Clover feels like she has had more than her fair share of bad luck moments lately. From presenting as an omega after being raised as a beta to being whisked away to go to a new school to learn about her designation, she can't seem to stop and just breathe.
Just as she settles in to her new life it's ripped away from her and she is now in the home of Pack Mathers.
The beta is more than excited to have an omega stay with them. Even if it is just meant to be temporary, he wants to convince his pack that they are ready for an omega to join their pack. It's a hard sell for one alpha who dreams of them all making it pro. It's a harder sell for the alpha who just to his heart broken. The hardest sell might be to the pack lead who has already went pro and now is concerned about making everything perfect.
A fun ride where each character learns more about themselves and what perfection and happiness looks like to them.
Slick Handing is filled with spice, ice, and everything nice.
ok so I'll say this again I'm not normally an omegaverse fan. I think I read a few bad ones years ago and it made me shy away from the genre. that being said one of the things that I love about this author is how the Omegaverse feels it feels real like the designations are normal and have been adapted into society as they should be in an AU. This makes the characters relatable and the things happening between them feel plausible. The pack in this book had enough in common that they functioned as a pack but enough difference that they all felt like separate unique characters with their own issues and identities. None more so than the FMC Clover.... man did she go through it. I think this is a great exploration of group dynamics and how you can change for the better when the right people are found. There are some serious situations brought up so please do read the trigger warnings.
This was a was a really enjoyable read. I think it would be a great introduction to omegaverse. If you have ever been interested in trying out that subgenre and have a love of hockey romance, give this a try.
Poor Clover really goes through it in this book. When our FMC finds out late that not only is she an omega, but also what it means to be an omega, and exactly what people will do to claim one. She finds herself out of the life she knew and into a pack of grumbly alphas and one special beta. There are truly worse things than landing a room in the home of a bunch of hockey players, but things can never just go smoothly.
You get to navigate Clover's omega crash course, an obsessed Alpha, and the pack that was convinced an omega wouldn't fit in with them right now. You'll to fall for the pack right along with clover. Soon, be on the edge of you seat and have really good time.
There is a scene where our newbie omega goes shopping and the name of the store was such a good reference I cackled.
I really enjoyed this Arc. It was a sweet romance with a bit of pack drama and an Alpha who doesn't like to be told no. The pack is so sweet to her and I love how much they enjoy taking care of her. Please make sure to check triggers warnings. While this was really sweet, there is a decent amount of on page violence near the end and other harder topics too.
This was a cute omegaverse that also touched on some more serious topics.
Clover is a late presenting omega who grew up in a community of betas. The only things she really learned about omegas were that they were dirty and promiscuous. After an incident occurs at the Omega Academy, she is sent to Pack Mathers where she can attend classes and adjust to life as an omega. Pack Mathers consists of three alphas and a beta who are all determined to play professional hockey. The alphas are certain that an omega will only distract them, but McKinley, the beta, knows that she is the one for them.
I enjoyed this story and I thought that the premise was cute. At times, it seemed that Clover was painfully naive, but that made sense with her background. I absolutely loved how adorable McKinley was and how much influence he wielded over the alphas. Once the alphas decided to start courting Clover, they were amazingly sweet. Also, I loved Apollo’s family and how they were instantly so protective of Clover.
Overall, I thought this was a good omegaverse story and I would recommend it, but check the triggers since there are some darker topics/scenes.
This was a really good book. It kept you on your toes trying to figure what was going to happen next. This author was really good and I can’t wait to read more from her. I highly recommend this book
This book is.... Not bad but really not good either.
The FMC is a caricature of the sheltered naive innocent. Unfortunately this background means the author wrote her to sound very childish which gives a forced almost grooming feel to the MMCs. It just doesn't work well for me. She also has very little depth to her character and very little growth. Add in the fact that a completely uneducated woman is somehow placed into a university and you start seeing the inconsistencies the author crowbars in.
The MMCs are not awful, despite the grooming vibes the author forces onto them. Each one has a bit of depth, they are generally good people and, despite their flaws, tend to be trying to support, love and protect Clover. Very early in their relationship they are a bit daft but once they all get with the program that is McKinley's plan they step up to the plate well.
The antagonists are properly disgusting. I think they might be the best piece of this book puzzle simply because you can 100% hate them without any reservations. The bloodthirsty side of me is disappointed in the guys not making good on their decapitation threats but *sigh* fine, the resolution is fine.
The world building is a bit lacking. I don't understand what happened to Clover's parents, why the cult community is so insular, what the laws are regarding academy attendance (it seems compulsory but somehow not), or even the fiddly details of bonding, the legalities around it and how bonding works for the various designations. It's all a bit higgledy piggledy like the author was either trying to shove a ton of things in or just forgot her own details and lack thereof.
The editing quality is absolute garbage as well, making it a tough read at times. Typos, missed words, extra words, and poorly constructed sentences pile up on almost every page. One chapter just ends in the middle of a sentence.
I want to like this book. I'm disappointed that it left so much potential on the table. It's just not polished enough to call it good or recommend it unfortunately.
This had so many spelling errors and holes in the story that it's hard to look past to enjoy the book. There were some really great moments where you just felt awful for Clover and where you just want to hit the guys on the head.
But for the holes in the story:
• Alpha goes into a 3 day rut, Omega shows up and they cuddle in bed. She wakes up the next day with a hickey and teeth indents, but still a virgin and zero scenes to explain what happened??
• She spent several months at the Omega Academy before moving in with the guys, yet she hadn't been taught what a rut is for alphas?? And why didn't she make ANY friends outside of the pack with the exception of another shitty Omega, Marcus.
• Marcus gets beat up and runs her Clovers house for safety, yet he gets whisked away to start over with one of the Alphas parents but yet no punishment or even acknowledgment of his shitty behavior? Why? Because he's an oh so special Omega? Make that make sense.
• She runs away from the pack simply because the lead looks at the Beta and says "Pack meeting, are you ready" but didn't acknowledge Clover in his arms - so she literally runs out the door bc she didn't feel seen?
• She gets the crap beat out of her while kidnapped, yet in 24 hours after being rescued, she's going into heat and there is no mention of her injuries again. This could have been longer as she was in the hospital, but I didn't see where it said how long she was hospitalized.
• Epilogues. Dear God. There was an epilogue for EVERY single pack member and then the cat. While it was meant to be 'oh cute', by that point, I was so annoyed that I hated them a little bit.
While I did enjoy parts of this, this also needs another review by an editor - which seems to be a theme with these books in this series. The last book had the same issues with plot holes and severe editing issues.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book was adorable! The banter among the pack was so good. The guys had me giggling the whole time. Especially McKinley and Griffin 😂I adored McKinley and how much control he had of his alpha 😉
It took a bit, but once the guys turned the corner, they were so good for Clover. My heart broke for that poor girl and all she had experienced. I loved loved loved Apollo’s family and the way they swooped in to protect Clover. The fierce love they showed her was amazing.
This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read more!

“You’d be a beautiful blip in our timeline, but you’d be a gorgeous forever.”
I didn’t love this book as much as I was hoping I would. There was some world building stuff that bugged me. I almost stopped reading during the alphas rut cause that was just weird. Cuddles to cure a rut? No that’s weird lol and how betas bond also a departure and weird. The book also really needs an editor to go back through and fix some mistakes. I loved the omega clover but the guys were kinda meh… she needed strong alphas. One alphas damage seemed to take up way too much space and they just weren’t good enough for her. Kudos on them for trying for the second half of the book but they never really redeemed themselves enough for me. If you’re looking for a satisfying omegaverse this might not hit all the right spots as just a RH it’s fine but I didn’t satisfy my omegaverse craving
This story was okayish. I loved the story line and the characters. I loved how Clover grew into her designation. Vaughn somewhat overcame the family drama. Terry is a hoe. (Iykyk) Griffin has lost his playboy ways. Apollo learns to relay on his pack more. McKinley being the beta that glues this crazy pack together. One was my absolute favorite. 🐈. I loved the ending and the babies. However what makes this a 3 star for me is all the spelling errors. I can usually not let it bother me but poor McKinley’s nickname was spelled so many different ways it confused me.
I personally feel like the stories whole premise was that Clover is a ditz from a cult who doesn't know anything. All of the spelling errors and things being out of place made it harder to enjoy the book. Plus all of the names for McKinley, I saw Mickey spelled three different ways it made. It confusing to know what was going on.
I loved it so much can I just say the star of this story was obviously One. 😾 But I guess I will admit I like the whole FMC and MMCs Griffen was adorkable and so cute at his reformed way. A few grammatical things but the storyline was cute
Clover grew up an omega in a beta-only community (cult) and when an awful alpha tries to force a bond, she's rescued and eventually sent to college and is to live with this group of hockey players who mean well...but have issues of their own.
Clover is amazing and hilarious! Her sweet naivety is exactly what these guys need. And McKinley (the pack beta) was perfect! He knew right from the start that she was it!
I love me some Omegaverse and this had so much potential but there are so many typos, formatting issues and some disjointed sentences. If edited and cleaned up this could be a great read.
I really enjoyed this OV romance! It seemed to hit all the boxes for me, plot was good, spice was spicin, it did seem really long by the end, but it was a great HEA.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. It was exciting to get an idea about a pack that was newly created and how they were focused on their careers. It was quite a twist with the beautiful unique Clover entering into their busy world. I had trouble putting this book down. There was so much slow burn and angst going on that I wanted to keep going to find out what happened. Each character has so much going on personally that it gave a complete picture about who they each were. There is a lot of growth that happens and a bit of backtracking also. I am in awe of how real their lives and problems felt and the struggles they all went through. I can only imagine how the world must have felt for Clover just from her past and not even her dealings with the Weaver pack. There is also hockey... HOCKEY HOTTIES!!! YES, please....
This is a sweet story of love and spice, but there is suspense, and not everyone is kind. Read the trigger warnings as always and go from there.
Oh Clover! This girl is not only an omega, but learned that how she’s been brought up her entire life is NOT how things normally go. When she finally gets an opportunity to start learning about who she is, she's accosted by a group of alphas who want to stake a claim. After which she is whisked away to a safe place, which happens to be the pack house of hockey players: Apollo, Vaughn, Griffin and McKinley. The last thing these boys want or need is an omega. But when the bad guys come looking for Clover, will they protect what might be the best thing to happen to them or let their careers take priority? Sweet, funny, with the right amount of drama and angst.

Clover's life is turned upside down when she presents as an omega. She barely knows how to be a beta outside of how her family raised her let alone an omega. She doesn't know the first thing about being an omega and even less about alphas.
She's barely settled into life before things go awry again and suddenly, she's thrown into the care of Pack Mathers. The alphas might not be thrilled she's there but McKinley, the pack's beta, is sure she's their missing link he just has to convince them that.
When the alphas finally open their eyes and realize Clover is the one for them, they jump right into courting her and treating her like their omega.
Shoutout to Apollo's family for being amazing and immediately taking Clover under their wing, protecting her like one of their own children.
I was laughing so much throughout the book, it was endearing to see Clover come into herself and learn everything most people are more than familiar with.
If you're looking for something low angst-high fluff this is definitely a winner IMO.
