This is an excellent resource book for anyone interested in training, equipping and deploying laity for pastoral care ministry. One large drawback to the book is the absence of any sacramental theology. The material covered does not include any emphasis on bringing Eucharist to shut-in members of the parish.
A good framework book from which I've worked to write a more contextually appropriate training program to cover twelve weeks and include the sacramental theology for which the Episcopal Church is known.
