“I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” They are “the two olive trees … they stand before the Lord of the earth.” Revelation 11:3&4
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world …” Ephesians 6:12
They possess neither lofty titles nor great wealth, and their weapons cannot be seen with natural eyes. Yet the impact of their authority is unmistakable. And the powers of darkness rise in retribution.
In the not-too-distant future, a woman watches an internet video stream from the other side of the world and knows she has found the partner she’s been waiting for. In those images she sees a young waiter with miraculous power, power to heal dozens in one evening. With her sister a political prisoner in China, she’ll have to take her niece with her to search for that young man, and to shelter the little girl from the grasp of the Chinese government.
As wildfires, hurricanes, earthquakes, and floods ravage the world, anarchy and violence continue to increase. Rulers serve only their own interests and those of the wealthy, leaving billions to starve. What can two people, and their small band of followers, do? They can bear witness to the truth, truth that is light penetrating the darkness.
Join Eli and Miriam as they carry that light through a world full of conflict and chaos. They cross the globe, following God’s supernatural direction, and conquer sickness, sin, and death.
Will their testimony change the world? Will it inspire the timid church? Or will they merely incite the hatred of those who steal, kill and destroy? How much will it cost them to bear witness to what principalities and powers wish to keep hidden?
—That the power present in the two witnesses proves Jesus is alive and advancing in their world.
The TWO WITNESSES series will include three KINGDOM, Book 1; POWER, Book 2; and GLORY, Book 3.
I was fortunate to receive an ARC copy of this wonderful book. Two Witnesses is an inspiring and thought-provoking description of the power of faith and of the end times as portrayed in the book of Revelations. It is the story of the two individuals referred to in chapters 10 and 11 of Revelations, who find they are carriers of divine protection. In the conviction that Jesus Christ is alive and well on Earth, they perform miracles and heal the sick in his name. As their fame grows, they develop a very diverse group of followers who travel with them to wherever they feel Jesus is directing them. Not everyone is pleased with them, though. Political and religious organizations oppose and even plot to kill them. The characters are very real, very human people who are placed in extraordinary situations. Several of the characters have Biblical names, which add to the sense of reality of the story. Every book Jeffrey McClain Jones has written has inspired and entertained me, and this one met my high expectations. I can't wait to read Book Two. Carole Pickett
Kingdom is a very interesting book. It was hard to tell when exactly this book takes place, but I feel it occurs before the rapture. I enjoyed Eli and Miriam and their companions. The demonstrations of God's power were awesome! This book made me think about my faith and wonder if I will ever see miracles like those in the book. I am looking forward to reading book 2 and see where Mr. Jones goes with his story.
I would suggest fixing a pitcher of iced tea and settling in for a great read.
I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. All thoughts are my own.
I enjoyed reading this book although I don't think my personal Christian beliefs can accept every thing in it. That's why it's Fiction, I guess. However, I must say that on the subject of Angels & demons, & that they are able to interfere with human lives, is not negotiable! Of course they can, but even they are under God's Control! The storyline is set sometime in the future, but uses several events in our own timelime to show how God's Power might have intervened. Whether the author meant these to say that no-one attempted to call on Him as the protagonists did in the book, or that it wasn't God's will at the time, I don't know. I am quite interested in Book #2, if it is available on Kindle Unlimited, as my budget is non-existent at the moment. However, I would like for the author, & other readers & potential readers, to know that while reading, I had my own Miracle from God! And not the first! My home was up for foreclosure, as of tomorrow. I have no way to save it, but I continued to Trust God for it. My home is no longer in foreclosure! Praise God from Whom ALL Blessings flow!
This is a book "for such a time as this". It is not only a great inspirational read, but it is true if you have a pure & humble heart and are led by the Holy Spirit. I enjoyed how the team forms and how it encourages others to start stepping out in Faith, too. A challenging and inspirational book. This is walking in the Spirit- for real! The question is- What is God prompting YOU to do? I received it as an ARC.
This book was given to me by the author Jeffrey M. Jones to read in advance. I am leaving an honest and truthful review. I really enjoyed the book…end times and futuristic….the characters Eli and Miriam are so likeable and believable…every part of the story was based on the Bible. I liked that! It makes you realize that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever…what He did 2000 years ago is still happening and we are the hands, feet etc that must continue His work. Way to go Jeffrey!
Sometimes books in this genre become overwhelming for me. This book was perfect in holding my attention and challenging my thoughts from beginning to end. The storyline flowed smoothly in the writing style. Details of scenes and personalities of characters all worked together for an interesting read. Looking forward to Book 2, and as with other books by this author, I would love to see this come to life on screen or streaming.
Jeffery MacClain Jones has done it again. He’d taken a story of two witnesses and made it believable that we can do as they did, “ heal the sick, deliver the oppressed of the devil, and raise the dead.” The story is biblical based that all things are possible for them who believe. Two random people believed and set in motion, with the faith of God what is possible. A good challenge for us to mimic.
This novel isn’t talking about end times just our world wide turmoil times. Our characters are regular people. They have Jesus living within them. This is the tale of the leading & peace of this joining. Does it lead to tribulation? I guess I’ve got to read the next three.
The Everlasting Tube of Toothpaste was the best part of this book. I think it was intentionally added to remind readers hour bizarre some of the things in the book. I guess I could consider it thought provoking, but to be honest, I couldn't wait to be finished with it and will not read the second in the series.
Faith based, inspiring . Page turner and scary events . I received this book from the author and any opinions expressed are voluntary. I have read almost all the books by this author and recommend them.
Wow! This story is so deep. It draws the reader in so that you can't stop reading. If my eyes didn't get tired like they do at night, I would have finished this book yesterday!! I can hardly wait for the 2nd one.
