I'm writing this review as I read it because I want you all in review land to understand me when I say, "it. is. HOT."
Ok first, I love Rose Richards. She writes scenes hot enough to melt your Kindle. I literally have to force myself not to jump on every book of hers as soon as I download it. I try to wait, build a little anticipation, and savor them. It never works. Hers are one of very few authors' books that I keep on my Kindle an reread multiple times.
All that said, onto the actual book thoughts as I read...

Ok, a revenge on the ex book. Nice. Hmm, he's holding himself back. Love the daddy vibes. And yum, the graying at the temples, *chef's kiss* that is such a turn on for me. Then again, Maxwell Sheffield could have -got it- from 90s me. 😉
Yesss, I love it when the characters first kiss and the world shrinks away from them. We've all had that moment (or wish we did). There is nothing but how they feel and how much you want them. Brian who?
Oh, I stan a woman who knows her power and uses it. Especially when she's unapologetic about her sexuality. And why is the name Dominic just so sexy?? A name? Why, but also yes.
Thank the sweet gods there's no cutesy little names for her, uhem, lady bits and the actual deed. Nothing takes you out of a story than feeling like you're reading an author from a high school health class who says b00bies. Like seriously? I'm grown and can say the actual words. Ok, maybe not here where my review will get yanked by the Zon, Zek, or other AI mods, but you know what I mean.
Dirty talk, too? Yes, please! Big STFUATTDLAGG energy. Babbling right before the actual point? You know it's so good. Ok, so it's not just that energy anymore, we're in actual Good Girl territory now. Babygirl? 🥵🫠😮💨🤤 Sent me into total hieroglyphics mode. Breeding, too? Lord, take me now. Or rather, Dominic take me now. 😏
Definitely possessive, daddy Dominic. Mmmm, ok. And they're actually talking, getting to know one another? How is this smut and yet also so freaking romantic?

Ok, seriously now. Not that I wasn't serious above, but smut Kayla aside, what starts out as revenge quickly evoles into a true-blue, instalove, romance. It's kinky and hot, but also sweet and has a HEA we'd all love. There's a solid friendship between the FMC and her roommate that doesnt have any cattiness or jealousy. Thats hard to find in a story about a confident FMC. I also love that the epilouge isn't just their HEA, but sets up that side character BFF for her own story. Yes, I could tell how it was going to go, but it's not predictable in a boring way. More in the way that I couldn't put it down /hoping/ it would go the way I wanted. There's no family drama or infighting, just a great short story full of steam and great writing.
I know this is a long review, but I wanted everyone who's never read RR to understand that while some of her stories are short, they're not lacking in satisfaction, in ANY area. 😏
If you're looking for a quick afternoon read, need to get in the mood, or just want to read a steamy, smutty one shot, you've found the right author.

Madison's upset that her boyfriend, Brian, broke up with her in a text. She's slipping into class when she notices the professor has changed to Dominic, her now ex-boyfriend's brother. Throughout class she is drawn to Dominic, noticing his every movement, and realizes she's never felt this way with any other guy. So she hatches a plan to seduce Dominic.
I enjoyed reading this book. A revenge plan quickly turns into never before felt feelings. And to find out that Dominic had his eyes on Madison from the moment he met her. Definitely not a one sided crush.

When Madison’s professor turns out to be her newly ex-boyfriend’s much older brother, Dominic, she hatches a plan to get even…and lose her v-card.
Rose Richards writes some of my very favorite age gap stories, but I don’t feel like this was one of her best. The writing is solid and spicy, and Dom and Madison make a good couple, so maybe it’s just that it doesn’t stand out to me in the saturated field of professor-student stories the way many of her stories do. Still a satisfying read, though.
There is an interesting twist at the end that I really hope turns into another story.

A Lesson in Lust is a short and steamy, somewhat kinky, instalove, OTT, age-gap, forbidden, student gets her professor erotic romance. Madison is a college student who was just dumped by her boyfriend of 3 years, Brian, via text. When she gets to her marketing class, Dominic, his hunky older brother, is her professor and a revenge plan to seduce him forms. But both are insanely attracted to each other, and what starts as a thought of revenge becomes true love with hot chemistry and a great HEA. I loved this quick and spicy story! I think we need one for Katie and Adrian too! 😉.

This book, unlike a lot of erotica, doesn’t start off with a bang so to speak. Instead, the sexual tension builds up for a couple of chapters first. This really pays off in the end, I think. It has all the tropes: Age Gap, Professor-Student Forbidden Love, Ex Boyfriend’s Brother, Dom Vibes, Schoolgirl Outfit, Secret Relationship, Breeding Kink…. And it has less than 30 pages to the story (there are a couple of previews, etc. at the end).

This is a very short and quick read. It is a steamy and hot story with an age gap and a bit of the forbidden. The story is about Madison and Dominic, her professor and ex's older brother. Madison has been dating Brian for three years when he suddenly breaks up with her over a text message. He is looking for action and she is not delivering. When she sees who her new professor she sets a plan for revenge and seduction. What she gets is way more than she could have every imagined. Interesting, sweet and fun story!

This was a super cute quick read! Madison is dumped by her boyfriend of three years via text (because she "won't put out.") She is in for a surprise when she shows up for her university class and the professor is her ex's much older - and more distinguished, together - older brother. What starts as an idea to get revenge, quickly changes....
