Really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of this book. I never would have picked up a troubled-teen/bullying book if I had known specifically that's what this was about but I wound up liking it more than I thought I would. I didn't really care about "who did it" as much as I wanted to know what happened to Amelia. I really felt for Amelia's character and I liked her a lot. It made me really sad to see how teens can be so alienated without their parents even realizing it. I did really feel like it was eye opening.
I don't know how to rate this book. I couldn't put it down, especially at the end because I couldn't wait to see how it ended. On the other hand, it kind of drags on and was just so unbelievable at times.
There's a time when a book begins so promisingly, and then lurches to a painful ending. The sheer weight of all the revelations in the end just sunk me
This should really be a teen book. People who like young adult books will like this book, but I was highly disappointed in it. It also tells you that it is like Gone Girl and it is not.
I really liked this book. I thought the author did a great job at keeping you guessing and leaving just enough clues to start putting the pieces of the puzzle together, but at the same time throwing in surprises when you thought you had it all figured out.
Great writing. Tightly written story. I love how it incorporated social media and cyber bullying throughout the text. I've always wanted to write a story that incorporated Facebook, texts and chat rooms. This book does it seamlessly. Great characters. Excellent plot.
As a working parent, it is hard to look at this book and not fear the what ifs from the parent's perspective. this work managed to get all the horribleness of adolescence and put it together. while I figured out the ending early on I admit to have been thrown off the scent @ 75% and started blaming even the doorman that was mentioned once. I could have done without the first 25%.. it was a bit YA.. until the stuff hit the fan. Anyhow, good work and hard subject. I would have liked to see the legal aftermath.
