Thrown together by fate but pulled apart by the Darkness, They embark on separate journeys of self-discovery. New alliances form, fresh sparks of romance ignite, and ancient prophecies begin to unfold.
In a realm where magick flows like lifeblood and betrayal lurks at every turn, can they find their place in a changing world?

Colorful magick, bioluminescent waters and opulent palaces. The world Ligia paints with her words, is amazing as always.
The story of the beautiful sisters from Mosa continues in this book, though this time the main focus is on lady Nisa Asha, Zari, Ria (the princess from Grimerg Rise) and King Ril. Ofcourse there is quite a lot of passion between characters, and this time we even get two possible couples to melt over.
The evil darkness is spreading fast, making countless new victims, and it remains a mystery to where it even came from. The story is action packed, has a nice pace and has some jawdropping plot twists too!
I received an ARC of this book, and... I have thoughts. First and foremost, this story is fantastic. I started this series for the strong BIPOC FMC's and have not been disappointed! The world Ligia is creating is beautiful and vibrant, and so engaging. The characters have ran me through a range of emotions and I cannot wait to see what happens next!
That said, since this was an ARC read, I wasn't here for vibes alone like I usually am. My only issues really come down to two things: editing and length. I'll keep it all vague to avoid spoilers, but there were a number of times where descriptions felt repetitive, or scenes were contradictory. For example, in one instance the same paragraph is written almost back to back, or a character who was directly addressed in one scene, is also addressed in a scene in the following chapter by a group a kingdom away and both scenes are supposed to be happening simultaneously. In another instance, two characters exclusively referred to as he/him for three books are referred to as she/her in one scene of this book, then are back to he/him. The change is clearly unintentional and should have been an easy catch to fix. Lastly, there's a moment in the epilogue that completely contradicts and undoes a pivotal scene a few chapters before. Altogether, this felt more like a rough draft than finished product, and I'm hoping as an ARC read it's exactly that. I would love to see ROACK and any following book(s) be released with better editing and more pages. I would have appreciated reading 100 or so additional pages that allowed for more world building, tension, and fewer time jumps. All of these issues are unfortunately present in each book of the series and feel unfair to the story as a whole. Like I said, the world Ligia is creating is so wonderful and these characters deserve the time it takes to absorb their stories and immerse yourself in their world.
I highly recommend The Mōsa Chronicles on the whole and hope to see it just get better as it grows.
The Mōsa Chronicles return with more action, romance, and intrigue. I have been following this series from the start, and I love the premise of an Afro-Caribbean inspired fantasy epic. Strong BIPOC female leads and a unique world makes for such strong potential in this story. The strength of the series is the world building - each area of Transea is distinctive in characteristics of the land and the people. The descriptions are rich and really help put the reader into the scene. Another strength is the characters who help showcase the diversity of Transea. The strong females make this series, but you'll be finding yourself with a new book boyfriend or two, and a few "you're mine" moments.
I agree with another reviewer who mentioned some continuity and pacing issues. Definitely to be expected in an ARC. Overall, ROACK helps move the story forward, and without giving too much away, I was glad to see where the end of the book brought us. I will be on the lookout for the 4th installment!
I am so excited to be back in the world of The Mōsa Chronicles. I fell in love with this series after I heard the song ‘Here, Before, Now and After’ by Morgan Clae last year. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of the 3rd book in the series. Ligia does an amazing job at world building and gives depth to all of the characters. This book tops the series and that is saying a lot because the 1st and 2nd were amazing. One issue that I had with several scenes was the length; they were either too short or too long. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I hope everyone gets a chance to read this amazing series.
I received this as an arc … and let me tell you it blew me away. I absolutely love the world that was built here and the characters are absolutely fantastic!
I want to say so much but I don’t want to give it all away…Nisa was lowkey making me mad. I totally understand why she treated Rill like that though. But after a while she knew what it was. Rill has so much patience and I loved that about him. He’s definitely the definition of people can change. Oh Zari I understand the being torn in this situation. You handled it the best you could. Now Ria was my girlll…I loved her. Just her nurturing spirit and warmth. Holy Mother! The ending. Sole. Rivian. I absolutely did not see that coming. What. Oh my mouth was on the floor. What’s next for all of Transea??? What’s next for the Luna, Sole and Lola Rill is my favorite ❤️
