The Year of Us is a twelve novelette series from Kate Hawthorne and EM Denning, exploring what happens when two men with nothing in common find out there might be something between them after all. February is Cory and Reese's second meeting, and their stories are meant to be read in order. -- Cory Callahan and Reese Rollins are total opposites. Cory wears a Rolex and makes six figures a year. Reese is a bartender with a busted screen on his cellphone. Cory lives in New York. Reese lives in LA. One delayed flight and a chance meeting at a bar later, the two strangers find they have one indisputable thing in common… The attraction between them is incendiary. But after a shared night at an airport hotel they learn there’s one other trait they share. They’re both dominant and not interested in being told no.
With over two dozen published romances to her name, Kate Hawthorne has built a recognizable brand around telling emotional stories that pack a figurative (and sometimes literal) punch.
Existing on a steady diet of wine and coffee, Kate spends her days dreaming up angsty stories full of heat, kink, and heart. Kate now lives in Louisville, where she writes romance, reads romance, and hides from the humidity.
OK, so its a month later and the 2 meet again in the same bar and the same hotel room. Its more sex, sex and sex. I am hoping that maybe we are going to start to learn a little about them in the months to come as the sex is getting boring now.
These opposites attract, dualling dominants are absolutely seductive. The tension between them is staggering and it’s only their second meeting. Like Cory and Reese, I’ve been thinking about them all month too, and I won’t be stopping any time soon.
I can’t wait to see where things go beyond just their sexual compatibility.
I'm really loving this series of novellas so far. I didn't know what to expect but have loved both January and February. Cory and Reese are great characters and I love the dynamic between them. They meet at a bar and decide to have what is supposed to be a one-time hookup. But they soon find out that they are both doms. They have an undeniable attraction to each other but can two doms hook up without one of them having to submit. This series is so spicy and I love the interactions between Cory and Reese. I'm dying for March.
I know these are novellas and were released quickly, but there are TWO authors. Could neither of them do a basic read through for editing? POV switching between characters mid-chapter on accident is not okay. It was already very hard to distinguish between the voice and personality of the two characters and this just made it so much worse. Spelling and grammar weren’t the greatest either. I love some of Kate’s other books, but this was too annoying to finish. Definitely won’t be reading any more in the series, which is a shame since I waited until all 12 were finished before reading any.
It’s February and Cory is back at Reese’s bar. These two have both had a hard time getting the other one out of their mind. Reese is definitely conflicted. They still have some strong chemistry for sure! Can’t wait to see what decisions are made in March! A quick enjoyable ongoing story! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
I am in love with Cory and Reese and as much as I’d love to have their story all at once, I am treasuring the slow pace of it being monthly. I reread January before reading February and it was still just as good as it was the first time. I can’t wait for more!!
I’m loving how the story of Reece and Cory is playing out and I thought I was hooked with book one, boy was I wrong! February’s instalment was fire and I can’t wait to see where this duo goes! I absolutely love the push and pull for dominance plus their chemistry is off the charts. Is it March yet?
Another month, another sex fest. Is it really gonna take a whole year for these two men to realize they belong together!!! They may both be dominant but they're certainly making it work. An intense and very sexy read.
