From the Old Testament to the New World Order, the centuries have not always championed homosexuality. But the past has also been checkered with surprising liberal periods. From ancient Rome to gay pride, here is a time capsule of gay history, presented in quick, short takes. Strange, fascinating, and historically revealing!
"Homo History" contained lots of interesting information. It was written very colloquially and was easy to read. The writer's voice came through clearly. However, I did not find a fair number or phrases or certain thoughts necessarily apropos. Certain words, phrases, and ideas- in my opinion- could have been approached in a more politically correct manner. For example, the word "transgendered" was used, but "transgender" should have been used instead. In sum, "Homo History" touched on a lot of different things and was a good overview, but should be read with a grain of salt.
I could swear I reviewed this as being kind of shallow and not that great a treatment of the subject. Well, perhaps that was on my LiveJournal rather than here.
