Is fate a real thing? And if so, why would it send a rodeo-riding cowboy across the pond, throwing him into the path of a privately educated, highly strung woman deep in the throes of Olympic preparations?

Following a heartbreaking loss and a career-ending injury, Hall of Fame rodeo rider Colton Brooks finds himself a long way from home in a last-ditch attempt to save his family’s ranch. His rodeo winnings have finally run dry, and he’s forced to accept a job halfway around the world with one of the wealthiest families in England. A summer romance is the last thing on his mind, until Eleanor Stirling comes screaming into his life.

Eleanor Stirling has been dreaming of an Olympic gold medal since her mother planted said dream in her young, impressionable mind fourteen years ago. An esteemed dressage rider and member of the British National Equestrian Team, Ellie arrives at Tewkesbury Estate for a last-minute summer training camp. The entire summer is planned out for her, as most of her life has been, but no one accounted for the handsome, well-mannered cowboy who’s recently accepted a job at the estate.

Both Ellie and Colton are under intense pressure, but will they be able to confide in each other and explore their unexpected connection before the summer comes to an end?

If you enjoy swoon-worthy romance, dual POVs, and fictional men who are most definitely written by a woman, I think you'll have a wonderful time with 'My Ellie'.

My Ellie is the first book in the Perfectly Paired series written by H. Mitchell. I have never read a cowboy romance before this book, but I can honestly say My Ellie was the MOST PERFECT book to kick off my cowboy romance era. When I saw that gorgeous, bright, and pastel cover, I knew I had to get my hands on this book immediately because y'all should know by now that I'm a sucker for a pretty cover, but anyway I'm so happy I read this book because it truly brought out so many of my emotions, who would have ever known that a cowboy romance could make you cry? The characters felt so relatable and real to me. I love when an author can knock the mental health representation out of the ball park. It's hard to describe my emotions and why I felt this way if you haven't read this beautiful yet heart breaking yet, but I smiled, I laughed, I wanted to pull my hair out, I swooned, I was angry, I cried, it's like I had so many different emotions, it was unreal. My Ellie written by H. Mitchell was honestly the most realest and perfect debut novel. If you are looking for a cute, lighthearted, and fluffy romance, this book isn't for you, yes, it was cute and had fluffy moments, but it deals with very sensitive topics, which I will include in my review, so be sure to check out the trigger warning's before grabbing this beautiful love story. I can't recommend this book enough, please please, I'm begging everyone to read this book at some point because it was just too amazing to pass up.

THANK YOU TO NETGALLEY AND VICTORY EDITING NETGALLEY CO-OP FOR AN ARC OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW!!!!!!!

Twenty-seven year old Colton Brooks is the youngest rodeo rider to be inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame at just twenty-four years old. Colton has been a rodeo rider ever since he was fourteen years old, just trying to make his parents happy and proud before they pass away due to a horrific car accident. Colton has never left the United States before, but his first trip out of the US is to the United Kingdom leaving his Meemaw and his brother Wyatt back at their cottage in Texas. Colton had to stop barrel racing due to a knee injury that needed surgery. Colton is offered a job for two months at the Tewkesbury Estate by Mr. Lord Chamberlain teaching his two sons Edmund who is eleven years old and George who is thirteen years old how to barrel race, ride western pleasure, and most importantly how to be cowboys. During his stay, Colton feels homesickness, regret, and guilt for leaving his Meemaw and brother behind. I thought it was so sweet how despite Colton having a job so far across the country, yet he still made time to Facetime his family back him, it was just the sweetest ever. Ladies, please take notes, Colton Brooks is the type of man that you want in your life. 👑Don't ever let a man treat you any less than the queen that you are👑.

Eleanor "Ellie" Stirling is a twenty-four year old British Equestrian rider. Ellie has been dreaming of winning an Olympic gold medal since her mom planted that dream in her young mind and heart fourteen years ago. As a member of the British National Equestrian Team and dressage rider, Ellie arrives at the Tewkesbury Estate for a last minute summer training camp. Ellie's horse Remi was just the cutest horse ever, I loved meeting that baby and learning his personality. Ellie has natural blonde hair and green eyes and she's British, Ellie is just absolutely gorgeous. Ellie's mom, Edith was a world class dressage rider, she competed at every level and has even won an Olympic medal until a life altering injury changed the course of her life. I hated Edith so much, the way she spoke to Ellie was just disgusting and heart breaking to witness. Edith expects Ellie to be her legacy, she resembles a hawk, always watching Ellie's moves and constantly telling her what to do. I understand mom's only want the best for their children, but the way Edith treated Ellie was just so foul and there was no need to constantly be a helicopter mom. I just wanted to reach into my kindle and give Ellie the biggest hug ever.

The way Colton and Ellie met for the first time was so cute and absolutely hilarious. Ellie and Colton first meet when Remi escapes his stable and Colton has to lasso him back in, Ellie said, "I'll thank you not to play strange cowboy rodeo games with my horse next time". During their stay at the estate, Colton and Ellie spend time together and get to know each other better, both of them don't drink because of their medications. It was so wholesome when Ellie was stressed and Colton would make her banana bread with vanilla ice cream, ugh where's my personal chef? Ellie and Colton both struggle with their mental health. At twenty-seven years old, Colton struggles with the grief of losing his parents and feeling like he's not enough. At just twenty-four years old, Ellie suffers from a generalized anxiety disorder and takes three different kinds of anxiety medications. Ellie thinks Colton is a handsome cowboy with a heart of gold, which let's be honest is so true. I absolutely adore that both characters bonded over their mental health struggles, they both had each other to confide in. As Colton and Ellie talked about their struggles, I just wanted to reach into my kindle and hug both of these beautiful souls, I couldn't help but cheer them on throughout the entire book.

I found this author through Threads and was given an ARC and was pleasantly surprised by this debut novel.

I truly loved all the characters in this book, except Ellie's mom, who can go to hell. Ellie was the highlight of this book for me, though. I loved how she grew throughout the story and learned to stand up for herself with the help of our handsome cowboy, Colton!

The romance builds slowly, from enemies to friends to lovers, and reaches a satisfying climax, pun intended.

I was sobbing by the end of this novel, and a book that can make me cry is five stars in my eyes!

~Thanks to NetGalley and H. Mitchell for the ARC!~

Very cutesy horse rider—cowboy romance! Found myself giggling at some parts and then gasping in outrage at others. Lots of mental health representation. Trigger warning of an abusive parent who seriously upset me so much I kept catching myself whispering *hit her, hit her!* and I’m not even one for violence! MMC is sensitive and adorable. FMC has a lot of growth needed through the book and loved to finally see it, though, I wish she had some small breakthroughs earlier in the book. This is a sloooow burn but def has some spice if you are into that! Overall fun read and congratulations to H. Mitchell on her great debut novel!!

Thank you, NetGalley, for this ARC!

“Make time for the things you love.”

This was a really sweet romance with a fun premise. I love how Colton and Ellie are both passionate about horses, but come from entirely opposite worlds. One of the things I admire most about this book is the mental health representation. Mitchell approaches anxiety and depression in such a raw and honest way, making the characters more relatable. Mitchell treated both topics with such care and respect! There’s also such a fun host of characters that I really enjoyed.

Both main characters are well-written and well-developed. Colton is a masculine male character that has no shame talking about his struggles… we love a man in touch with his emotions! (I think this is super important!). And Ellie is a character with a well-developed arc who learns to stand up for herself and fight for what she wants. Both of these characters are so wonderful & they are perfectly paired!

I love Ellie and Colton!

3.25 ⭐️ A huge thank you to NetGalley for this advanced copy!

My Ellie was good, but it never quite tipped into great for me. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t feel it the way I wanted to. The premise was solid, the characters were likeable, and the found family element was fun (I love Meemaw), but I struggled to fully connect with anyone.

The supporting cast really stood out, though. Ellie and Colton's friends added so much heart to the story, and their dynamic made the world feel rich and lived in. The friendships, the teasing, the genuine support, it all felt warm and authentic. The found family aspect was definitely one of my favourite parts.

That being said, I found the writing a little uneven. At times, there was too much detail, slowing the pace down, and other times, I wanted more—more depth, more emotional exploration, just more to really sink into the characters and their journeys. It felt like the book hovered on the surface of something really special but never fully dove in.

I absolutely loved how raw and open the involvement and conversations around mental health were. Ellie struggled with anxiety and Colton with depression and seeing them both being so honest and unashamed about it was refreshing. I always love seeing representation in books and this one excelled with that.

Overall, I liked My Ellie. It had heart, charm, and a solid romance. It just didn’t completely hook me the way I hoped. This was a cute, fun quick read, I just don't necessarily think it'll be one that sticks with me for long. That said, I’d still check out more from H. Mitchell in the future and would recommend this when it comes out!

Where to begin. I absolutely love this book. It deals with some heavy topics like anxiety etc. I really felt for Ellie and all that she had to deal with but with Colton by her side he really helped and was so kind and caring. He’s definitely going near the top of my favourite book boyfriends. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a cowboy romance.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc!!

ARC Review
The characters in this book are so incredibly well-written that I felt like I was living every scene alongside them. Calton is the perfect gentleman—the kind you dream about but rarely find in real life 😆. His charm and subtle strength are just irresistible. And Ellie? She’s an absolute rockstar. Her sass had me smiling so many times, and her determination to stay strong through everything she’s facing is nothing short of inspiring. The side characters are just as incredible, each adding depth and richness to the story. The author has an amazing gift for creating characters that feel so real, it’s like they could walk right off the page. Every word, every detail pulls you deeper into the world they’ve built—truly a storyteller who knows how to capture hearts.

Oh boy...

I started the year with cowboy obsession, so when I saw the arc, I knew I had to.

Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Finishing it was a chore. A chore that I only put myself through because the deadline was approaching.

The people? Ellie and Colton? Boring! Traumatied (who isn't these days?). Colton was sweet, but it didn't save the book for me. To call them in rupaul's terms: it's giving pedestrian, it's giving h&m. iykyk.

The romance? I wasn't sold at all. Colton interacted more with 1885219 side characters than he did with Ellie, at least in the first 50% of the book. Their first interaction was at like 15% mark, but they had a proper conversation so much later. If anything, they were more friends than lovers. A lot of their supposedly meaningful conversation was told, not showed. "we talked for hours", "he learned a lot of things about me" etc

The dialogue was also a big issue for me. It was hell of an unrealitic. People speak small portions, talking over each other and stuff, but these people spoke entire school performance monologues.

Kudos for putting them through therapy and actually praise the therapists (since it's often undermined by the pussy/cock magic in books these days). Unforunately, therapy overwhelmed the story. Except for colton's grandma's recipes and Ellie's random passion for painting (that was mentioned like three times) all they talked was therapy and trauma. What are they going to even talk about after they work it through? The only thing that annoyed me regarding therapy was when Ellie went "let me tell you something that probably no one ever told you" and then she told him that his feelings are valid. That's like therapy 101. Are we okay?

Didn't particularily like the ending with the airport cliche and all, but whatever atp.

But what I really take issue with are these two things:

- LET'S STOP WRITING THREESOME WITH TWINS INNUENDOS! that was an interesting use of a free will, and it was absolutely disgusting to me. It also wasn't necessary for the plot, so why? WHY????????

- the whole trip to the pub where they played a strip poker in a pub where there are people in the pub! Being in your underwear doesn't mean decent. If I saw a gang of people playing strip poker ina public pub publically, I'd shoot them. Do that shit at home!

1.5 stars rounded up.

Thank you #NetGalley for providing me with an arc for this book #MyEllie, but this ellie is not mine.

Oh, and she wears leggings in the year of the lord 2025

“A problem shared is a problem halved, and we both vowed to help each other through the good and the bad”

Firstly, a massive thank you to the author for approving me as an ARC reader 🫶🏼

For a debut novel, this book as absolutely perfect. It was so well written, such a lovely plot and even though I’d read my fair share of cowboy romances, completely different to anything I’ve ever read.

For starters it’s set in the UK which being from the UK myself I bloody LOVE. The way Colton obsesses with Ellie from the moment he laid eyes on her and the way Ellie slowly starts to let him in. It’s just all perfect.

The fact that mental health is mentioned in the book as well is amazing, I haven’t come across many books that mention mental health but this really helps me connect with characters on a personal level.

I was planning on binge reading this but I loved it so much I’m glad I took my time nd really slowed down to enjoy every single second. I’m am dying for more books in this series, maybe a Wyatt book next? 👀

This book is one of my, if not is, my most favourite book of of this year so far, I can’t wait for it to be released so I can add the physical copy to my shelf 💕

First of all, thank you so much Net Galley for the arc!
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did! I thought it was going to be just a cute cowboy romance but this has a deep behind it that made it so much better.
In my experience with cowboy romances, the cowboy has this tough guy appearance and acts like a really manly guy but is really sweet to his family and close friends, showing his love with actions. This mmc is different, he's a cowboy so of course he is tough but the most important thing about him is that he's sweet to everyone around him, a friendly guy who passes a banana bread recipe to a chef just so everyone can experience is meemaw baked goods. For me, it was refreshing to have such a cute mmc. I also didn't expect to have a cowboy in England but loved it!
The mental health rep is also amazing, it perfectly shows how it is a daily struggle and at the same time, most people don't see it so they probably don't even dream that the person on their side is suffering.
An amazing read!

My Ellie is a tender, slow-burn romance featuring Colton Brooks, a deliciously handsome, kind but troubled rodeo-riding cowboy and Eleanor (Ellie) Stirling; a strong but also troubled British dressage rider preparing for the Olympics. Both Ellie and Colton are under intense pressure for different reasons but when their universes colide, Ellie needs to make a decision that will affect both their lives.

You don't need to love horses to enjoy this sweet love story. The characters are well-rounded and the relationship dynamics with their friends and family gave great depth. I also appreciated that the author didn't shy away from including mental health as an intrinsic part of the storyline. I finished My Ellie in double quick time - I just had to know what happened between Ellie and her Texan cowboy! A really wholesome, romantic read with some tasteful spice.

Thank you Netgalley for a gifted copy of this book. All opinions will be my own.

I LOVED this book! Not only does this book explore the growing romantic relationship of Ellie and Colton, but has open discussions about mental health, particularly anxiety and depression. I loved how the couple both grew as individuals and together and supported each other through difficult mental health days.
As well as romantic relationships, this looks at platonic relationships and the friendships were so wonderfully supportive.
Please check the trigger warnings beforehand as there is a very toxic parental relationship in this.

Overall, highly recommend! A wonderful Cowboy Romance with a twist.

First book for this author? What a debut! I loved it! It is very well written. Interesting, well developed and LIKABLE characters. The story is gripping and keeps you glued from start to finish. It deals with some possible triggers. Mom is a piece of work. Wow is all I’ll say. Ellie and her best friend are competing for spots on the Olympic team. Colton has been hired to teach a couple of kids to be a “cowboy “. The two definitely have the right chemistry. I couldn’t put this book down. Will definitely be watching for the next in this series and anything else this author releases. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

NetGalley Arc Review

This was such a fun relaxing read. Taking place on an estate in the UK. Colton is a retired rodeo cowboy working at the estate and Ellie is a dressage rider attending a summer camp on the estate. They have a bit of a rocky first meet but eventually come around. Mitchell did a wonderful job of showcasing mental health and brings awareness to depression and anxiety. I love that Colton is someone who shows his love openly both for his family and his friends. This debut novel is incredibly written and I cant wait to see more.

4.5 stars!!!

What to expect with this book:

•Black cat x golden retriever
•One sided love at first site
•Dislike to friends to lovers
•Mental health representation
• No 3rd act breakup

In this debut novel, we have Colton Brooks who takes a job in England at Lord Chamberlain’s estate to teach his sons how to become real cowboys and Ellie Stirling training for the Olympics in dressage.

I love how in the beginning Colton was smitten with Ellie the whole time and I’m usually in not to into insta-love but I love how Ellie wanted nothing and I repeat nothing to do with him. Watching them become friends was so nice because she really just needed more people to be on her cheering team. The way that he helped her finally realize what she wanted and to let loose. I hated her mom so so much and when Ellie finally was able to stand up to her, I was cheering so hard.

I was so surprised that this was a debut novel, I really liked it and I kinda wish there was more. I just needed it a little longer because I loved them so much

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book early!

Wow, oh wow! I found this book and author via threads and Instagram and it did not disappoint. I love a slow burn and the tasteful spice is amazing. The mental health representation of anxiety and depression is one of the best representations I’ve read recently - truly she treated these topics with such care and respect.

Colton, an American cowboy, goes across the pond to teach a Lord’s sons how to be cowboys. The Lord is also hosting a group of young adults who are hoping to make Olympic trials. Ellie is one of the hopefuls who is staying on the grounds. This is a forbidden romance, found family story with *amazing* mental health rep, healthy communication and great plot. A fantastic debut!

Side note: if Meemaw’s desserts are based on any real recipes please share because they sounded amazing :)

I am now hooked on cowboy romance after reading this sweet and spicy debut by H. Mitchell.

The characters are well written and believable which is something I personally look for in a contemporary romance.

The mental health representation in this story is excellent. There are some heavy topics covered and it is well done.

The slow burn is enjoyable and so satisfying at the end.

I’m looking forward to book two!

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for the advanced reader copy of this book in return for an honest review.

A Heartfelt and Captivating Journey

This book was an absolute delight to read, offering a refreshing take on a love story that captivated me from start to finish. While it is a slow burn, this pacing is essential for the deep character development that unfolds throughout the narrative. The way the story slowly reveals the lives of Colton and Ellie, building their connection, is nothing short of enchanting.

Colton, with his gentle nature, is an ideal leading man. His unwavering support and respect for Ellie, particularly the way he seeks permission before entering her personal space, truly demonstrates his thoughtful and caring personality. His commitment to his work transcends mere financial gain; it is evident that he is deeply invested in mentoring the next generation, which adds a layer of depth to his character. Furthermore, Colton’s strong family values and the way he naturally shares them with Ellie adds warmth to the story and deepens their bond.

The romance between Colton and Ellie is not only heartwarming but also beautifully intertwined with their shared love for horses, symbolizing the trust and understanding that grows between them.

Ellie’s personal growth throughout the story is nothing short of remarkable. The book addresses the importance of mental health, and Ellie’s journey to finding her voice and embracing her true passion is both empowering and inspiring. Her evolution, learning to "make room for the thing she loves most," is a testament to her strength and resilience.

While Ellie’s relationship with her mother is heartbreaking, I truly hope she finds the help she so desperately needs. On a more positive note, I’m glad to see Ellie’s father recognizing the importance of supporting her even beyond the gates of heaven.

Lastly, I can’t forget to mention Mee-maw, whose recipes add a delightful touch to the story. The way she shares them and ensures that everyone who tries them is acknowledged, even with a picture, is simply charming. I would love to get my hands on those recipes!

Overall, this book is a beautifully crafted tale of love, growth, and the importance of family. Highly recommended!

What could be better than a retired rodeo cowboy and Olympic dressage hopeful? Their chance encounter one summer on Lord Chamberlain’s Estate.

This debut novel by H Mitchell was refreshing. The characters were developed so well. The author has not only done her homework in the equine field, but in understanding the work and training of Olympic hopefuls.

I enjoyed this slow burn of Colton and Ellie’s relationship as it developed into so much more. The author does a great job relaying the emotion of each character. I look forward to reading Part 2 of this series, and hope to see more of Rory and Sanya or Wyatt and Christine.

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this book and I loved it. This book centers on Colton, a cowboy who is spending the summer at the Tewkesbury estate, and Eleanor who is a dressage olympic hopeful. The chemistry between them was organic and felt very easy, especially when they were supporting each other through very complex real-life challenges. Colton was such a dream boat, especially in his care of Eleanor. This is H. Mitchell's debut novel and she will have a second installment to this interconnected series. If you love
-slow burn
-friends to lovers
-he falls first
-found family
-mental health rep
-golden retriever MMC
then this book is for you.

CW/TW:
-parental abuse, both emotional and physical
-descriptive sexual scenes
-depression and anxiety

This was such a beautiful story! I really appreciate how the mental health representation was handled with such care and compassion for Ellie and Colton. It was a very raw and real journey for the both of them and I loved seeing how they became each other’s support systems and biggest cheerleaders. Colton is absolutely swoon-worthy (I mean he’s a cowboy… come on) and the romance was so sweet. Huge thanks to H. Mitchell for the ARC.

✨ARC Review✨

I absolutely adore this book! This is H Mitchell’s debut novel and it is so good! I cannot believe this is her first book.

The book follows Colton, an American Rodeo Cowboy, as he goes to England for a summer job training the two sons of a Lord there. While he is in England at the Lord’s property there is also an English team of Olympic hopefuls training for the trials. In this group is Ellie, a dressage rider, who has only ever put all of her focus and time into getting an Olympic Gold medal. Colton is such a green flag I loved him. Ellie has spent her whole life trying to live up to her mom’s standards and she is more stand-offish at first, but her intentions are always good.

This is a slow burn romance so you really get to see their friendship and foundation of the relationship build between them throughout the book. There is also such great representation of mental health in this book I was blown away about how well it was written. She did great with the detail and depth to the characters so they all added to the story well without feeling like filler just trying to hit a word count.

It has a great flow that made it easy to read. I would definitely recommend it as a palate cleanser if you read a lot of heavy themed books, or if you only like sweet romances this would be perfect.

My Ellie is a heartfelt, beautifully written novel that completely pulled me in. Ellie’s journey of self-discovery and resilience was both inspiring and deeply emotional, and I loved how Colton supported her every step of the way. Their relationship developed so naturally—from strangers to friends to something more—and I appreciated that their romance wasn’t rushed but built on trust and understanding.

Colton is the kind of love interest you can’t help but adore—kind, patient, and endlessly supportive. He didn’t just fall for Ellie; he encouraged her to find her own voice and stand up for what she truly wanted. And when she finally did? I was cheering for her!

The book also handles mental health with care and authenticity, making the characters’ struggles and growth feel incredibly real.

This story made me feel everything—joy, frustration, heartbreak, and ultimately, hope. I wasn’t ready for it to end, and I wish I could have spent even more time with these characters. If you love emotional, character-driven romances with a slow burn and a cowboy who will steal your heart, My Ellie is a must-read! Thank you BookSirens and H. Mitchell for this ARC!!

“I’ll tell you this just once. You keep her name out of your god-damn mouth unless you’re singing her praises, do you hear me?” 🥵🥵

What a debut novel! I read this as an ARC reader, first of all, thank you! I absolutely loved this novel! I found myself crying happy tears by the end of the book! The plot, the way i was giddy kicking my feet at some parts, and chanting “kiss her!” one minute, and ready to jump through the pages at Ellie’s mom the next! I like that this is a dual POV! It’s definitely a slow but well worth it burn! This cowboy set in the UK, feel good, easy to read, cozy vibe book is so wholesome. I do want to give the author so much credit, this book speaks on mental health, and i feel like she does a FANTASTIC job describing mental health. It was truly felt through the pages, you could tell it wasn’t a guess on description, it felt wildly accurate to my own struggles which made me love the book that much more, and then even more as an equestrian girl myself. All in all, this was a very easy, fun, feel good wholesome read! 🤍📖
Make time for the things you love! 💕🥹

This was sooo beautiful. I loved everything about it:
the premise, the romance, and especially the characters.

I loved and rooted for Ellie and Colton from the start.
Both had their own struggles, which I thought elevated their characters. Ellie's development was admirable and seeing her grow was so exciting. Colton is the best older brother and grandson, and he is so kind to literally everyone. The side characters are also really interesting. Sanya and Rory added so much fun to the story. And yes, there were some frustrating characters, but some of them are slightly... amusing. Ellie's mother... 🫤. Hate is a strong word, but I genuinely hated her. Someone like her should never be a parent. (I hope this isn't a spoiler 😭).

The romance... THIS is why I love friends to lovers so much (it's technically enemies to friends to lovers). Ellie and Colton were attracted to each other from the start, BUT they became really good friends before acting on their feelings. The friends to lovers in this book has everything I love about the trope, and it is done perfectly.

Overall, this was a beautifully written and well-constructed romance!

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the eARC! All opinions are my own.

This book was so cute! I didn’t know that I was CRAVING a cowboy romance set in the English Countryside but this book scratched an itch I didn’t even know was there. This is a romance between a cowboy and a professional horse dressage athlete and it was such a unique premise that was super well executed.

I really loved the slow burn aspect of this book and it had great yearning between both love interests which I feel like is rare in books that aren’t fantasy but it was really well executed. I also loved the found family trope and while reading I almost felt as if I was there at the estate hanging out with the characters.

I will also say that I loved the fact that even though there was some description about dressage, I never felt confused about what was going on as someone who knows next to nothing about the sport.

The plot was also really well paced, it really hit that sweet spot between being fast paced enough to be able to cover a whole summer without ever feeling rushed.

If you want a cute sports romance that still has that small town vibe, this book is perfect for you!!

Thank you to the Author and Netgalley for the E-ARC of this book <3
