Souls of the Knight #1

Being Sawyer Knight

Rate this book
As lead singer and guitarist of the internationally renowned Souls of the Knight, Sawyer Knight is living a life most men can only dream of. He’s surrounded by music, fame, wealth, women throwing themselves at his feet. He has everything…

Yet he has nothing.

Life as one of the world’s most sought after rock stars is tiring, oppressive and lonely. He spends every day being who the world wants him to be, who his manager tells him to be, who his mother expects him to be… all the while fighting against who he really is. Truth is, he’s used to it. He’s actually gotten pretty good at pretending… at living the lie.

Until Jake Reed, his ex-best friend and the only person who’s ever made him ‘feel’, waltzes back into his life as the band’s new head of security. Jake wants Sawyer – always has, always will. Now, he just needs to get Sawyer to admit that he feels the same…

“You will be mine, Sawyer Knight. The faster you try to run the quicker you’ll fall to your knees. Then, Sawyer… then you’ll be too weak to resist.”

Sawyer Knight and Jake Reed were best friends growing up in the UK, until Jake’s family moved to Australia when the boys were 17. Before Jake leaves he confesses his undying love for Sawyer and smacks him with a passionate kiss. Sawyer, although surprised, responds with equal fervor, before immediately succumbing to shock and denial. He runs from Jake, telling him he never wants to see or hear from him again.

Over-dramatic response? Yes.

Understandable reaction? Perhaps.

Poor Sawyer was taken by surprise and, up until that point, had never questioned his sexuality or his feelings for his best friend, so he acts irrationally and it costs him dearly.

Ten years later, Sawyer is the front man of an extremely successful band - Souls of the Knight. The persona he’s conveyed to the world is one of a talented and confident musician, who gets all the girls and is living the high life. Truthfully, Sawyer is a moody, despondent and lonely, sleeping with women he cares nothing for.

Unbeknownst to the band, death threats are being made by some anonymous psycho, so management brings in a brand spanking new head of security, all the way from Australia, to look after the boys safety.

Enter an older, wiser and hotter Jake: professional security expert.

Sawyer is shocked and apprehensive to have his ex-best friend back in his life, bringing old and suppressed feeling bubbling back to the surface. It doesn’t help that Jake immediately informs Sawyer that he will be his. Arrogance runs rampant here, but Jake makes it all strangely appealing and less creepy than it sounds.

The two proceed to play a hot game of cat and mouse, with Jake making (insta) love declarations and Sawyer (poorly) denying his mutual attraction. These two together were smoking hot! And the emotional side of things, although quite corny and fast in its development, was thoroughly entertaining and engaging.

So, although this story was fairly cheesy and predictable, I found it strangely addictive. I’m rating solely on my enjoyment level here – which was high!

Off to the next one!!

I started this series a few years ago with book 3, which I loved. It's something I do often.....reading the most interesting book in a series (usually it's the last one) and forgetting about the rest :P

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor big bang theory gif

Anyways...the other two books were still on my TBR list and I figured now was the time to finally read them !!

Gerelateerde afbeelding

I am glad that I did, because both were very enjoyable, though I must say, that book 3 still remains my favorite....and how can it not...it's about Matt the Twat :P

This one is about Sawyer and Jake, who used to be the best of friends when they were 17. Unfortunately, Jake's father landed a new job in Australie no less, which means that Jake will be moving far far away. But he can't just leave without showing Sawyer exactly how he feels about him....so he does...show him that is, with a very hot and steamy kiss...

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor boys kissing boys gif

This confuses the shit out of Sawyer because he is straight and he never thought of Jake that way.....so why is his body responding the way it is ???

Fast forward 10 years and these two are about the come face to face again. Sawyer is now a part of the very famous band "Souls of Knight" and his security detail is about to change ...hehehe :P

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor eyebrows up and down gif

Jake has never forgotten about Sawyer and he is pretty determined to finally make the man his.

This is were the book lost some stars for me. It all went so fast. They haven't seen each other for ten years and the last time they were together, Sawyer told Jake he never wanted to see him anymore and he regretted their friendship.

Still, the moment they reunite  Jake is on Sawyer like flies on shit, and Sawyer is not putting up much of a fight....

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor flies on shit gif

It bothered me a bit that things moved so freaking fast.

The only thing that's standing in their way is the fact that Sawyer is too scared to come out.... He fears his friends will judge him and his carreer will be over if they all find out.

So they fool around in secret with Sawyer freaking out everytime they are close to being found out. Then when he finally does find the courage to stand up for himself and he comes out to all his friends and the rest of the world..... he decides to quit the band !!! ???

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor are you for real gif

All this time he has been hiding who he is and who he loves,  because he was afraid his career would end and no one would understand and the moment he comes out to the world...he also quits that precious career..... This actually pissed me off a bit...as you ca probably tell ;)

Anyways, besides the insta love and the this little part that made no sense to me, I did really enjoy this book and I do recommend this series. I really love Matt and I think anyone should read this series just to get to his book :P

In this corner, you have Sawyer Knight.

No way is he a gay Rockstar. So what if 10 years ago he liked it when his best friend kissed him before he moved away. So what if he experimented in college and liked it. So what that in the 10 years since his best friend left, he hasn't been able to stop thinking about him. He's fucked hundreds of woman! No way was he gay. And even if he might be, he can't tell anyone. What would the world think?

On the opposite side, Jake Reed.

Alpha. Openly gay man. Newly hired head of security for Sawyer and his band. Said best friend that kissed Sawyer before moving away. Man on a mission. He will have Sawyer. He will change his mind. He will get what he wants.

As much as I was frustrated by Sawyer and his fear of being found out and what it would do to his career, I'm glad that he quickly realized he couldn't hide anything from Jake. Jake saw right thru him, and called him out on all of his shit. Jake made sure not to push too much, and did a great job of giving Sawyer the reassurances that he needed.

I felt the tension of how hard it was for Sawyer to hide his true feelings for Jake in public. The urge to glance over. The itch to touch. He constantly had to shield his emotions and constrain his natural urges. And then when they would finally, privately, get together....it was as though you could finally breathe.

I really liked Sawyer's relationship with Elle and even his quick bond with Ryder. The rest of the band and Claire, rounded out a good cast of side characters. I even found myself laughing out loud at crude and rude Matt the Twat.

The steam factor was, I'd say a medium. But well-paced and put in the perfect parts of the story. Jake and Sawyer definitely didn't disappoint in the panty melting department (though I wouldn't dare complain if more was added).

The "mystery" or "suspense" portion of the story gets a big fat eye roll from me and I didn't think it was necessary, but I'm willing to overlook since without the mystery there was no reason for Jake to be hired for security. And the big reveal at the end was a bit cliche.

The main reason the book didn't reach 4 stars was due to grammatical errors. They are sprinkled all over the place. Even a couple of instances where the wrong name was used. I can usually overlook this, but unfortunately there were too many. Too often I found myself having to reread sentences.

And there you have it.

I really don't know what i was thinking when i picked this book?? Well who am i kidding I know what i was thinking, i was thinking that it will be as good as Nicola Haken's Broken, because believe me that book was a Gem. But i was so very wrong.

This book was nothing like Broken, it was I don't know what the hell it was. I was bored just by reading 25% of this book. And i don't even care what the hell happened to Sawyer or another MC whose name i don't even remember. That's how much this book was a bummer for me.

If your trying to read a good MM romance with some sexy time and a good plot with character development, this book is so not for you. Steer Clear from this book. Its not worth your time.

Loved Being Sawyer Knight. A great m/m romance with a perfect mix of steam, emotion and suspense. The relationship between Sawyer and Jake is HOT, Jake is bossy but sweet and poor Sawyer is struggling with his sexuality but together they can deal with whatever life throws at them.

The story is told from both POV's which I enjoyed. I like the rest of the gang I even liked Matt by the end of the story.

Would recommend to anyone who likes a good m/m read.

I normally dislike books about rock stars/people in a band/musicians/famous people. I just don’t understand why people would want to live that way. Their lives are dictated by a PR person and they have to keep up appearances at all times.

description

But I liked this. And even though keeping up appearances played a big role in this book, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. These guys were not bullied by their record company and mostly decided for themselves what to do with their lives.

Yes, PR was important here and Sawyer was extremely worried about coming out, but he was never forced by anyone to stay in the closet. He did that all on his own.

description

I loved how patient Jake was and how determined he was to make Sawyer his. I also loved that Jake didn’t accept Sawyer pulling away from him.

”It’s okay to be unsure, to feel scared… but promise me when it feels like it’s getting too much, you’ll come to me – even if it’s me that’s causing you to feel like this.”

It was even less angsty than I expected. Yes, Sawyer has a lot of insecurities, and there was a bit of a push and pull at the start, but that ended rather quickly when Sawyer came to his senses and saw Jake was it for him.

“I can’t stop thinking about you. I can’t stop wanting you, needing to touch you. You need to know I really care about you, Jake. I don’t know if that’s what love is, but I know I will never intentionally hurt you. I don’t ever plan to push you away again, but I also can’t promise I won’t. You’re the only person in the world who knows me absolutely. My whole life is an act, and I can be myself with you. “

These guys have a loving, sweet relationship, despite the fact that Sawyer doesn’t want people to know about them. Sawyer tried to push Jake away, but Jake just didn’t let him.

This one didn't work so well for me. Sawyer Knight was a bit of a diva and too close to being chick-with-a-dick. I wanted to like Jake but, frankly, he came off as a little stalkerish and too pushy. I maybe could've bought his approach (i.e., an immediate full-court press that bordered on sex harassment) if the previous incident didn't happen when they were teens and their time apart had been 1 year instead of 10. There is a shit load of growing up that takes place between 18 and 28 (hopefully). We're usually talking some major life experiences! So, it was completely unrealistic for Jake to come in as hard-core bent on turning the "straight" Sawyer. After 10 years of no-contact and given Sawyer's reputation with the ladies? Nu-uh. I'm not saying it was impossible; I simply couldn't believe Jake's absolute confidence arrogance and unwavering persistence. Not once did he question himself. Not once. What.The.Fuck.Ever.

Sawyer, on the other hand, kinda irked me. He was aloof and conflicted but irritatingly so. He didn't kick Jake's ass to the curb at the first, second, or even third inappropriate remark or assaultive behavior. Instead, Sawyer prevaricated and snapped and threw tantrums. Ugh. So. Not. Attractive.

Sadly, a note about the editing ... or lack thereof. This book had a lot of errors. Generally, I try to roll with it and I don't expect a book to be perfect. But when the typos and grammatical errors are so prevalent as to be distracting, it's downright sloppy. This book fell into that category. If I'm paying for it, I expect more. Period. And, the shameless overuse of CAPITALIZATION? Hated it. I don't like when people yell at me.

On a positive note: the sexy smexy scenes were extra steamy. Yum! One star for that. :)

Bottom line: This story had promise but it didn't deliver. 1.5 stars + 1.0 star for the sexy smexy scenes.

This book started off promising enough when 17-year Jake confesses his love and kisses his best friend, Sawyer. Sawyer, in great denial, turns his back on Jake. They don't speak again for 10 years.

Fast forward to the present, and Jake is hired as Sawyer's head of security. Jake is pushy and immediately insists that Sawyer will be his. Sawyer is indecisive and a bit mean I struggled to like them both. (I also found Matt pretty revolting, and Elle's and Sawyer's nicknames for each other -- "gorgeous girl" and "muscle man" -- also did not work for me.)

I usually don't like a lot of flashbacks, but this book could have used them. I got nothing on what the foundation of this relationship was built on. I was told there was this great love and attraction. I did not feel it between these two.

They just seemed to be speaking dialogue. Jake and Sawyer said all the right pretty words, but no real emotion is between them. One minute, Sawyer says he's not gay, and the next he's in Jake's bed and claims to be in love too.

If no flashbacks, it would have been nice if the MCs reminisced about growing up together and/or if they spent some quality time out of bed getting to know each other again (they don't even discuss in-depth their thoughts and feelings about that pivotal moment that changed their friendship forever). Instead, we're given an obsessed fan/stalker subplot with a predictable outcome. It's apparent who the culprit is almost as soon as Jake signs on for body guard duty.

At the 70 percent mark, Jake says to Sawyer that he'd learned the "real" Sawyer was timid, shy and romantic. I wish I could have gotten to know that Sawyer too.

I haven't read much of it. Can't deal with this book anymore. The romance is problematic. The characters are irritating. And that "one scene" ruined every single good feature this book had.

Never thought I would give a Nicola Haken book one star but look, here I am...... Very disappointed.

I really love this book. I am not even sure why. It's not the best of the best but reading it is so easy and enjoyable, so funny too. Just the things Matt says are worth reading, he is hilarious albeit a punk!

Sawyer and Jake are soooo sexy together, the way Jake sometimes went caveman was oh so delicious! But when Sawyer finally accepted himself and his desires there was no stopping him! It was lovely to watch him come out of his shell. I would call him a little selfish but then coming out as a rock star can not be easy so I will not judge harshly. But Jake had the patience of a saint, that's for sure.

The intrigue was not particularly new but I like how it was developed and written. It was fast paced, no time to get bored and lots of friends and fun times. The way the life of the band was told made it seem like the life of a star is not all it's cracked up to be. How lonely it sometimes can be and that everything is for show and you can lose yourself just a little everyday to satisfy your fans. That was when I got sad for Sawyer! Bummer!

But otherwise a very enjoyable and fun read! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love rocker stories, so I was so happy to see a new book!

Happy didn't last long :(

For me, I had no connection with Jake and Sawyer. We never got to know them...they alluded to "knowing each other better than anyone", but we never saw any of that. We only saw tension and then dramatic switch to true love. I needed more substance in understanding them and their relationship (which was in the past and we don't really get very much information about). I did see snapshots of what I wanted, but needed more!

There will be a next book, but not sure if I should give it a try when it comes out. I'm on the fence!

4 Sawyer Stars!

Being Sawyer Knight is a fun yet addictive read about two life-long friends finding love in each other. Without giving very much away, I will just say that both of these men have always known who they are. It's just that one of them was ready to admit it, and the other...wasn't.

Sawyer is a huge rock star, front and center in the public eye. He also comes from a very overly religious and judgmental, close-minded background where he has always had to ignore a lot of truths about himself. He figures that maybe if he screws enough women, maybe he'll circle back around to straight again...little does he know, it doesn't quite work that way...

"How could this feel so right, so natural, when the back of my mind wouldn't quit screaming at me that it was wrong?" ~ Sawyer

 photo BSKTeaser1_zpsab737c32.jpg

I really enjoyed this book and thought it was really good, especially for Nicola being a very new author. It's emotional, hot, and sexy, but also comes back to love, friendship, and acceptance.

Jake and Sawyer grew up being best friends. Sawyer considers Jake to be the only person that has ever really known him. But it's been ten years since their last controversial encounter, and Sawyer is still just as riled up as he was right after it happened. When his new head of security ends up being that very same childhood best friend, things get interesting and HOT between these two.

 photo a3dc63f0-1ada-4f61-a75c-46406e4efeee_zps89a6eaf5.jpg

The book is told in dual POVs so you get into Jake's mind and struggles as well. I love that he exuded this strong and cocky ass body guard for Sawyer, but in the inside, he was melting.

This book didn't quite hit my 5 star mark. There were a few things that were kind of bothersome, and a few elements of the story were kind of predictable. However, I showed up for some hot alpha male on male love, passion, and gut-wrenching emotion, and check! I got it! So Nessa is a happy camper overall!! ;) I really enjoyed it and was very happy to see that there will be more books in this series for Ryder....AND Brian, who was my fave secondary character. Ahhh, I always wanna see the prototypical manwhore fall flat on his face, in love. LOL!!

 photo Picture1_zpsbd9763a2.jpg

"When I was with Jake, I was no longer famous. I wasn't a star. I was just a man. A man who was possibly falling in love... and it was the most exhilarating, terrifying feeling in the world." ~ Sawyer

I received an ARC for this book in part of its blog tour in exchange for an honest review.

WOW and WOW again! I'd advise on stocking up on tissues and spare panties before opening this book!

This is a refreshing addition to the MM romance genre and features one hot rockstar, Sawyer Knight, lead singer of Souls of the Knight and the man everyone seems to want to be a part of. He should be happy with his lot in life and on the face of things he has everything. But appearances can be deceptive.

Enter Jake, the new head of security of the band and also a huge blast from the past for Sawyer. Is Jake going to be able to break down the walls that Sawyer has built and find the real man behind the facade and in doing so will he make Sawyer realise just who lies behind the public personality everyone loves?

This is an absolutely amazing journey of discovery and self realisation and takes you on an emotional journey of a lost soul! You can't help but fall for Sawyer and when you realise what he has had to contend with during his years apart from Jake your heart actually breaks for the poor guy.

Jake is an amazingly strong character and is determined to get what he wants and after spending many years building a life of his own and making a huge success of himself too, it is clear that he will stop at nothing to get Sawyer to open up.

This is a heart-rending story at times and I cried and I laughed but you come through the other side with a real sense of satisfaction and sense of closure. Both characters develop through the book and in addition to the angst and heartbreak there are may moments of happiness and dare I say panty soaking hotness too! This is definitely one to read and if you've never ventured into the realms of MM romance it is certainly a great one to pop your MM cherry with too!

Congratulations Nicola on your first MM romance and holy crap what a hot read this is too! Be proud and thank you for bringing us two for one in the hot men stakes too! :) CANNOT WAIT for the next instalment adheres hoping for another "hot one"!!!

Five uber-sizzling stars!

There was just something missing in this one for me. I did enjoy it and I liked both Sawyer and Jake. They had great chemistry. I got a bit annoyed with all of the "tits" and "pussy" mentions. And although I do like and read het books, I don't like it in my m/m books. So the on page sex with wasn't my favorite. I never got a good feel for Sawyer's bandmates. They were just extra people for the book and I never understood their dynamic. Maybe it would've helped if those relationships would've been developed?

RILETTURA 2023

On the plus side, this story has a number of things going for it
1. There are two gorgeous men
2. It combines a rock star and his bodyguard
3. Fear drives them apart but best friends are reunited – I love second chances!
4. Sexiness and the joys of learning about gay sex – oh yes!
5. Lots of love, patience and moments of tenderness
6. A bit of drama

Sawyer and Jake are best friends in high school but Jake’s family are relocated to Australia. Afraid he will never have a chance to see Sawyer again, Jake takes the plunge and kisses his friend. That is the last time they see each other until the story starts.

Skip ahead a lot of years and Sawyer now heads up a hugely successful band but all is not smooth sailing. His life isn’t his own to lead, he has hidden his sexuality from everyone (including himself) and is receiving death threats. Enter Jake, now a security expert who takes over Sawyer’s protection.

“Sawyer Knight has always deserved the best, and if he won’t let me take care of his heart, I will at least make sure I protect his life.”

Told in alternating first person point of view, this is the story of Jake (just a little bit stalkerish at the beginning?) trying to win his man and Sawyer, trying to fight his feelings and the impact that coming out will have on his life.

The downside to the story, if there is to be one, is the slightly stereotypical feel with the gay rock star worried about impact on his career if he comes out, compounded by religious and homophobic people, together with some typical secondary characters (understanding best friend and slutty musicians).

But I enjoyed the story and found it a great way to while away the hours during my travels this week. All the downtime in airports and on aeroplanes meant lots of time to read! My only issue was trying to slant the Kindle away from my seat companion so they couldn’t see the intense sex scenes! I got lost in story, willing Sawyer to get the balls to come out and crossing my fingers these guys would get their happy ending (guess what? they did!)

This is the perfect book if you like rockers and second chances and public coming out!

Sadly the only good thing that I can think of to say is that I finished it. Though even that statement must be qualified with the fact that I skimmed a lot.

Over and beyond the fact that this book is filled with more very vulgar comments about pussy and tits .... Which I most certainly don't want to read about in m/m books.... It is also filled with errors, totally unrealistic, unbelievable, mostly unlikable characters and I knew immediately who the "bad guy" was going to be. I only pushed through to the end because I stupidly already bought the next two books in the series and I kept hoping that by the end something would make me decide that I hadn't wasted my money on these three books... *sigh* sadly, nothing did.

I wanted to like this book. The plot line sounded good. I love bodyguard stories. I just felt the story needed editing. When the errors interfere with the flow of my reading than I have to mentioned them. i.e. slipping into my shirt on from the back ????

Warning: there is an M/F sex scene.

I liked Jake and Sawyer. I didn't hate this story. I just wanted to feel more.

Sawyer and Jake were best friends since they're kids. Jake had always been his shadow ever since. Jake always knew that he's gay, Sawyer not or at least he denied it. That's why he was so mad and broke their friendship after one kiss before Jake went overseas.

10 years later...they met again. In almost the same situation. Jake as a shadow of his rock star.
It's just now Sawyer is a real rock star with a life of rock star, if you know what I mean. And Jake is now his new head of security team. His bodyguard, his shadow.

But this time Jake won't give up just being a shadow and daydreaming about making Sawyer his. Not anymore.
He fought for that, for being with a man of his dream.

I love this kind of story . A sweet romance with a little mystery and all. Even in the beginning I really wanted to punch Sawyer for his blindness stupidity ! Grrrrr !

Glad Jake is more patient than me. He's really sweet and almost too good to be true. Sawyer is just so lucky loved by him.

I can't blame Sawyer for his insecurity about what his mother and all the universe will talk about his sexuality. It happens in a real world. It's forbidden. It's a sin.
And being gay is a cursed.

Then as a medical person, I know that gay was born gay. So if Religion says NO to homosexuality, why made them? For what purpose anyway?
Can't they just be happy for what they are?

I don't want to put religion into this. Because it will never be any solution.

I have gay and transgender in my family as well.. I know they're not happy when everybody cursed them. But once again... life is too short to spend in sorrow.

Be who you are. Be happy for what you are .

Sawyer finally chosen his own path of happiness. With his muse, his long lost love, Jake.

Loved the story. Recommended !

And the song is just...perfect!

I pushed you aside so I could live my life,

But without you isn’t living, I have been so blind
I’m trying to find the words I know you want to hear,

But the truth is, I’m still drowning in a giant pool of fear

It’s taken so long and I’m still not strong,

I can’t tell you how I feel, so I put it in a song,

You saved me, you loved me, showed me who I am,

So forever if you’ll let me, I will be your man

You are everything I wanted but I couldn’t admit,

You brought me back to life with just one kiss,

I wish I’d known it sooner, hadn’t been so weak,

But know I’ve always loved you,

You make me complete

I remember the feel of your body against mine,

But I pushed you away, refused to give it time

I was young, I was scared, didn’t know who I was,

I should’ve looked for answers but instead, I gave up

You are everything I wanted but I couldn’t admit,

You brought me back to life with just one kiss,I wish I’d known it sooner, hadn’t been so weak,

But know I’ve always loved you,

You make me complete

What a pleasant surprise this rocker story turned out to be. It was not all sunshine and butterflies, and it was sex, drugs, and rock n roll, but that is what a rocker story should be so I was thrilled. Didn’t mean I loved the actions of these knuckleheads because they really needed to kick in the ass at times. But, I had no problems accepting that this could really happen.

We meet best friends, Sawyer and Jake, on the last day before Jake moves from England to Australia when they are only seventeen years old. Jake finally gets the nerve to tell Sawyer how he feels about him and kisses him. Sawyer freaks out and tells Jake to never contact him again. Fast forward ten years, Sawyer is now a rock star. Jake is his new head of security…and determined to finish what he’d started ten years earlier.

Sawyer is gay, but is so far in the closet he doesn’t believe it himself. He sleeps with many women and has a different groupie on his arm every night. But he isn’t happy. He isn’t himself. He is an act; he is what the rock star status tells him to be. He is surrounded by many people but Sawyer is lonely…and then Jake comes back.

Jake left a boy but came back a very determined and confident man. Sawyer responded to his kiss before he left, and Jake is dead-set on getting Sawyer to accept that he is gay AND accept that Jake is the man he was meant to be with. He has his work cut out for him because Sawyer is running on fear; fear of losing his awful mother, fear of losing his band mates, and fear of losing his career. But he is also intensely attracted to Jake and wants him desperately. Sawyer has a lot to work out and he treats Jake terribly before they finally get the kinks all unknotted.

It’s not all about winning back the love of your life. There is a reason that Jake is the new head of security and that’s because the band has been receiving death threats; Sawyer particularly, and Jake takes his position very seriously. He is intent on keeping the love of his life safe, even though he has to jump through hoops to make it happen.

We also have to deal with the band members and their issues. Matt is one crude and depraved man. He is all about the sex and drinking…night after night after night. His language is vile and he is a difficult man to love, but he turns out to be a good friend to Sawyer.

Kip is Sawyers best friend and has been since Jake left them. He accepts everything about Sawyer and when he learns of his relationship with Jake it’s not even a blip on the radar. Kip was a great guy, a very likable guy. Sawyer’s fears were almost completely unfounded as his real family, the band, accepts him as he is. Especially since Sawyer almost broke Kip and Elle up by inadvertently, unknowingly, and stupidly using Elle as a beard…not realizing that Kip and Elle were together.

I especially loved the ending. I could not imagine a better way for Sawyer & Jake, and the band to finish their story. It was a great ending, a great story, and now I get to look forward to crazy new porn starlet, Ry. That should be fun!
