What a sweet and tender Valentine’s Day story that had the perfect blend of romance and growly dirty talking mountain man vibe. Quickie Review: This was an adorable quickie of a read and a first by this new to me author. I loved the insta love romance that took both Jasper and Thea by surprise while at a mutual friend’s wedding. While neither was looking for love, it sure found them. With a surprise pregnancy to boot. The story was so very well written and I beautifully done. I can’t wait to see what other Mountain Man romances Brody has done, because I will most definitely be checking them out. 5 Stars.

Wow!!!! Just wow!!!!!
Mia somehow made Jasper perfectly growly, possessive, gruff, big and dirty talking WHILE ALSO making him the sweetest, imperfect, protective, creative, caring and thankful Mountain man I’ve ever read😍😍😍 (super swoony)

Jasper and Thea are so amazing together. They’re both a little damaged. Thea had a verbally abusive mother and absent father and always felt unloveable and unwanted, while Jasper was an orphan who had childhood bone cancer requiring a partial leg amputation, who did eventually get fostered by an amazing woman Emma May. She’s a big wig music promoter/manager in Nashville and he’s an artist Mountain man. They meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and the sparks are instant…. Jasper knows he’s all in instantly…. But Thea is having trouble trusting in love and Jasper…. She sneaks out after their weekend together…they are both miserable apart for weeks… But then she sees those 2 pink lines….

Can she trust in love?
Can he convince her to try?

This book is really beautiful in my opinion. Jasper is such a perfect main character, one of my fav’s!!!!

The writing and editing are perfect…

Thea is still in Sweetheart, NC, because her biggest client, Zac Maple is getting married to Dotty. This is so not Thea’s thing. But, it causes her to meet one of the best men, who is also hiding, Jasper. He is sketching. She had wanted to hide and crochet. I laughed at that because I love to crochet. They talk and they end up in his cabin in the mountains of Courage County. Afterwards, her assistant, Skye reminds her that she needs to meet with a lawyer about her mother’s estate. So she leaves, he is upset when he returns. Big misunderstanding. Weeks later, Thea finds out she is preggers because Dotty puts it out there. Jasper visits his mom, Emma May, who while she had five kids of her own, she opened up her home to more, fostering them, and Jasper is one of them. I love Emma May. Things go weird when Thea shows up, but then things are talked out. I love how Emma May and her boys handle everything. That baby will have a massive amount of uncles to dote on them. Woooo. The people Thea work for are pieces of work, you’ll see why I’m mad at them and why I love Skye. I hope she gets a book of her own. I love the epilogue it is soooo cute.

We finally got Thea’s (country music singer, Zac Maple’s agent) story and it was about as tough as a rubber nail (in other words, not very much at all!), just like Thea who I always suspected had a hidden marshmallowy center beneath her take-no-crap, ball busting, exterior. Turns out, all it took for the big reveal was an unexpected, lonely, mountain man as attracted to her as she was to him. But when she runs, will he ever be able to reach her again?

This was such a good book!! Jasper, the MMC and local artist, was a deliciously dirty talker, something that, if you follow her, you know Ms. Brody excels in writing. It also happens to be one of my favorite parts of a book when done right and MAN, can Jasper do it right!!!

This wasn’t ALL fluff (though it WAS 100% sweet). It also carried a good dose of realism, something I personally, could be perfectly happy without but, I know a lot of readers don’t care for books that are too “pat”, with no conflict at all. This kind of struck somewhere in the middle; it wasn’t so much that I couldn’t deal with it yet it still gives others a taste of real life. Where ever you fall in there, I think it’s safe to say you’ll still be able to enjoy it. 5 stars!.

Soulmates and foxes

The Mountain Man’s Valentine Baby is the first book in the Courage County Holidays series. I fell in love with this story about Thea Madison and Jasper. She is the talent manager of country music superstar Zac Maple. She is at Zac and Dotty's wedding in Sweetheart, North Carolina and steps out onto a balcony to get some fresh air and some privacy. What she was not expecting was to have the Best Man, Jasper, also hiding away in the farthest corner. When Thea first saw Jasper there was something about his eyes that drew her in and she knew she wanted to get to know him, but she also is very aware of staying away from me as he needs to keep a clean and professional reputation in the industry. Jasper is a man who is big, burly, has scars and knew as soon as he saw Thea with her red dress hugging all her curves that he wanted to take the zipper down with his teeth and taste every inch of her. What starts as one night has the two of them connecting deeper. But when Thea leaves the next morning, leaving Jasper a note, she thinks that will be the end of it. What she does not know is two things....she took a little something with her and he is not going to let her get away so easily.

This was another hit for Courage County! The way MIa writes is so warm and the books are so cozy. These characters have heart and form such a caring and genuinely kind community. I hoped Thea would join Courage and loved that she too found her own love. And he is such a wonderful male for her, what a meeting!

Upon meeting one another, they felt sparks. She was afraid he might not want to keep her because no one ever did before.

My heart broke for the two, each had their own pasts and sickness and loneliness are both terrible things to deal with. That's why this is the perfect place, kind neighbors and honestly good people forming a real community. You can really rely on people here and they are real and great people. The chemistry between our leads is great! So steamy at their meeting and it never stops. Too bad she didn't talk to him at first, then her doubts and fears could have been quieted sooner rather than later. A sweet and spicy read and what a beautiful moment with their mom and brother! And a lovely and well deserved HEA.

She is in town for her friends wedding. Needing a moment alone, she finds a quiet corner and him. He is the groom’s best man and just about the hottest man she’s ever seen. Spend a passionate night together, but she leaves in the morning. When he finds her gone, he is upset because he knows that she is his soulmate when she comes back several weeks later to let him know that he is about to be a dad. He is determined to do everything he can to keep his little family together. This is a really sweet story of two broken people finding their true love. The author doesn’t really your job with character development, giving you unique layered characters. Disability representation. He falls first and fast, but she is not far behind. She’s just more vulnerable and needs to learn to trust. They are spicy from night one and things only get steamier as they go. This is a hot little series that gives you a big punch for the time commitment, including epilogue, and bonus scenes.. It’s like getting all of the good stuff without too much fluff.

The Mountain Man’s Valentine Baby is Book 1 of the Courage County Holidays series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, curvy virgin gets her mountain man romance. Thea is a sweet and curvy music manager. Jasper is a hunky artist and mountain man. The two meet at Zac and Dotty's wedding and sparks fly. One hot night together, and Jasper knows they are soul mates, but Thea is gone in the morning, and he is devastated. Fast forward 6 weeks, and she realizes she is pregnant with Jasper's baby. When she goes to tell him, he is not letting her get away again. These two both had rough childhoods, and Thea has a hard time trusting others. Can Jasper prove he is all in? I loved this couple so much. In true Mia fashion, we have more perfectly imperfect characters that grab onto your heart and don't let go. The chemistry between these two was pure fire, and the ending was so happy. I'm in love with Jasper and have added yet another book boyfriend to my list. The way he loved and cared for Thea through her fears was everything. I hope we get a book for Whiskey!!!!!.

Can he win her over?
This was a really enjoyable, spicy story of two people meeting at a wedding and having such a connection that the man falls instantly for the woman.
Jasper is a big, burly mountain man that knows as soon as he meets Thea that she belongs to him.
Now he only has to convince her.
Thea absolutely loved the night she spent with Jasper and can’t stop thinking about the amazing time she had with the dirty talking, sexy mountain man that fills her every thoughts.
Fate intervenes and they find themselves stranded together at Jackson’s house when Thea turns up to advise him that she is pregnant.
Jackson is over the moon and after her leaving him the first time he sets about winning her over.
There was a lot packed into this steamy short story that I loved
-the main and side characters were wonderful
-Jackson and Thea both had troubled childhoods that they had overcome
-Family and friendships mean everything to them
I’m really looking forward to reading more stories set in Courage County.

I love Jasper and Thea's love story. They meet at a wedding. She is a manager for country music (and her top client is Jasper's friend) and he is the best man at the wedding, an artist living in the mountains. They connect and spend an amazing night with each other. Jasper just knows she is the one for him, but then she is gone. He was a foster boy, but had the most amazing mum who gives the best advice. Thea grew up with a mother who lay all the blame on her and is determined to stay alone and not depend on someone. When she realizes she is pregnant, she just comes to inform Jasper, at least that is what hs eis telling herself, because she can not get him out of her head and the pie. Jasper knows who and what he wants and really made me swoon! Such amazing characters, just want to hug them. Hope his foster brother gets his own story soon.

What a great little story that starts at a wedding. The characters are quite opposite from each other but drawn to each other during the wedding ceremony, after the wedding they are both trying to get away from the crowds and end up in the same remote place on a porch. They talk about little things and how they want to be happy for their friend they got married but they’re not into all this lovey-dovey stuff. Their attraction is obvious and they both leave together. Then they find their soulmates and nothing can keep them apart even when she leaves. Only to find out if my safe sex failed due to their connection so she ended up pregnant. I was confused at part of the story because I don’t remember them ever stating that she was a virgin before they met. But let me tell you her first time she definitely had the world rocked. The epilogues are awesome too talk about a twist in a story!.

The Mountain Man’s Valentine Baby is another book where Mia has folks that have nothing finding each other. Thea is a manager for a top country singer getting married. At the wedding she meets his best man Jasper. Thea was raised by a single mom who blamed Thea for ruining her life. Jasper was raised by a foster mom who treated him just like her biological sons. When Thea and Jasper get together it was like they found their better half. Unfortunately, Thea left before giving him a chance because everyone leaves her. Now that she is pregnant she returns to tell Jasper and she ends up staying when a storm hits and they really get to know each other and admit their love. I love how the author uses real people with real life issues in her book. Thea is not a skinny gal and Jasper has had to live as an amputee.

If your looking for a quick easy to read story then look no further, it has enough spice as well as romance and family. Thea has always been alone even whilst running her artists careers. When Zak has his wedding she never thought it would change her whole life. Jasper enjoys his private life living on the mountain and now he gets to celebrate his best friends wedding. Although he's never seen himself as the type to settle down when he sees the gorgeous curvy woman in the red dress he actually knew she was it for him. Now can he convince her the same. Will a one night stand for Thea change the course of her whole life. Sit back and enjoy the lengths Jasper goes to. Can years of having no one and feeling not worthy of anyone's love finally end for Thea. Will she finally open her heart and can she give Jasper the Valentine's birthday present he never saw coming

The main characters Thea & Jasper meet through a mutual friend’s wedding. They have instant attraction where he falls first. She decides to sneak out while he’s busy and continue on with life. I wish that there was more feelings of regret leaving him.

Obviously, they are reunited yet it felt one sided and harder to find her relatable at the beginning. It ‘warmed’ up for them when a snowstorm forces them into close proximity and Thea catches up to Jasper’s feelings of love.

I love when an author can fit the real life experiences like shapewear into s*xy-times and then not over emphasize his physical disability but showed it didn’t hinder his performance one bit!!

I appreciate when authors add epilogues, especially in quick reads, so that we get a glimpse into the characters future happiness.

Jasper and Thea just over here giving soulmate vibes. When they meet at a friends wedding, they both instantly were attracted to each other, something beyond just a casual hook up. After an incredible night together, Thea lets her past get to her and she runs. I loved that Jasper was so string in his convictions that Thea was meant to be his. He took his momma's words to heart, that miracles happen every day. He just had to convince her she was worth it.

I love that all the Courage County heroes and heroines are flawed and real. Whether it be internal or external battle scars, they all are relatable characters. I love a surprise pregnancy and Jasper was just the biggest cinnamon roll hero who loved on and spoiled Thea the way every woman wants to be.

Jasper and Thea, best man and bridesmaid at their friends Dotty and Zac’s wedding, meet up for a night of steamy sex. Thea, with her job and life in Nashville leaves Jasper before he can declare that she is ‘his. Six weeks later and a positive pregnancy test, she comes back to let him know he will be a dad. She tells him she doesn’t expect anything from him, but Jasper is determined to show her she should. It was a little strange Thea had such a vulnerable past as it did not appear that way in the previous book, but appearances are deceptive and the way they both let down their barriers was everything. When Thea crocheted a fox for Jasper – tears. Plenty of breeding talk especially in the bonus epilogue.

This insta-love, small-town romance has wonderful characters, including the main characters of Thea and Jasper. They had instant chemistry from the start and continued their story with romance, friendship, and steam. The author did a great job of providing how the characters evolved as their story progressed. I love the couple and the past life details of their connection as well as this entertaining story from beginning to end. The Mountain Man’s Valentine Baby is part of the series Courage County Holidays and can be read as a standalone.

The Mountain Man’s Valentine Baby is set in Courage County and the story of Thea and Jasper. They meet at a wedding and after one night together Thea discovers she’s pregnant. I really enjoyed their story and the fact that they’re attracted to each other from the first look. They both had a difficult childhood and both have a strong the need to belong to someone and the wish to have a family of their own. I loved the caring side of Jasper.
There are two epilogues and I absolutely loved the second one, that takes place after ten years.

There is something about his dark eyes and the way he carries himself even with a slight limp. She was trying find a quiet place; weddings are not her style. She is squeezed into a shape-wear under-form fitting red dress work. Jasper is curious about what a shape-wear is and Jasper offers to show her what causes his limp if she will show him her sharp-wear is. Will she agree? Off to his cabin to share the first secrets. Follow their journey of discovery, unexpected surprises and a possible future. Only time will tell.

I absolutely loved this new mountain man romance from Mia Brody and I think you will too! We know where all the amazing men are, and that's Courage County, North Carolina. Jasper and Thea both know what it's like to feel unloved and unwanted. They get a taste of perfection and then have to navigate how to work through those old feelings so they don't continue cycles with their unexpected but not unwanted bundle of joy. The steam was perfect (hello Jasper!!) and I loved the representation in the story of disabilities, foster care, and happily ever afters. I'm still swooning!.

This is book number 1 of the Courage County Holidays series and focuses on Jasper and Thea. Thea is Zac’s (from Big Rowdy Cowboy) manager and in Courage County for Zac’s wedding. Jasper sees Thea and immediately knows who she is to him. They have an amazing night together before Thea leaves to head back to Nashville. Jasper knows that Thea is his forever and starts making plans to be closer to her once she leaves. When she shows up on his porch with some news of her own, Jasper is thrilled and is determined to finally get his woman once and for all. This was a great story and a great start to the series.

I had fun reading about Thea and Jasper. I've been dying to read about them since Mia Brody's last book. 4.5 stars!
Jasper is such a big sweetheart. The man can do no wrong. He wants everything to be perfect so that Thea can see they are soulmates.
This story has a great amount of spice. I also liked that we got a little glimpse of what other characters we might get in a new story.
I liked it and had fun reading it. The only thing that made me not love it was the ending. It went on and on in my opinion. However, everything else is great!.

Thea met a mountain man at a wedding and was swept off her feet by Jasper. She’s been abandoned by people in her life and always expects someone to leave. So she leaves first and goes back to her normal life. But when there’s a positive pregnancy test, she goes back to tell him. Jasper takes advantage of the weather to keep her with him for the weekend. Valentines Day weekend. They get to know eachother as he tries to prove his care for her and that his proposal is NOT just because of the baby.

I love that the story was more than their meeting weekend, they got to see who each other really were.

Jasper is a lonely mountain man. After a one night stand he thinks he's found the woman of his life, unfortunately she ran away after their night without leaving a number. He's heartbroken, until he finds her at his door with a baby, her baby.
Will Jasper still want Thea and their baby and will Thea be able to put her insecurities aside...
