give her a chance.

Blake Emerson has no time to go lookin’ for love. He’s got
a ranch to run, positions to fill, and an ache in his heart
from love gone wrong. So when he agrees to harbor a witness
to help on the ranch, Blake assumes his first two problems are
solved. But he never dreamed his new guest would be a

Reese is adorable! She is so sweet and naturally happy, that even a scary situation with a stalker doesn't keep her down for long. I loved the way she would interact with Blake and the ranch hands, having fun in the midst of tense times. She's a very likable girl, with her beauty shining through, both inside and out.

Blake is such a traditional man. He's very kind and caring, almost taking his role of protector too seriously, all the in name of being honorable, hard-working, and supportive. He's gruff and ruggedly handsome--I would even be intimidated by him! The battle he fought with himself over his feelings for Reese was very entertaining. Who could resist his charms?

I loved watching the romance blossom and the suspenseful element was fantastic! I was on edge reading through those parts--very romantic and very creepy. The author did a great job in drawing me completely into the story.

This is exactly the kind of story that I love to escape in. I absolutely adore a story that shows the way two people meet and fall in love! I especially love it if the book is filled with tender glances, smoldering looks, sizzling kisses, and that's all. This book does have some passionate kissing, but everything beyond that is saved for marriage and after that, it fades to black and is left behind closed doors.

Content: a few mild expletives; mild violence (talk of murder, stalking, attempted murder, but none of it is really graphic); passionate kissing.

What a tender and suspenseful story Reese's Cowboy Kiss: Witness Protection - Rancher Style: Blake’s Story by Kimberly Krey is. It delivers a heartfelt blend of danger, romance, and healing. Reese Taylor, a former Texas pageant queen, enters witness protection after her old classmate becomes dangerously obsessed with her. She’s sent to Emerson Ranch, where Blake Emerson, a hardworking cowboy with a heavy heart agrees to shelter her. Blake never expected his new “ranch hand” to be a woman, much less one as charming and unexpectedly vulnerable as Reese. The setup is romantic and tense, as the threat to Reese’s life lingers beneath the ranch’s calm surface.

The emotional core of the book is really what made me fall in love with it. Blake’s dedication to his ranch and his quiet pain from past heartbreak give him a grounded vulnerability that contrasts beautifully with Reese’s bravery and occasional fear. I appreciated how Krey writes their growing connection: it’s not just about stolen glances and tender moments, but also about trust. Reese has to lean into Blake for protection, and Blake has to risk his heart again. The pacing balances the looming danger and the softer, more intimate scenes really well; there were moments when I held my breath, and others when I smiled at how Reese and Blake begin to build a “found family” in the wide-open Montana landscape. My only gentle criticism is that some parts of the suspense felt slightly predictable, but that didn’t dampen how much I rooted for them. Overall, this novel left me feeling hopeful, sweetly satisfied, and comforted by the idea that even in hiding, love and safety can grow.

4 / 5 for its warmth, emotional sincerity, and the perfect mix of romance and protection.

I really enjoyed Reese's Cowboy Kiss. Life has been a bit hectic and crazy lately so it was nice to disappear into a book and get a much needed break from reality.

This series has been on my TBR list for a few years now so I decided it was time to read them! I loved Reese and Blake! I did want to knock Blake up side the head of few times but thank goodness he finally came to his senses! Him and Reese are perfect together! *dreamy sigh*

I do have to say that the stalker was definitely a creeper! I did not see that twist coming. My brain went in an entirely different direction so I was like... wait, what?! The man definitely earned the title CREEPER!

I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series!

Best day ever! This book was waiting for me when I first got up this morning. I took the morning by mad rush to get all my "must-do” items done so I could read.

Kimberly Krey is one of my all-time favorite authors and every time a new book is released it feels like Christmas day.

Kimberly knows how to bring tension, chemistry and sizzle to her books. In this book, the chemistry between Reese and Blake is utterly palpable. I could feel it. I call it the “steam, steam, it’s so fogged up I can’t breathe, steam”. Yeah. The cool thing is that even though there is chemistry, sizzle and steam, it doesn’t over power the whole story. The rush of adrenaline at the end with the “bad guy” was great. My heart was pounding throughout this book for many different reasons.

I loved Blake. He is level headed, responsible and well, he is a cowboy. I know I always say this but there is just something about cowboys. Oh, and a cowboy in mud? Who knew it could be so hot?! Blake is all man but he is also a gentleman, a protector. That’s enough to make any woman gush.

Reese is a beauty inside and out. Even when her world was turned upside down, she was still pleasant and kind to others. Her happy outlook was refreshing and made me love her. So often I read books where bad things happen and the character becomes mean or jaded. It was so nice to have Reese’s personality shine through.

As stated above, this is considered a clean romance book. There are no explicit sex scenes but there are some steamier kissing scenes. There is also some mild swearing.

I enjoyed this read, but there were flaws along the way. It is a nice concept, but the story feels slow mid-way through. The reason for he need of protection seems to be forgotten, often. Then suddenly the danger pops up again.

Reese is sweet, too sweet at times. I generally like her, it's just the pageant girl stuff. She is also shockingly naive at times. Oh, and I am not even going to get into the TSTL(too stupid to live) moments at the end.

Blake tends to run hot and cold, it was hard to really get a bead on him. I just kept thinking he was acting like a jerk, why would she like him? He does mellow out towards the end, but you miss a lot of it because the story fast forwards.

It is a mixed narrative, giving both leads POV, which kind of put you in their shoes. It goes a long way for keeping Blake out of my doghouse.

This romance is geared more for the clean readers. That is right kids, no ding ding, until there is a wedding ring. Then the bedroom door is shut in your naughty face!

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Lesley Ann Fogle, who does a great job. She does a Southern twang on Reese that I was not always fond of. It made her feel whiny. Other than that, she has a great pace and tone throughout the read. She makes it a comfortable listen, after you get used to that sugar sweet accent.

Overall, I enjoyed this read and would be interested to see what happens with the rest of the series. I think the others are his brothers. Could be intriguing reads.

Romances are something that I typically enjoy, but all too often, they are forgettable. I can honestly say that my favorite romance, "Sierra" by Taylor Dean, is one that resonated with me, and since that time, no other book has gotten close to the euphoria I felt as I read that book. Until now. This book is everything I love--clean romance, mystery, comedy--all rolled into one. And I can honestly say that this book is just a notch below my favorite.

When I call this a clean romance, I mean that the profanity is nothing to speak of--extremely mild. And there are no bedroom scenes. In fact, those Reese and Blake refuse to be intimate while not married. Very rare in today's culture. While I wouldn't necessarily classify this book as Christian, there are several references to God and prayer.

The romance described within this book is some of the most swoon-worthy I have ever read. All too often, I had to set the book down and just recover my breath! Can a guy as wonderful as Blake exist? Well, he does in the pages of this tale! And although this follows the typical romance formula, the author does add a bit of spiciness here and there. If you enjoy romances, this book is for you!

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

I want to thank Kimberly Krey, author and Goodreads First Reads Giveaway for the eBook Kindle copy of Reese's Cowboy Kiss: Witness Protection ~ Ranch Style: Blake's Story ~ Sweet Montana Bride ~ Book 1 that I won in the Giveaway.

It all started for Reese Taylor that night she was to give up her title at a beauty pageant. The new winner is shot by mistake and Reese goes into witness protection far from her Texas home.

Blake Emerson, Montana rancher has helped with witness protection before and was looking for hands when his uncle called about Reese. He expected a man instead of a beautiful woman. She was to live in a house with him and his three ranch hands and the fun starts.

As they get to know one another he makes a comment about kisses feeling like a bit of heaven. Reese's Cowboy Kiss feels just like heaven. The romance is sweet including a good batch of mud.

The killer is still after Reese and in Montana dressed as a woman when the story turns dangerous. You will just need to read it to find out if the killer gets what he dreams of or does Reese???

I listened to this book, and it was enjoyable. It isn't my usual go-to. Cowboy, witness protection, romantic suspense, closed-door. My house is extra clean this morning as I kept finding things to do to finish the last hour of the book. There's no sex on the page, but it's implied between a married couple. The suspense is pretty low-key until the end. The conflict driving the story until that point is relationship-based. Overall enjoyable. I'm not sure I'll take the time to read more books in the series, mostly because it's not my normal genre.

I really loved the first book I read from this series, Cassie's Cowboy Crave (which also has my favorite cover from this series). The second book, Jade's Cowboy Crush, I enjoyed, but I didn't feel it had as much of the sass and humor as the first one. Then we get to Reese's Cowboy Kiss, which is really the first book in the series just written and released last, and I loved that there was plenty of that sass and humor from these characters as the first book, as well as plenty of sexual tension. Oh boy, was there ever! Cassie's story will remain my favorite of the series, but Reese's comes in next.

The first time Blake meets Reese I was already cracking up. His expectations were blown away. Not in how you might be thinking. He thought Reese would be a boy that could help out on the ranch and she definitely was not a boy. No siree. Then there were these three wild and jovial ranch hands who live in the basement of the ranch house while Reese and Blake live on the main level. The dinners and entertainment with those guys and Reese were great! I loved how the camaraderie always rubbed Blake the wrong way. He didn't want Reese (at least that's what he tells himself), but he doesn't want anyone else to get her either.

Reese was just really sweet, and a Texan gal at that. Blake was hard working and rough and rugged, like he should be. They found themselves in plenty of opportunities to push their relationship forward, but both were a little worried about taking the next step with someone after Reese and no guarantee of how long she'd even be at the ranch. It added some great tension and also some intimate moments of friendship between these too, which I appreciated because they become friends before anything else.

This was a sweet romance. It does get plenty steamy and pushed that clean line for me, but was very entertaining. If you're looking for romance with some suspense and plenty of laughs and sizzle, then you'll definitely like Reese's Cowboy Kiss.

Content: Clean for the genre - being Adult Romance. There are some pretty steamy scenes, and two closed-door scenes with a married couple.

I really liked this one and thought this was a fun series. The author published the books in reverse order, starting with book three Cassie's Cowboy Crave). I admit, when I first read that one I felt like I was missing something. Each book focuses on a different brother and each help hide people in the witness protection program. I think each book could probably stand on its own, but I think they're a lot more enjoyable reading them in order. Now that book one is out and I've finished it, I think I'll go back and read the other two.

Anyway, the book starts with Reese at a party where she is about to give over her pageant crown to the next winner when things go very wrong. A gunmen, who meant to shoot her, shoots the other girl by mistake. He gets away and she goes into hiding at a ranch in Montana. That's where she meets Blake. I liked Blake quite a bit, especially his flirty side. I thought they had fun chemistry and a nice love story. The suspense/mystery aspect is pretty minimal, focusing more on their growing relationship. I did think things jump quickly from declaring themselves to marrying, but I guess it worked for the story.

Overall, I thought this was a lot of fun. I like books like this that remind me of the fun dating times I had with my own hubby. Sometimes its fun to live vicariously through fictional characters. This is a fun series and one I'd recommend.

Kimberly's books remind me a lot the books written by one of my favorite authors Marcia Lynn McClure. There is a lot of passionate kissing and a few mild swear words but otherwise they are clean. The characters are good people with good morals and values and they try to do the right thing. When I'm done reading I have my happily ever after and a smile on my face.

This book is 1st in the series but I read the series backwards because that is they way Kimberly wrote and released them. If you haven't read any of the stories in this series then I recommend you start with this one but they really can be read out of order.

This was a fun story. It had a very similar feel and format as the other books in the series had. Nothing really original especially since I had already read the other two stories but it put a smile on my face. I enjoyed the developing relationship between Reese and Blake. Reese had a lot of spunk to her which made their interactions fun to read.

If you like me enjoy your romance on the clean side with a bit of sizzle then you should take a look at this series.

Rating: 4.5 Stars - Highly recommend

Kimberly Krey does an amazing job at creating a story that is fun and entertaing. Reese's personality takes the cuteness and fun factor for a female MC to a fantastic level. She is down to earth, even though she is a beauty queen. She does an amazing job at rolling with circumstances even though her life changed because of one obsessive man.

The secondary characters are likable. Blake is a man with a strong character. It's fun to see how he fights his attraction to a woman who he has sworn to protect.

Reese is being hidden and protected from a man who tried to kill her. While most of the book he is not present, he is lurking in the background from thoughts and fears. The book holds some suspense, but it mainly focuses on the attraction and romance of Reese and Blake.

This book has some descriptive kissing. :)

I really enjoyed this book. It was a clean book, but it did have a bit of sizzle. The villain in the story was one sick, twisted monster. The suspense at times had me holding my breath.

Blake needed help with his ranch. He agreed to give Reese a safe place to stay and protecting the witness in return for help around the ranch. He was shocked when he arrived at the airport. Reese was not a man at all. She was a drop dead gorgeous pageant queen with no ranch experience at all. The spark of chemistry was there from the start. I really enjoyed the slow build up of the friendship and relationship between Blake, and Reese.

pageant queen would leave some of us thinking Reese would be spoiled. It was not the case at all. I really enjoyed her character in the book. She was humble, helpful, and friendly.
It was a great book over all.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Great Plot-Yes, Romance-Yes, Suspense-Yes, Chemistry-Heck Yeah!! This book had everything that makes a great story. I loved both MCs and although I wanted to smack them both at times, they made such a cute couple. The story had a good pace and the progression of their relationship was realistic and sweet.

The villain was the creepiest, creep I have ever come across. But dang did he make this book a whole lot more interesting. That plot twist at the end was perfection! Perfectly creepy, but perfect nonetheless.

I loved the epilogue and was so happy to see Reese & Blake get their HEA. I will definitely be reading from this author again.

This was great story full of passionate feelings, and murder mystery. I loved the characters and the lovely Montana setting. Blake is so sweet and Reese is such a down to earth person. The last part is kinda scary and I wondered how things would turn out. I loved how in the end she saved herself even though she had big strong men to protect her. Great ending!!!!

This book has everything I could ever want: edge-of-your-seat suspense, clean yet intense romance, and learning to live life despite our fears! It has all of my literary hopes and dreams in one place. What could be better than that!? I’ll tell you what’s even better. This is one immensely talented author who knows how to pull on your heart strings from the very first word. This story wouldn’t be the exquisite masterpiece that it is without her out-of-this-world talent! Please don’t just take my word for it. I beg you to go and experience this unforgettable journey yourself, and then come back and tell me that I am wrong.

Reese was a witness to a horrendous murder. She saw who did it, and now she is running in fear for her life. She needs to find a safe and comforting place where she can try to forget what she saw, get a handle on her emotions, and put her life back into perspective. What she gets is the most inviting and loving family she could ever hope to find, a heart-broken man who is searching for his forever even if he doesn’t know it, and a healthy distraction of being immersed into ranch life. Reese has no idea what she is getting herself into, but at least this time her life is not on the line – only her heart.

Reese couldn’t be any more perfect for the stubborn and lonely Blake. She brings her own brand of southern life and fire that serves to confound and intensify the strange feelings that Blake doesn’t understand and fights at every turn. Her vulnerability and precarious situation allows Blake to get to know her under the pretense of protecting her. What he won’t admit to is the fact that he wants to get to know her for very different reasons. No matter how hard they fight, neither can deny their attraction, but he has to find out how she feels about him before he makes any decisions since it is his heart on the line.

Blake’s family can be very straight-forward and blunt, but they do so in a very loving and purposeful way. They see what Blake and Reece aren’t willing to admit to, and they want these two to be happy knowing about their past and seeing a bright future ahead of them. The simple love and constant caring of this family is beyond any earthly value and is the glue that keeps them happy and together. Like any family they have their disagreements, but in the end, all they want is the best for each other. They long and work to see each of them succeed in business, life, and love. Without this wholeness, there can be no peace and joy.

Kimberly Krey is an outstanding author that I would recommend to everyone who is a lover of clean and true romance. She proves that clean romance can still retain the steam and intensity that make it feel so very real and honest. The beautiful story that she has given to us highlights that some risks are worth taking because their rewards are far greater than we could ever imagine. We can either let fear destroy our life or allow it to spur us on to make desperately needed changes. I hope that you won’t stop living and hoping and loving no matter what life brings your way. Some things are worth fighting for.

Reese held the title of Pearland Rose in her local community but on the night she was to transfer her crown to the new Pearland Rose someone tried to kill her. While in the washroom freshening up before passing over the crown, a stranger comes in and mistakenly shoots the new queen who is also preparing for the event. This is lucky for Reese but not so lucky for the in-coming Rose. Reese is immediately put into the witness protection program and flown to Montana to live on a ranch. Blake is the ranch owner who was told that he was getting someone entering the program named Reese who had ranch experience. He really needed ranch help and was so happy to get a man that could work while living there. What a shock when he picked up Reese from the airport and sees she is not a man as he expected. Also, her only ranch experience was when she helped out at a dude ranch so he had her doing the cooking and helping out around the house instead of working on the ranch.

I loved the characters and the plot. I love stories with people who are in the WITSEC program, so that aspect was very interesting to me. This is a well written romantic suspense that is easy to follow. The surprise events near the end made this book even more exciting.

I loved the way Reese made the best of everything. Her entire life as she knew it had to stop but she didn't let it get her down. She had no idea how to work or live on a ranch but she was smart and a hard worder so she did what she could to help out.

Blake was a good boss and kept the ranch hands in line. Even though he was tough, he was also considerate of them and Reese. On top of it all, Blake was a gorgeous cowboy - perfect. The three ranch hands who lived in the basement of the ranch house were a hoot! It was fun to watch them interact with Reese at dinner and to see Blake's reaction. He didn't like them getting too friendly with Reese even though he didn't want her either. Or so he wanted to believe. Reese and Blake were friends but started to have stronger feeling for each other.

I really enjoyed this romance and recommend Reese's Cowboy Kiss.

Reese’s Cowboy Kisses by Kimberly Krey is the first book in the Sweet Montana Bride Series and it is great beginning.

Reese Taylor is a former Beauty Queen who has a big problem, someone wants her dead. A failed attempt on her life sends her into hiding. She enters witness protection and is sent to Emerson Ranch in Montana. She is in hiding until the authorities can find the person responsible for the attempt on her life.

Blake Emerson agrees to take Reese in, figuring he now will have much needed help with running the ranch. He expects Reese to be a HE, not a former beauty pageant winner. He is shocked and more than a little upset. Not only is he missing the extra help he needs, he has a beautiful young woman that he does not know what to do with. Not only does he have to protect her from the would-be murderer, but also from his ranch hands. And the biggest problem of all, he has to protect himself from losing his heart to her.

I think the characters are what made this book so good. Reese is a spunky, strong-willed woman who has a big heart. She does not like to be ignored and she really does not like to take orders from others, especially from Blake. The two clash quite often and sometimes it is hard to tell who is victorious. I really liked the banter and humor and the way their relationship grows. And I really enjoyed the ranch hands, they seemed very realistic to me. They were fascinated by Reese and greatly enjoyed her friendship.

The writing style flows smoothly and this is an easy read. The suspense starts at the beginning of the book and then really gets building more towards the end. There were enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and turning pages to see what would happen next. There are also many areas of humor interspersed, especially involving the ranch hands and Blake and Reese. I enjoyed that a lot.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a clean romance with suspense mixed in. This is the first book I have read in the series and by this author but it will definitely not be my last. Do yourself a favor and get this book to read, you will not be disappointed.

This book is a romance but also a mystery. Reese Taylor is the reigning Miss Pearland’s Rose. At a barbecue/party to pass her crown over to the new Miss Pearland Rose, a creepy guy asks Reese to dance. Not wanting to be unkind, she reluctantly accepts. Her instincts are all on high alert as she feeling increasingly uncomfortable during the dance. When the music comes to a close, she hurriedly leaves to go to the restroom to freshen her makeup for the final ceremony. When she enters, the bathroom, her successor is refreshing her makeup as well. She is dressed in a gown very similar to the one Reese is wearing. Reese goes into the stall and as she tries to lock the door, a huge explosion shakes the whole room. She glances through the crack to see the creep she danced with earlier standing over the bloody body of the new Miss Pearland’s Rose. The creepy guy disappears and the adventure begins.

Reese is placed in the witness protection program and is flown the next morning to Montana. Blake Emerson, the nephew of a former US Marshall needs ranch hands. When his uncle calls asking if he will agree to protect a witness, Blake thinks Reese must be the answer to his prayers. When he arrives at the airport to find a woman, not the hand he was hoping for, he is sadly disappointed except for the fact that Reese is gorgeous! There are some hot kissing scenes but the author chooses to fade to black in all the right spots to keep this a clean romance. This book is well written and the characters are likable. I loved it!

Reese Taylor is a pageant queen about ready to give up her crown. But instead of handing off her crown, she gets targeted by a psychopath and has to go into a protection program.
I recevied a copy of the ebook free for an honest review which I've given. This review originally appeared on my blog Christy's Cozy Corners.

Reese is not what Blake Emerson is expecting. When his uncle calls and tells him he has someone with ranch experience coming to the ranch for protection, Blake expects a young man. What he gets instead is a beautiful pageant queen....a woman! What is he supposed to do with a woman on a ranch full of cocky young men? He quickly rearranges things and lets the guys know that Reese will be cooking, cleaning and helping out around the house rather than helping with the actual ranching.

The romance in this book is sweet and clean (with much kissing!), and the suspense near the end of the book is very exciting. The main characters in the book are well-written and the secondary characters are good supporting cast members. The story is a quick, cute read.

This is book one chronologically in the Sweet Montana Bride series and the first I've read though they were released in a different order. I'm looking forward to reading Jade's Cowboy Crush and Cassie's Cowboy Crave, the 2nd and 3rd books in the series.

I recommend it to all romance lovers!

I couldn’t put it down. Finished it way to fast. Can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

I really enjoyed this book and love Kimberly Krey's Witness Protection - Rancher Style series. I have been looking forward to this book for many months.

Reese Taylor is a gorgeous Texan pageant winner who finds out an old high school classmate wants her dead. The authorities are sending her into witness protection with the Emerson family on their ranch in Montana.

Blake Emerson agrees to take on the duties of protecting a witness and giving them a job on the ranch. He is desperate for additional ranch hands and is told Reese would fill the bill. When he arrives at the airport to pick up the witness, he is shocked to discover she is of the female persuasion and to top it off she knows nothing about ranching. Blake doesn't have time to baby sit a woman while he has a ranch to run.

This was such a clean, sweet read and those are not so easy to find these days.

I did not give this book a 5-star rating because Blake was so lax in his protection of Reese. He let her do things on her own that I thought were irresponsible on his part.

This book was given to me by the author for an honest review and I am so grateful for her generosity. Thank you Kimberly!! I am watching for more of your books!

Reese's Cowboy Kiss by Kimberly Krey is another delightful outing from Ms. Krey. I read the other two books in this series and they all are exceptional. All have the premise of hiding an individual in the witness protection program. This one is no different. Reese is a local Texan town's beauty queen. On the night she is to relinguish her crown, a stranger is watching her all evening. On the next to the last dance he asks Reese for a dance. She feels fearful of him.She discovers she knows him from grade school. After the dance she rushes away and heads toward the ladies room to freshen up her makeup. The new queen is in there getting ready. Reese enters the stall and locks it when the stranger bursts into the room and shoots the new queen. She sees the shooter and screams. Reese is whisked away to a plane to Montana. Blake gets told there is someone entering the program named Reese and that they have ranch experience. He needs more ranch hands. He is shocked to discover he is a she. As for ranch experience she cooked and did laundrey on a ranch. There is something intriguing about her. Reese and Blake fall in love. They get married and the protection slips. Will they be happily ever after or does the killer, Turnbro have other intentions.

Reese Taylor, a pageant winner, witnessed a brutal crime & has been placed in the witness protection program. Blake Emerson & his family have housed several witnesses on their ranch. Looking forward to having an additional hand to help around the ranch, Blake was shocked to find Reese at the airport. Blake finds himself not only worrying about protecting Reese from the creepy man targeting her, but his three ranch hands & himself!
A fun "dessert" read with a little suspense at the end!
I liked the romantic tension between Reese and Blake--which started when they first set eyes on each other at the airport. The three ranch hands were hilarious. The cat calls, teasing & blatant flirting added a layer of fun to the story. There were times that Reese acted 16 instead of the 23 she was, but doesn't everyone have moments like that?
The romance got pretty steamy, but stayed clean. I love that the author was able to show how passionate they were without throwing in sex scenes. Great make-out sessions, yep--but she closed the door when it went any further! (A lot like Marcia Lynn McClure) I was also impressed that the language was kept clean.
language: clean, heat level: mildly warm

As a devoted fan of clean romances I was pleased to discover Kimberly Krey as an author in the genre. Reese’s Cowboy Kiss was my first venture into Ms. Krey’s offerings. When I saw that 59% of Amazon reviewers gave her a 5 star rating I was confident of a first class read. Overall this was a good experience, but I find it hard to fall in line with the exuberant 5 star reviewers. I did not find the depth in either the characters or in the story line to meet my personal standards of a 5 star story. I found the diabolic villain to be over the top in his desire to get physically inside Reese’s brain and body. It was a real stretch to believe how he came to learn of Reese’s new safe home in the witness protection program. The scene where Blake confronts the local police about entering the store where he suspects Reese is in harm’s way was complete unrealistic. There is no way a policeman would allow Blake to enter the building unaccompanied under those circumstances. But then, one of the most dramatic scenes in the novel could not have occurred had police accompanied Blake. Additionally, I found that much of the mid-section of the book a bit of a drag with too much predictability. On balance, this was a cute story with a lot of flaws.

LOVED IT!!

I loved this book! It's an exciting romance suspense story. Reese is ready to pass
her crown, to the new Miss Pearland Rose,
when something terrible happens. She is
sent to Montana, till the suspect is caught.
Blake arrived at the airport, to pick up the witness, who they are going to protect.
While there, he will work as a ranch hand.
Except it"s a woman. A very beautiful woman.
I really enjoyed reading this story!
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!!
