Rate this book
If you could find out exactly when you would meet the love of your life; would you want to know?

Octavia Logan desired to have her fairy tale love story, and not wanting to leave anything to chance, she went to see Madame Laurent to receive an exact timing love device. But one very long year later, her forever love has not shown his face and she is prepared to throw the device into the trash. That is until she received an invite to the biggest party of the year. Anybody who was anybody was going to be there so surely she was going to meet him on this night. Unfortunately, her ex, Jamal Guidry, was in attendance also and was determined to speak to her. Although Octavia tried to avoid him, naturally he was standing right at her side when her bracelet started to glow. She could not believe her bad luck.

The ultimatum Octavia issued Jamal two years ago didn’t sit too well with him which led to their breakup, but he wanted her back and he was willing to do anything he could to accomplish that. Thankfully, Tavi was open to giving him a second chance and he was not going to let the same thing happen twice. Until it does. The very reason she left him before, becomes an issue again, leaving them at a crossroads.

Can Octavia and Jamal get over the obstacles that are constantly coming between them or will they lose out on love for the second time around?

One Sided

Tavi was slow! When I read the reviews I said I’ll read it anyway. I might like it. I didn’t! It was well written for the most part.

However, I don’t like books where the woman’s always right and never apologizes to the man. It’s like the man is written to be walked all over and the woman is right no matter how stupid. I am trying to critique this without giving the story away. My 11 year old knows what this woman took the entire length of the book to figure out. I skipped a portion of this book and that says a lot because I love to read and usually get through 2 books a day. I hat reading stupid. I’m shocked the ratings for this isn’t lower.

At first

I like this author's books most of the time. And this one was no different. It was slower and took a minute to get to the story. Octavia was almost too annoying with her back and forth over Jamal's career choice. There is little intimacy in this story, but I was okay with this storyline. The love and the couple's connection were still solid.

hated it

I personally didn’t like this one- the heroine was too needy. She said she wanted love but then faught it because of his job. Her constant need for him to prove love was a turnoff for me. I wanted him to loose interest and date someone else for her to come to senses
