Blood and Betrayal: Trinity Of Thorns

Rate this book
A fractured kingdom. A battle for the crown. A betrayal that will shake the realm.

Prince Althern has spent his life defending the kingdom his father built, but loyalty is a blade that cuts both ways. As shadows gather on the borders and whispers of rebellion grow louder, he must face enemies on every front—some far closer than he ever imagined.

In the heart of the chaos, Pax, a blacksmith’s son, is mistaken for royalty and swept into a deadly game of ambition and power. Armed with little more than his courage and his father’s blade, he must find his place in a conflict that could shape the fate of the realm.

But not all battles are fought with swords. In the shadows of the forest, the ruthless bandit leader known as Widow weaves a web of treachery, while a mystical white wolf watches from afar, offering warnings of a kingdom on the brink of ruin.

As armies march toward the gates of Epiris, and betrayal threatens to destroy the last bonds of trust, the fate of the crown will be decided in blood.

Duty. Power. Sacrifice. The throne demands all.

I was lucky enough to get the ARC of this book and Oh,Boy it didn't dissapoint!✨
We follow of Casius, who has to protect his sister after a tragic incident has found him,as you have already understood things get very complicated and he will find himself tangled with situations and people that won't be easy to overcome...
Morgan literally KNOWS how to write a good fantasy book, and we see it first in his prologue. The moment you start to get tied-up in a chaos that will make you not be able to stop reading.
As for his writing it was beyond wonderful!Besides being really descriptive he paced everything from paper to mind easily.I truly felt I was there next to everyone fighting, talking, battling.
Added,it was fast-paced and the classic getting-bored-in-a-scene because so many things happen without a particular reason was no existent.
The plot was amazing, things constantly happen-I didn't have a moment of peace in this book(I was so here for it🤌🏻).Plus, the vibe reminded me something between Vikings and the Witcher, which I adored!+He managed to get the vibe without COPYING anything from those-We don't see that often!
Our main boy,he was ready to give it all, everytime and he went from just a protecting brother to being involved with the kingdom,as you can see he had a major character development!
From me it is a solid 5⭐ read that I would love to read again for the first time, yet this isn't possible for me but it is for you!Keep your notification open and purchase when available!

If you love fantasy and prefer a world without dragons, this is the book that you want to read.
The world building is phenomenal, epic gut wrenching battles full of action that are well paced, never rushed and that you never want to stop reading about. The author does a great job zooming you into the story, making you fell you are in the middle of it.
I absolutely loved all the characters in this story. They all feel so vivid and real, their dynamic is so natural ant they are always working together as a team.
You are their growth through the story.
For those who love romance, there’s also a love story. It is not the main focus but it was also done well and very natural.
This book was definitely interesting and engaging. Loved every minute of it and already looking forward to the next book in the series.

YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK! I was so lucky to have received an ARC copy, and I couldn’t put it down! The world-building is phenomenal—Morgan has created an incredibly vivid and violent kingdom filled with characters you can’t help but root for. The story moves quickly, but never feels rushed, and I loved all the small, quiet moments between the brilliantly-executed battle scenes. Fans of John Gwynne, Anthony Ryan, and Ryan Cahill, this one is DEFINITELY for you! Blood and Betrayal sets the stage for what is sure to be a fantastic series!

4.5/5 ⭐️ Such a good read! I was lucky enough to get this sent to me and I’m so glad I have read it. I loved the different stories of each character, Pax and his story and I loved the determination of Casius and Arla. Prince Althern was exactly what the kingdom needed and I hope whatever the story next brings him is worthy of him. Overall such a fab read and if there is ever a next book then I know the story will be great.
