Ruthless Marriage

Rate this book
Last night, he made me beg for him.
This morning, I learned the cruel truth about why he really married me.

Artem is not the man I thought I married.

He promised me a fake marriage to save my family’s business.
A simple arrangement. No strings. No feelings. No lies.

But he’s no ordinary billionaire.
He’s a cold, calculating monster who thrives on control.
A Russian mafia boss hiding in plain sight.

I see it now in the way his sharp eyes follow my every move.
The way his deep voice wraps around me like a velvet rope.
The way his hands claim me, binding me in ways I didn’t know I wanted.

Last night, he made me beg for him.
This morning, I learned the cruel truth about why he really married me.

And now, it’s too late.
I’m pregnant with his baby,
And he’s made it clear—I belong to him.

But the enemies circling us don’t care about his obsession.
They want me dead.
And the man I thought was my savior might be the one to destroy me.

Somehow I got ahold of the non-spicy version of this book. Not complaining as "the dirty" is pretty much the same ol thing every single time rofl. (I mention this as BDSM is a part of this book and I cannot speak on it's accuracy or any potential toxicity.)

I liked their mutual support and the progression of their relationship, but it felt like a whole ton of stuff was sadly missing from this story. I was really curious about some of the thought processes that were present at the beginning and were somehow not at the end. Honestly felt like I was reading about totally different characters by the time I got to the end.

Her family was horrible and gave off these indecisive vibes which made the entire story feel somewhat pointless.

The betrayal was so lame that it didn't even feel like something that should have been included.

Also, why did it seem like she realized she was twice? Once in the bathroom and then once afterwards?

Bella King’s Ruthless Marriage is an intoxicating whirlwind of passion, deception, and raw intensity. From the very first page, the tension crackles between Artem and his unsuspecting bride, drawing the reader into a world where love and danger walk a razor’s edge.

What starts as a simple, no-strings arrangement quickly unravels into something far more sinister—and far more irresistible. Artem isn’t just a billionaire savior; he’s a cold and possessive mafia boss, a man who doesn’t just take control—he owns it. And once he lays claim to his wife, there’s no turning back.

King masterfully balances high-stakes danger with searing chemistry, creating a dark romance that is as suspenseful as it is steamy. Every touch, every stolen moment, every whispered promise is laced with the possibility of betrayal, yet the pull between Artem and his bride is undeniable. And when an unexpected pregnancy raises the stakes, the question is no longer if she can escape—but if she even wants to.

With its gripping twists, ruthless antihero, and sizzling tension, Ruthless Marriage is perfect for readers who crave a dark, obsessive romance where the lines between love and possession blur. Artem is the kind of hero you should run from—but can’t help but be drawn to, making this book impossible to put down.

A beneficial business deal

If you have read other books by Bella King then you know what to expect and it is delivered with Ruthless Marriage. The first page pulls you in and the last page leaves you wanting more. In between it is the story of Mila Belmont and Artem Romanov. It is a marriage that is brokered between her father and Artem in exchange for him providing financial backing to her families business and in return he will be able to get citizenship, but also the lovely Mila to have a play with. What we find along the way is that these two begin to fall for each other in ways they were not expecting. What started as a business deal will end with a HEA that is perfect for the two of them.

Bella King has given us another beautiful mafia romance. We are taken along in the life of Artem and Mila. Artem is a hard man who you would rather not have anything to do with and gets angry if it does not happen his way or if he does not get what he wants and then there is Mila. Will he get Mila and will she accept the offer of a sham marriage? Or Mila accepts his arranged marriage or does she refuse the offer. A great story with bumps and roads and a few unexpected twists and surprises and enough passion and steam.

I didn’t really like the characters and I didn’t like how the situation was introduced or how it was developing.

Mila senses that something weird is going on at the gala with her family, but they keep telling her that it’s none of her business. How did they think they were going to marry her off to Artem? Did they think she wouldn’t notice being married to another person? I don’t care to continue to see how this drama will play out.

Why is Chloe being kept in the dark? It seems pointless and just adds to my general annoyance with the book.

This book wasn’t for me.

This is an exceptionally great mafia romance read that will keep you on the edge of you seat while turning the kindle pages fast. Artem is a cold-hearted man that will stop at nothing to get what he thinks is his and that is including Mila. So, the ultimate question is will Mila soften Artem's heart and does she want to or is this arranged marriage a sham? Trust me you need to read this book to see how everything ends and there are a few surprises along the way.

First time reading this author.
I enjoyed this book. I really appreciate when the third act conflict in romances . occurs via external sources, rather than from miscommunication, or from one or both of the main characters behaving stupidly. This book had an outside source, and I liked the way it was resolved, which made the HEA all that much sweeter. I plan to read more from this author, in future.

Loved this dark romance. I love a alpha male who is sinfully sexy as well as demanding, who realizes he has heart he didn't even know existed. When he first sees Mila, he's intrigued by her fisty attitude, she's not afraid to stand up to him. A great read as these two have a battle of wills as they navigate this marriage. I voluntarily read and reviewed this boom.

Good read

You felt the love between Mila and Artem. Good storyline. The only critique would be that the Russian enemies wouldn't have given up so quickly just because the FBI did. Other than that, I enjoyed the book.

It was a good quick read… because it was quick. There’s very minimal world building…. I do think that it was a good story. It was just a little too quick.

Good Short Story

Good read has potential, but it doesn’t flow or the flow is forced, or rather rushed. The rushing through the story gave it a lot of loop holes.

Es un libro fácil de leer, cumple con el objetivo que es entretener, no tiene demasiado drama lo cual es bueno en mi caso cuando vengo de una lectura más pesada, en resumen es un libro ligero que te gustará
