I, The People

Rate this book
We’ve all heard the story of what happens when you have a government that’s not democratic enough. From science-fiction to real world events, we all know how that scenario usually unfolds. "I, THE PEOPLE" is about something different. It’s about a government that’s TOO democratic, and how that could also be a problem.

Comparable works: In essence, this graphic novel is a mix between comic book aesthetics and dystopian novels like “1984” and “Fahrenheit 451”. These books tackled subjects like authoritarian governments and censorship, which were popular concerns of the era in which they were produced. Concerns that are still valid today. In the same way, “I, THE PEOPLE” seeks to create a discussion about digital democracy, and whether government models created centuries ago are still relevant in this age of information.
