When Danny Shaw's ex dumped the job of returning some...personal items...to a short list of his previous conquests on him that seemed like imposition enough. Until he opened the bag and found that the items in question could best be described as extremely intimate and disturbingly detailed.
But when life gives you a bag of hyper-realistic sex toys, modeled after penises your ex knew and admired, what else is there to do but find the biggest dick you know and ask if one of them is his?
Meanwhile, all Will wanted was a quiet night out. Not that he was going to turn down a chance to spend time with Danny, even if it did lead to some weird conversations.
I loved the idea of the book, and there were times when I laughed very loud. Especially the ending. Loved it. But there were a lot of things in this one that made it harder to follow. It felt rushed and not as developed as the other books in this series. I still liked the book and do recommend reading it though. 3.5 stars.
Danny has just broken up with one of the island's most infamous men and among the left behind belongings is a bag of personal toys that are even more personal than usual as they are based on real life counterparts. Danny (for some reason) takes it upon himself to return these toys to their original models, which means visiting his exes exes, starting with the best friend/sometime lover Will. Will turns out not to be any of the models, but he does offer to help Danny with finding the other owners along with a little rebound relief. The two head off on one of the oddest adventures together which is full of equal parts amusement and drama, all while getting closer to each other.
This was a really fun read, with the two leads pairing up really well. There was some self realization for each man, with the encounters with the other exes revealing things not only about themselves but also about their own actions. It was a bit of self discovery all mixed up with plenty of attraction all over top of these constant toys which just gave a constant heaping dose of humour and heat. A really fun novella well worth the read!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Danny's ex left a box of toys. Danny isn't quite sure what to do with them, so he approaches said ex's best friend to see if he knows who they might belong to. Will just wants a quiet night, but spending time with Danny will do. Then Danny springs his dilemma on him and Will makes his mind up to help Danny.
What I did not like about this book was that it was short! Short on page space: only 90 odd pages and short on time: whole book takes place over couple days.
What I loved about this was it was short! Contradictory, I know! I loved that we get this short burst, because I really don't think it would've worked as a longer book. But I still didn't like that it was short, as I wanted more of Danny and Will!
It's cute, it's funny, it's steamy and smexy but it carries some emotion too. Especially for Danny finding out about his ex and about said ex was doing. Will was shocked by his so called best friend!
Dick Move by TA Moore is a story about a bag of intimate personal items. When Danny approached his ex’s best friend Will to help him return said intimate items to the appropriate person you can't just make this up. Along the way Will finds out more than he bargained for about his friend Lucas and also the feelings he was beginning to have for Danny. I really loved this book. It was sweet, funny and playful in the most creative ways. When I need a smile I will definitely reread it for a laugh.
cute easy read, low angst, nice touch of fun/humor. 2 people realizing that the other, who they thought didn't like/approve of them, may not just share a bit of interest in them after all and there could be more than just a little heat and chemistry between them. the relationship moves forward quickly (it is a novella) but doesn't feel rushed an the ending feels more HFN than HEA but still satisfying and with the potential for more.

Dick Move is funny and playful story centered around an unexpected mission—returning a bag of intimate personal items. When Danny enlists his ex’s best friend, Will, to help him return the items to their rightful owner, chaos and unexpected revelations follow. Along the way, Will learns more about his friend Lucas than he ever expected and begins to develop feelings for Danny. With its mix of sweetness, humor, and charm, this book is a delightful read that guarantees laughs and feel-good moments.
Will and Danny don't have much in common apart the misfortune of knowing Luca, Danny's ex and Will's former best friend. Oh, and some inconvenient mutual attraction. When Danny shows up in a bar with a bag full of silicone d*cks Will takes the opportunity to get together with Danny under the excuse of helping him track down the possible owners.
This was an amusing story, sometimes a little bit confusing story, by a yet unknown to me author, but I would be interested in reading more.
This novella was just what doctor prescribed. Although I usually don't go for short low angst reads I really enjoyed this one. Sprinkled with humor and some really hilarious scenes, despite it's shortness, author still manages to convey emotional depth, along with some obvious and some more hidden insecurities of the MC's. I also love TA Moore's ability to bring to life even the most insignificant side characters and make them memorable. And it's hot BTW.
Take a premise that is both hilarious and just a little bittersweet (Danny’s ex is a tool in every sense of the word) and add some solid chemistry, some genuinely ridiculous moments to go with some sweet ones and some steamy ones, and you get this story. Well worth a read.
*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This was my first story by this author, and I plan to read more of her books. I picked up this book strictly because of the title, and it did not disappoint! I was entertained from start to finish by the shenanigans of Danny and Will as they attempt to give back a bag of, you guessed it, dicks. Don't miss this fun tale!
I can honestly say that I’ve never read anything like this. Ever. Danny’s ex asked him for one last favor. Danny, being the sweetheart he was, did his best. Will helped. A few guys were civil about it, a few weren’t. Either way, it was hilarious! Short and quite amusing!
A very amusing short read, with a particularly unexpected mission involving finding the real-life models of certain toys. I really enjoyed Will and Danny and their tentative steps towards building a real connection together.
I was reading this book and the page numbers on the bottom didn't change for little while, I found that annoying. The characters were boring and lacked chemistry. I did not enjoy this book and do not recommend it.
Another wonderfully funny read in the Island Confidential series; I really enjoyed reading about Danny and Will This is an amusing story with a little bit of a mystery in it.
While the premise of the book was mildly humorous, this execution had some technical issues. There were time skips, and location changes that weren’t well indicated- one moment they were waiting for someone, the next deep in conversation with them, one paragraph they’re on a ferry, the next they are getting off the bed; It felt really disjointed. The characters were ok. The ex Luca was truly an a-hole and everyone was well rid of him…
This one had me at the mention of a bag of dicks 😂 TA Moore has blessed us with a well written and funny story about two guys who decide to return said dicks to their owners. If you read this you'll get it 😊 Will and Danny get on so well together, as they valiantly seek out each guy. I loved them together, the wickedly charming Will and shy Danny. The secondary characters are entertaining too, especially Will's dad, he's hilarious, I loved the banter between the two of them.
'Dad had survived a stroke, only to be done in by a bit of scampi and a story about some plastic cocks. “If you die,” Will threatened as he whacked his dad between the shoulder blades. “I’m going to tell everyone how at your funeral.”
“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” he chuckled and picked up his pint. “Seeing your aunt Ella’s face when you tell that story would be worth being dead.”'
A great pick me up, can't wait for the next book in the series.
