“I loved these stories that I could read on my bus journey to work and arrive in a good mood. I recognised myself in a lot of them, and giggled at the predicaments the characters faced. I found myself nodding at the end of the stories, acknowledging the life lesson described in such a heart-warming way. I highly recommend this entertaining collection.”—Sandy Salisbury
Stefania Hartley, best known as The Sicilian Mama, was born in Sicily and immediately started growing, but not very much.
She left her sunny island after falling head over heels in love with an Englishman, and now she lives in the UK with him and their three children.
Having finally learnt English, she’s enjoying it so much that she now writes short stories and romance novels.
Her short stories have been longlisted, commended and won prizes, and are regularly published by The People’s Friend magazine. In July 2020 her debut romance, Sun, Stars and Limoncello, will be published by Totally Bound.

I like a long book with an intricate story line... sometimes. But when I need a change, this author provides exactly the right book. The stories are short without a lot of drama; there are a few surprise endings. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a real mix of stories. My favourite was Pass the Parcel, I thought I'd guessed the ending but what actually happened was even better! Something for everyone! Enjoy.
I always enjoy Stefania's story telling. This is a delightful set of original short stories, which made me smile. Story nine would make a great novel. A lovely way to spend a winter afternoon.
