Sloan is an elite race car driver, but he’s a little different than the rest. His Porsche isn’t just a car, it’s his best friend.
As an object shifter, Nash couldn’t wait to see what his form would be. But when he shifted into a sports car at 19, he never imagined he’d be unable to shift back.
The two have been a team for nearly a decade, and this year is their best shot at winning it all. But when things go awry and a cute mechanic named Charlie stumbles into their lives, they discover there may be more to life than just racing.
Will Charlie put aside her fears and embrace her burgeoning feelings for Sloan and Nash? Will the two men choose each other over winning? Or will it all fall apart before the finish line?
Giving up one form would be like giving up part of who I am. I know because I did it for ten years. For a decade, I was only half me. I don’t want that again. I’m going to have both. Sloan’s hands on my wheel and his mouth on my lips. Charlie under my hood and me under her skirts.

Oh my, I expected the spice to be spicing, but it ended up BURNING *fans self*
I am not an avid reader of sentient object books so a car shifter one definitely made me raise a brow, but you know what? I enjoyed it.
Stuck in his Porsche form for the past 10 years, Nash had missed on a lot of life experiences. But with his best friend Sloan by his side, and inside, on the racetrack, it wasn’t such a bad life. They just need to win the Cummin’s Cup to make it even sweeter. Until sassy mechanic Charlie took a look under his hood and along with Sloan, ended heating up his engine in more ways than one.
The characters of Nash, Sloan and Charlie were nicely fleshed out and the small touch of racing drama served well to wrap up everything. And that last scene with the Cup? SOMEONE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT 🥵
Life is a Cummin's Cup track and I wanna drive Nash ALLLLL night long. This novella will have your tires burning (and your panties too.) Nash and Sloan are delicious and Charlie is such a fierce and funny FMC. I absolutely loved this one and dare I say it's the best car shifter story everrrr. All the feels and vibes, you will be crying from your eyes. (Did I mention the wet thighs? No? Ok go grab some extra panties now then.) Clover, Thea and Kate nailed this! That trophy scene though *chefs kiss*
Friends!! If you're only gonna read one sentient object romance in your entire life, let it be this one! It was SO GOOD!! I devoured it and had to force myself not to read all night long because: adulting and parenting; but otherwise, I'd have read it in one go!
You got a racing team made of two best friends and object shifters, but one has been stuck as a car for the past decade. Each of them has been harvesting feelings for the other, and there's a lot of longing and pining, made even worse by the fact that they can't communicate. Enters one spitfire mechanic who's gonna flip their world upside down. She's a human, and the whole object shifter thingy should be making her run for the hill, but she takes it all in stride and is going to be pivotal for the guys to get their happy ending.
I loved Charlie, Sloan and Nash so much! I liked their relationship and seeing how their different temperaments matched one another. The whole story flowed easily and it read very fast. The spice was great, I liked how they incorporated Nash even when he was stuck as a car (cue oil spill 🤭)
It was simply great and I would recommend it whether you usually read sentient object romance or not (trust me, give it a go). It's a MMF racing romance with friends-to-lovers, bi awakening, inexperienced MMC, pining, and spice.
*I have received an advanced reader copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review*
I am so happy with this story, oh my God! I love how fiery Charlie is, and Sloan is positively adorable; AND NASH ❤️ if this is how the guy from My Strange Addiction (IYKYK) feels, maybe I understand him a little better now 😂
There aren't nearly enough racing books out there, and this one made my heart happy. While it was a bit of a mish mash of a few circuits, it's nowhere near egregious enough to be offended by. It made the story more interesting, I think, and gave the authors more freedom to write these characters in a racing setting.
I would love a follow-up to this! I'm so curious if Charlie starts racing, maybe under the same team owner as Sloan?, if she signs on as Sloan and Nash's mechanic, etc. And, of course, I wouldn't say no to more Charlie/Nash/Sloan slashy goodness!
I adore sentient object romances, and this one was a breath of fresh air. I love the shifter world that the authors built and the idea that people who are shifters don't know what they'll turn into until they hit 19. I'm going to need a whole series exploring different couples and random object shifters! And Nash getting stuck was also a really great twist to the genre!
Zero to 69 is very happily going on my list of favourite sentient object romances!
This book was just a fun, cozy, loving read! It was full of friendship that never gave up no matter the circumstances, GIRL POWER!, and to me a touch of fated mates even though I don’t think that was a trope!
I loved all the MC for different reasons but that dominance AND vulnerability in Sloan….SWOON!!!!
Thank you for trusting me with an arc of this amazing story 🥰
I might be a fan of racing, who knew? At least the way these three authors write it. Where can I find a car shifter to give me a ride I'll never forget? Zero to 69 is such a fun addition to the sentient object genre. What would you do if your best friend shifted into a race car and couldn't or wouldn't shift back? Drive him of course and maybe eventually find a hot mechanic that might be able to check under his hood. These throuple was so perfect together and the spice was on fire which is absolutely expected with these three authors working together. Now I'm just trying to figure out who wrote which POV?
omg yall. This ARC was amazing. When Thea made a video saying she collaborated with Kate Mcdarris and Clover Holloway I was so confused. I was 100% sure I hadn't read it and I looked but found it didn't exist. It made me realize how good that book would be if it did exist. and then two days later they announced zero to 69 and oml. My dreams came true. My favorite authors collabing on a book together?? and it's a racing book, my secret guilty pleasure?! Pure heaven. Nash is an object shifter. When he shifted into his dream sports car at 19 he never expected to be unable to turn back. The only one to stick by him was his best friend Sloan who became his driver for the next decade, planning to head to get to the big leagues of racing together. That's when Charlie the mechanic shows up and uproots their world they realize they must decide what really matters to them, racing or each other? This made me melt. Seriously. My heart just ached for them. Poor Sloan just wants his best friend back and Nash can't get back. Not to mention they're starting to realize how much they love each other. Good lord. While Nash and Sloan were loving jokesters who flirted and laughed, Charlie was such a badass. She took no shit and I loved how she could be sweet and caring but also tell you when you're being a prick. Absolute queen. This was also very emotional as you can tell and I sobbed many times. It will never fail to amaze me how these women create characters that so easily wiggle their way into my heart and soul. Also let's not forget about the spiceee. Lord. It had me blushing. They had such good chemistry and you could feel the love. This was just so cute. and I loved how it ended. I thought Thea pulled another fast one but I was happy with how we got the best of both worlds. I couldn't have asked for better🥹
WOW 🔥 This is now one of my favorite inanimate object shifter romances! Thea, Kate & Clover packed so much yumminess into this book and I was hooked from the beginning. I had A LOT of fun reading this book. Don’t let the length fool you, the authors gave us an intriguing plot, characters to love (and one to hate), emotions, spice and much more. It was a unique take on the inanimate object world, I liked how the shifters turn into the object they do. I really loved the relationship development between Sloan, Nash and Charlie. Sloan and Nash have history and Charlie enters their dynamic but they all clearly belonged together. It was refreshing to see the relationship progress quicker between Sloan and Nash while Charlie didn’t jump straight into the love stage - I really liked her setting her own pace with the guys and not feeling pressured or intimidated by their love. The spice was HOT. That image at the end 👀
Thank you so much to the authors for the ARC! This will definitely be one I reread in the future.
All Nash ever wanted was to race. As an object shifter getting stuck in his other form for ten years was certainly not what he thought would happen. At least his best friend/driver has always been by his side. But lately Nash started to wish for more....will he ever be able to shift back? This book is the cutest!! Charlie and Sloan are always making sure to include Nash in their shenanigans as good as they're able to with him being a car. Who knew cars can be this adorable 🥰. I loved their dynamic in all forms, shifted or not 🔥. It's a short book but there are so many feelings in there. It's incredibly well done. If you're looking for a fluffy, sweet and insanely hot novella you should pick up "Zero to 69" asap!!
A shifter car romance! Clover Holloway, Kate McDarris, and Thea Masen! Yes, sign me up right now! I must say, wow, I’m speechless—it’s addictive. So much spice, and these three characters are perfect together. This novella will leave you dripping wet and definitely revved up. You don’t just have one shifter—you have two entirely at your service. One transforms into a Porsche, and the other into a Rubik’s Cube. What more could you ask for? This story has everything to keep you entertained for a long time! If this dream team keeps writing, I’ll be a loyal reader of their books. If this book isn’t on your TBR yet, I don’t know what you’re waiting for—add it now!
I don't know why I am still surprised that these three made a relationship with a car not only sexy as hell but also sweet. I guess I should accept it as a given.
All three have their little imperfections, but together they are near perfect. I am happy Nash didn't let go entirely of his car form. Like he said - it's a part of him.
The only criticism I have is that Nash seemed to be more emotionally included when he was still a car. But tbf that's just nitpicking and totally subjective.
I would definitely recommend it!

4 stars! 🌟 This was so good!! It was such a fun book to read, the oil spill had me 😂 The chemistry between Sloan, Nash and Charlie was off the charts! It was hot AF but also heartwarming, when Nash shifts back for the first time was seriously my favorite part 🫠 although I loved everything that happened in this book! I wish I could keep reading about these three! Thank you so much for sending me this ARC!!

Had you ever seen that show STRANGE OBSESSION on TLC and the guy in love with his red car 🚗, okay now picture that car being a Porsche 🚘 he’s a sentient shifter who has been stuck in his object for the past ten years with his best friend has his driver and now add 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and a hot mechanic to the mix and you have the SUPERSTAR 🌟 that is ZERO TO 6️⃣9️⃣.

But they soon found themselves pumping each other over Nash’s hood which causes a giant oil spill💦💦💦.
Together these three are firing 🔥🔥🔥 on all cylinders. This read is a great read and Thea together with Holloway and McDarris takes us all to the finish line 🏎️🏎️🏎️.
Whew 🤭 this novella was a fun spicy read! We meet Nash who is a shifter that got stuck in his form and hasn’t been able to shift back. His best friend Sloan has been with him for years, never giving up on his friend potentially shifting back. Their connection is amazing and you can really feel their love for one another. Showing signs of communication, Sloan seeks out Charlie a very good mechanic to see if she could help Nash out and well this catapults them onto a spicy adventure.
Clover Holloway, Thea Masen and Kate Mcdarris?? They was an absolute dream team! This was actually so good and so addictive! Nash, Sloan and Charlie was so hot together they practically melted my kindle. I loved their story and wish I could read about them more! I'm no car lover but I do love me a red porsche now!
My author friends this sweet spicy shifter romance was awesome!!
Nash shifts at 19 and gets stuck in his shifter form unable to shift back. His bestie Sloan refuses to leave him instead following their childhood dreams of racing together. When they meet the hottie; new mechanic Charlie all of a sudden Nash starts behaving differently. Is he finally able to come back to Sloan? And how will Charlie fit into their duo?
This was a great polyamerous sentinal object romance. You really get a feel for Sloan, Nash and Charlie's feelings and the characters have background and depth that makes you care about them. There's plenty of spice which is hot but also plenty of plot which keeps you reading. A great collaboration.
Get ready for a full tank of puns and EXTRA steamy exhaust!
I love nothing more than MM, best friends to lovers, and MMF with swords crossed—and all three of these authors put their brains together to deliver more than I could’ve wished for!!! Charlie (FMC) is the perfect feisty addition to Sloan and Nash’s *celebrations*. Who knew a car shifter romance could make you spill oil too
ARC REVIEW Ready, set, go.... get new panties. Holy moly guacamole, this book had me feeling some sorta way down under if you know what I mean. • Nash, Charlie, and Sloan will NOT disappoint you. • You know who else won't disappoint you? @katemcdarris @cloverhollowayauthor @author_thea_masen
Grab an extra pair of panties while you read this book(you WILL need them). Clover, Thea, and Kate nailed this from start to finish. The banter between the FMC and the MMCs was muah, *chefs kiss*. SPEAKING of *chefs kiss* the trophy scene? IYKYK. The bi-awakening in this book, had my little bi heart so freakin happy literally had tears in my eyes).
"The sexual tension in the air went from zero to sixty-nine in a heartbeat."
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Listen I've never been interested in racing or cars, but after reading this book I might think differently 😂 Zero to 69 is a MMF romance with plenty of MF spice on top of and against our sentient car friend until he's able to participate in human form. This was so much fun and such a sweet story! I loved the MMCs friendship growing into longing and love. Adding in the FMC was definitely great for the group dynamic and I loved how much of a spitfire she was!
Zero to 69 by Clover Holloway and Thea Masen and Kate McDarris. This is a fun novella where we have a sentient object, a race car. This is the second book in this shared world that I have read - loved it. It's fun, different, and smexy. So good.
I think I'm in love with a car? This book had so much going on. Obviously hot, but also sweet. I loved seeing all the relationships grow throughout the book.
I love this. It was SO FUN. I couldn’t put it down. From the plot to all the emotions to the spice, Zero to 69 was incredible. The puns in here were 👩🍳💋 (perfection).
So...Sloan and his best friend, Nash, are shifters who become objects. At 19 Sloan shifted into a rubik's cube and back, but when Nash finally shifts he becomes a car, specifically a porsche, but he cannot shift back. When Sloan begins to think that Nash is trying to communicate with him, he enlists the help of his rivals beautiful and uber competent mechanic, Charlie, to attempt to coax Nash into shifting. Sexy shenanigans ensue. This book is a fun take on sentient object romance, with a side of bisexual awakening. And racing, if you are into that.
It's exactly what it says it is. I mean, if you are looking at a car shifter book, you should know what type of story you're getting yourself into. Lots of heart and a whole lot of smut for such a short book!
Thanks to the authors for an eARC of this book for an honest review.
The dynamic between Sloan, Nash, and Charlie is perfection! Even while Nash is stuck in his shifter form, Sloan and Charlie continue to include him in their fast and furious relationship development. I loved the way Sloan helps Nash learn how to take care of Charlie in all the best ways. There is plenty of emotion packed into this story and I’ll always be cheering for this trio!
Fans of shifter/sentient object romance, you won’t want to miss this story!
