can wait to see her in action. The next book should clearly end in a happily ever after right??? Who will Emerson choose? What will happen with Maya and Elias? And of course we can’t forget the Surgeon! When anyone asks me for a fun book with a unique plot and magic system that’s relatable to voracious readers (Because we live in our books). I always recommend Amelia Spencer’s Librarian Series. Lastly I totally love the nostalgic feel of the 1994 classic “The Page Master” this book gives. One of my fav movies growing up its no surprise this series has become one of my favorites as well.

I was lucky enough to receive this beauty as an arc. I have waited all year for the next instalment of The Librarians as book 3 left me heart broken and wanting answers.
I absolutely love these worlds within the catalogue some cute and whimsical, some weird & quirky, but as the series has gone, and the two catalogues merge the darkness within the books really starts to emerge. Amelia has really brought to these worlds to life in her descriptions and characters.
I love how all the characters have really developed with each book especially Emerson. She has been through some tough challenges and her trust, not only in herself but with those that surround her has really been tested throughout this series. She is a strong, resilient MMC.
My heart was torn between Silas and Adrien and always wondering who really had Emerson’s heart for the right reasons and truly wanted the best for her. Has this book cleared this up……you’ll have to read it to find out 😂
Lots of things are answered within this book but have also left you guessing for what the future may hold which I absolutely love.
New worlds within the catalogue were explored, again some tying into previously visited places and some giving more answers to the characters history or questions that were holding them back.
I don’t want to give any spoilers because this book deserves you to go in and search for those answers yourself and immerse yourself within the pages!
Bravo Amelia you have done it again this is an outstanding read and I devoured it. My only complaint is that I had to wait into September 2026 to find out what is going to happen. Thank you for bringing me into your world of The Librarians hands down one of my favourite series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another good entry in the series. I enjoyed Emerson and Adrien's adventures through the catalogue, though a few of them felt more derivative than referential. There was good character development for both of them. I liked that we got some explanation as to why it's Emerson, though I wish there was a bit more involved in "writing" a book - it felt like she wasn't an active participant in it at all.

The addition of Maya and Elias's POVs was interesting, but not wholly successful for me - mostly because I didn't have a clear picture of who each of them were as people (especially Maya) and we were only given glimpses here. I wish I'd gotten to know a little bit more about their backstories and motivations before or during this book. I liked their romance and Maya's intervention in the plot, though.

There were a couple points in the book when I felt like the characters behaved oddly purely to stall the plot, and I'm not sure why - the book was plenty long. It just threw off the pacing and made me confused about why all the characters were standing around staring like buffoons instead of reacting or acting. E.g. when Emerson walks into the Council Room at the end… she's standing there staring and talking for ages and no one does anything to stop her or explain, then they go "she just burst in!" Except there were several pages where they COULD have stopped her. These are not timid people, their stammering nonsense made no sense here. Also when Emerson ran away from Adrien - it felt contrived so that she could say she hadn't moved on, but that feels way too neat for this love triangle. Give us the messiness! There're very good reasons for a mess here.

By book four in this series, Amelia Spencer isn’t just raising the bar — she’s shattering it, sweeping up the pieces, and using them to carve her name into my soul. Fracture is everything a why-choose fantasy romance should be: addictive, explosive, and so emotionally charged I had to remind myself to breathe between chapters.

Our FMC? She’s grown into an absolute force — powerful, vulnerable, stubborn, and stepping into herself with the kind of confidence that makes you want to stand up and slow clap. And her men? Each one brings something different to the table: danger, devotion, tension, chaos, softness… and together they create a dynamic that is pure, delicious alchemy. No crumbs here — we feast.

Spencer’s writing has levelled up again. The stakes are higher, the world richer, the twists sharper, and the relationships? Chef’s kiss. Every book has gotten better, deeper, and more intense, and Fracture proves this series isn’t just good — it’s an obsession waiting to happen.

Final thoughts? If you aren’t reading this series yet… honestly, what are you doing? This is peak why-choose fantasy romance. Phenomenal characters, escalating tension, emotional damage in the best way — and Fracture cements it as a must-read. Five stars. Zero chill. Completely hooked.

As such I received an advance review copy for free and this review is my own opinion and choice

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is the fourth book in the series. This is also not really a book series that you can pick up any of the books in the series and know what is going on, you should definitely read the previous three books first. I have been waiting and checking up on when I would be able to get my hands on this book. I have been obsessed with this story. The first book really caught me off guard with how the story twist and what I thought would happen didn't happen. I can't give away any spoilers for this book so I will do my best not to do so in this review. Emerson has been through so much already on this journey discovering the catalogue. Emerson has also lost more than she thought she could handle and yet still managed to keep going even if it was out of spite. This book starts off where the third book left off. We find out what Emerson and Adrian did after Silas was trapped into a destroyed book. Emerson still needed to figure out what caused the divide between the two catalogues. I finished reading this book in less and two days and regret it because now I have to wait another year to read the last book in the series.

This is the fourth book in the series and you must read the first three.

This book picks up after the devastating twist at the end of book 3 (which NOBODY saw coming), leaving Emerson (and me) grieving. But the mission has top priority, so she has to do what she always does: pick herself back up and keep going.
Having to work with Adrien is bringing up a lot of conflicting emotions and not so pleasant memories and I did not envy Emerson a second of it.
The worlds the main characters visit in this book continue to be so vividly painted that it feels as if you are also there. The emotions are intense and heart-wrenching! Equal parts hope and despair, and joy and devastation! My poor nerves!
This book also had me crying at points and only another unexpected twist managed to patch up my bleeding heart.
Some of the side characters we met in the other books get to play a bigger role in this book and I really like that. It gives the story that much more depth.
While some major questions are finally answered in this book, it still ends on the juiciest cliffhanger ever and I am crossing all of my fingers that the (most likely) epic finale will make my wish for the final outcome come true!

My, oh my what the heck did I just read?!? And yes in best way! I knew this book was going to be a wild ride but I don’t think that I knew really what o was getting into! I’m so in love with this one and it may be the best one yet!

In a world where books are doorways to other realms, and there’s a race of discovery, of secrets, lies, and deception, you follow Emerson on her continued journey to find the truth about the librarians , the council, and her journey of healing. Will Emerson find out the knowledge she needs to save her world? And who will come along to help?

I have never jumped so fast to read this book, I received it as an arc( and I’m glad because I literally couldn’t wait ) this book took me on such a journey. I don’t even feel like my thoughts are the same from the beginning to the end of this book! I love how the author gradually grew the friendships/ relationships in this book it’s the most slowest but also wonderful slow burn. I also loved how everything
Flowed and I literally was in a race to get the answers I wanted! Her writing is chefs kiss and I already am biting at the bit for the next book 👀👀 I can’t wait to see where she takes this epic story!

What an amazingly, incredible world this author has created with this series; The Librarians. From the first book; Secrets of the Catalogue, to this fourth book; Fracture, I have never read a series so entertaining as these books. Every fight, heartache, and dangerous person that Emerson has encountered have found a place in my heart. I go back and forth about Emerson’s choices of companions. Both men have negative and redeeming qualities. Throughout all these books: there are so many reasons for her to choose either man to be with. I feel like each man has something that would help her become the person she needs to be. I mean, I think there have been enough situations that Emerson proved she could handle the being the head librarian. I find this series fascinating in the fact that one could enter a book and experience the book as if the book were alive. As the duo (whether Emerson and Silas; or Emerson and Adrien) they could handle any dire situations and sometimes make the world @ better place. The coming days are going to test Emerson’s loyalty and skills. I am hoping she gets to keep both Adrien and Silas….how much would they help Emerson?

Fourth book in an expansive urban and book world travelling fantasy series. First off, read the other books to follow the story line in this one. I’m sure you will be glad you did.

As I read I decided a few things. First the author is not in any hurry. That’s fine as I’ve been enjoying the series. Secondly I really want to read some of the fictional books that the author has imagined for the characters to jump into.

The author says she is looking for the book that will let her enter and live as the characters in the story. She hasn’t found it yet. But I think she has given the reader that opportunity. Though I think with my skill set I might not survive. Well, you see I have to live with waiting for the final instalment. Horrors above.

Will the librarians in our world be shushing the characters as the mayhem in the library catalogue soon comes to a close. I think they might. Libraries are meant to be quiet places, right? Not in these books!

Thank you to Amelia Spencer and BookSirens for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

Oh my goodness!
After quickly refreshing my memory of the characters and where we last left them in book 3 , book four picks up right away after and the story quickly takes off after that.
I don't want to go into details of the plot as this book is not yet released and I received my copy as an Arc, but I will say the author has created such a realistic and interesting world with these characters and this book does not disappoint. She remains Right on point with the characters and the world that she's created in the first three books.
The one thing I absolutely love about reading these books is as the Librarians travel into books that they read the author has managed to create even more worlds through those books and each one of them is so fascinating they could each have their own little spin-off book.
Anyways, I absolutely love this book and I'm so happy I got to read it already. Can't wait to see how this series ends next year!

This was a wonderful addition to the story of Emerson, Adrian, Silas and the rest of the cast from the Foundation and Central Library catalogues. The story arc in this book continues the saga and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout as you seek to see if Emerson and Adrian act on their feelings, will Silas be found and what the various entanglements are as they move from one book to the next in their searches. Maya is a more developed character in this book and it was a nice addition. As always books like this make me want more with these characters (and make me wish there was a magical dimension we could go and wander in). If you like books about books with a hint of danger, mystery, and romance you will love this book.

This installment pushes the Librarians series deeper into its unique, book-soaked universe. Emerson and Adrien are forced back into each other’s orbit, navigating uneasy alliances, political tensions in New York, and the ever-growing mysteries of the Catalogue. The author expands the cast in meaningful ways, giving secondary characters room to breathe, and ties up threads that had been dangling for a while. The world feels richer for it.

Spencer’s gift for crafting immersive, imaginative worlds shines through, especially in moments where the love of books becomes a shared language between characters. The emotional stakes of the love triangle remain high, even if a few reunions wrap up too neatly.

Fracture does what it needs to do: it sets the stage for the finale with intention and momentum. It’s engaging, inventive, and full of the bookish magic that defines the series. Fans will stay hooked, and I’m definitely seeing this journey through to the end.

Amelia did a phenomenal job with this one… it’s my favorite in the series so far (and I LOVED the 3rd book- The Dark Side of the Catalogue ). I really enjoy this world and this is the 4th book in a 5 book series. A lot of questions were answered in this book. I also love how some of the side characters had a bigger role in this book and you got to hear from their perspectives.
Loved how in this book you got even further into the world of the librarians and in was books within books and an even deeper understanding of the magic system and the complex world of the librarians.

If you’re a book lover and an avid reader you will adore this series! Fabulous writing, plot, romance and so many characters you’ll love.

Omg the cliff hanger at the end of this…. So good and I can’t wait for the 5th and final book!

Book #4 of the Librarian series did not disappoint. The concept of being able to jump into the worlds of books (physically) would be a dream come true.

So we are continuing to follow Emerson and the battle between The Central Library and The Foundation Library. The banning of books and the overbearing rules of The Central Library.

It is hard for me to discuss what happens in the book without giving spoilers and I dont want to do that. So I will say, we still have action, we still have tension and a bit of a love triangle, we have banter and we get some action from some side characters from the other books. There are multiple POVs in this book and the spice continues to be fade to black but it's still steamy.

I love this series and given the cliffhanger and now not so patiently waiting for book 5 to drop. This series is set to be 5 books so barring any changes from the author we should also get the conclusion of the series.

Well dang. It's a bit of a mixed bag but I'll start with the positive.

It's such an easy read! The pages just sort of melt away and before you know it you are halfway done. Readability is a big deal, especially when the reader is no longer fully on board.

The premise started so strong, but I found myself a bit lost in the murky reality of the current story. Perhaps it ties into the current issues with the Catalogue, but I am not sure what the point is anymore.

I'll probably stick around to finish the last of the series when it comes out next year. But more because I hate not completing things than because I want to.

I also need to shout out the Soul Tree return. I complained in prior reviews that it seemed to have been a non factor for being such a big part of book 1. But we finally see some of those decisions coming back into focus. So I'll wait until the finale to make any final statements.

Amelia has done it again. The books/world were just so stunning and unique and at times quirky. I like that Maya has been added to the mix, her and Elias are just so stinking cute. It’s so sweet that Elias came up with a way for Maya to be part of their world. Poor poor Silas, what he had to endure being in Morsania Circo with his grandfather was so devastating and seeing him so blank broke my heart as I love Silas for his attitude. I loved diving more into The Librarians lineage and how some of their specialties and strengths have come to be. Emerson and Adrian’s travels to find the heart of the library was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat whether they would find the next books. The culmination of their adventures was so beautiful, but what I know is to come next will be one hell of a ride going against The Central Library.

Delving into the book chapter after chapter - or book after book- is embarking on our own journey through a catalog of worlds.

The creativity and level of description of each world is breathtaking - it has been since book 1, and here I also highly appreciate the clear story line of this book. In this book, characters are mending, less in search of themselves, which felt easier to follow, and still brings the story forward. We are also blessed with a focus on different characters so that we know what happens in different worlds.

I had needed a break after the first books: too much of internal character turmoil. But this book brings a satisfying conclusion while opening up a new Pandora's box. I am curious for the next installment!

Thank you to the Author, Amelia Spencer, for the advanced reader copy of the fourth book in The Librarians Series.

This is my favorite of the series thus far. I really enjoyed how bits and peices of Classic Literature were woven into this story. Our characters are traveling through books to get back to a specific event in the past. The books they are traveling through are older books and aren't titled as the classics we all know, but if you have read 1984, Alice in Wonderland, and many others you will recognize the bits and peices within.

This fourth installment is plot heavy and fast paced. The atmosphere is creepy and darker than the other books and the stakes are higher.

I can't wait for the last book to be released next year. I definitely recommend this series to anyone that likes books about books or love triangles.

This is a series I love SO MUCH. Emerson is a badass human being and this journey so deep into the Catalogue that they couldn’t even be tracked was so intense! I love that Emerson and Adrien have the alliance that they do after having to go through so much discomfort (with I’m sure more headed their way). I also love that Maya had her own storyline in this one! The flirtationship she has with Elias is adorable and her working for Frida is a fantastic match!

Silas’ painful imprisonment in Morsania Circo was gut wrenching. Finding out his family lineage’s connection to Oscar Wilde was definitely a surprise! I’m interested to see how his time being filled with the darkness of the Catalogue will impact his part in the overthrow process and his relationship with Emerson. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the final book!

This series really does just get better and better.
Everytime I think that I cant fall more in love, here comes the next book to prove me wrong.(Can't wait for next year for book 5 to do the same.)

Morsania Circo was a terrifying aspect of the Catalogue to me, and I still want to 🤜👊🤛 the Ringmaster.

Emerson and Adriens reluctant journey together back through the Catalogue was so much fun. at times it was terrifying, but it was so enthralling and beautiful. Every additional world they went to was different and exciting, even when terrifying.

Can't wait to see where things go next. Maya and Elias? I need more of that.
And will I finally have to choose?

Thank you, Amelia. You consistently knock it out of the park.

I give it 4.5 ⭐️

What really stood out to me in this book was how much stronger Emerson feels in this part of the story. Her journey has been heavy from the start, but here you can really see how much she’s grown, while her relationship with Adrien becomes both more intense and more vulnerable. I liked the balance between action, secrets, and those emotional moments that sneak up without taking over. There are several twists that kept me turning the pages, and the world around The Library keeps getting more intriguing. A really solid installment in the series that made me care even more about Emerson and everything at stake.

Thank you so much Amelia and BookSirens for letting me be a part of the team. ❤️🌺
