What happens when a brooding soldier by the name of Asher Reid with a penchant for using the phrase I don’t moves into the vacant townhouse beside the inquisitive journalist, Neena Cameron? Exactly what the free-spirited soul vowed she would never do—fall in love. Problem is trying to convince Asher this is a good idea, but with him saying, “I don’t do relationships,” a challenge presents itself and the determined woman sets out to show him he can.

This was a nice read. Some parts were better than others.
Ex-military moves next door to a reporter. The heroine works hard at trying to break down the hero’s walls. The hero shows he cares for the heroine by cooking for her and taking care of her when she is sick.
This books deals with human trafficking. Some scenes may be hard to read.
This book is so engaging and the story is so compelling that I read the entire book in one day. Highly recommend this and any other book by this author.
My, oh my, there are not enough words, nor adequate words to convey my feelings about this book. It is beyond good. It was so engaging, so entertaining, so poignant, so intriguing that it was impossible to put down. I did not want it to end. Why did it have to? I loved Neena. She was so much fun.
Romance, clean; series but stand alone read. Christian faith elements Neena and Asher's story was so unique, wonderful, and magical. Both hurting and both determined and just a gorgeous read! Neena's quirky personality and career, Asher's rigidity and passion for food, his military back ground, it all came together so perfectly. Neena gradually wears Asher down to open his heart up to trust and love again, and they both have to learn to read each other's love language. Asher shows so much how he cares about Neena through taking care of her, but not with words. His food, his watchful care, and finely opening up his heart fully to her. Loved seeing cameos from the characters in the first novel in this series. Loved the re-read. Truly a gorgeous read.
I have loved people who served my country, and seen the weight that they carry with them because of it. This book beautifully counterbalances the weight and pain of trauma with the love and peace only our Lord can bring. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline. Well worth the read.
Yep. Lowe, I am losing an awful lot of sleep due to your amazing way with words and weaving beautiful stories. I simply love Neena and Asher's romance so very much. I especially love how their stories are woven together like an intricate, yet simple web. It is just beautiful. I knew what was going to happen, but that did not lessen the impact it had on my fragile emotions. Powerful. Stupendous. Fantastic. Renders me unable to come up with words eloquent enough to describe how amazing your book Until I Don't truly is, T.I. Lowe. 😊
It's not often I find books that I fall in love with. As a military brat, I first appreciated the care the author took to portray these delightful soldiers. As a quirky female, I loved the MC! Great job, T.I. Lowe!!
Oh my goodness!!! Y'all! Buy this book now. If you like romance, laugh out loud southern humor and to shed a tear or two while reading, then this is your book. This author has been a favorite of mine since I read Lulu's Cafe years ago. I loved the characters, (I'd love to be a part of their fictional family) the plot, absolutely everything! I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Loved this book! Loved Neena and her love of words and Asher and his silent type self and how Neena slowly begins to draw him out. I love everything about their story-the tension, the chemistry, the friendship, the hope, the romance. I faced a little frustration with Neena a couple of times over some choices she made, but I appreciated the balance of Asher's wisdom in those situations. Fantastic read!
What an incredible story!!! I absolutely loved the characters in this story. Neena shows her love of Christ in all that she does. Asher is scarred but heals through relentless love. I laughed and cried multiple times while reading this story. Such great topics are touched on in this story in such a moving way. I loved it and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Another fantastic novel by one of my favorite authors. If you love stories revolving around modern day heroes, this is the book for you. T.i. Lowe has the gift of creating characters that the reader cannot help but fall in love with.
I have no words to convey the emotions this book put me through but I applaud T.I. Lowe for shining light on such evil while giving respect to those who serve this country.
5 solid stars for this wonderful book. I was engaged in this story from start to finish. I have read other books by this author and this one is my favorite.
She is bound and determined to get to know her hot, new, mysterious, military neighbour. He is just as determined to keep her out of his life. Although he keeps her at arm’s length, she is relentless. She somehow manages to wiggle her way through his staunch defences and it turns out... the two rather complement each other, although they are polar opposites.
-‘Obviously, life has hurt him. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, I know God put this man in my life with a purpose, so I resolve this very night to not give up until that purpose is revealed.’-
Once again, I became thoroughly mesmerized by the author’s story and I very much enjoyed the humour. The humour helps to balance out the heavy topics that are talked about in her stories. They did not leave me unmoved as I know there are hidden, harsh realities of pure evil out there in the world that most of us can’t even begin to imagine.
I also kind of fell in love with Asher. Ms. Lowe creates the most amazing book boyfriends. (Shh! Just don’t tell my husband. 🤫)
Hats off to this very gifted, talented author! Another excellent read. Highly recommended. She has claimed a spot at the top of my favourite authors list since I discovered her work just a few days ago. I can’t wait to read more!
It has been some time since a book captured my attention so fully and completely! I have often found that Christian fiction can be too “surface-y” and not present what a true relationship looks like. Either a couple jumps into “love” too quickly or their relationship is so unrealistic as to be laughable. NOT SO with this book! The style of writing took me a few pages to adjust to, but once I got into it, I felt that it perfectly fit the main character, Neena. Her quirkiness and love of unusual words immediately captured my attention and I delightedly followed her antics throughout the story. I laughed multiple times, and cried a few, too. Finally, a good, clean, Christian romance that wasn’t “preachy” while still sharing the gospel and God’s truth. Neena lived her faith out - what a great example of how all Christians should be! She wasn’t perfect, but she was genuine and believable. I really can’t say enough good things about this book. The characters were fantastic, the plot engaging, intriguing and dealt with some seriously real emotions and relationship issues. I highly recommend this book! This was my first book by this author and I can’t wait to read what else she has out there!
This book was such a pleasant surprise! The depth of character here was impressive. Neena is a feisty, driven journalist who lives large. She loves others, seeks justice and has fun doing it. She isn't afraid to bring joy and laughter to the lives of others, even at her own expense. But her serious side hurts when others hurt, and wants to remind us all that our connections to one another matter. Asher is contained, cut-off and distant... but only on the outside. He feels deeply, and has been fighting bullies (in their various forms) for years. When vivacious Neena makes it her personal mission to make her seemingly surly neighbor smile, she finds a little more than she bargained for.
The story is long - it covers somewhere around two years of time - but totally worth it. I never felt as if the plot was dragging; there were enough highs and lows in the story to keep me fully engaged from start to finish.
Highly recommended to readers who aren't offended by a little "churchiness", who enjoy romantic suspense, and who love a hard-won HEA.
Loved this book. It had an erratic narration style reflecting Neena, the female protagonist (and she is a hand and mouthful, let me tell you!), a very taciturn neighbour aka male protagonist, and for a Christian novel enough "spice" and very informative investigative journalism in the figure of Neena. The story is told a bit one-sided, i.e. from Neena's point of view, but once you get used to her bubbly outer persona, you will find that she is quite a shrewd judge of character. The Christian aspect in this novel may sometimes come over a bit heavy (you are not quite hit on the head with it occasionally), and a times at the wrong place, but all in all it was very well done indeed, and the message of this book cannot be missed. And no, I will let readers find that out for themselves. I do want the other books in this series though, straight away. With the exception of a few minor points, I love T.I.Lowe's narration style in this book, and the characters (including the ones re-appearing from the first book in this series). I do think the author has just won a new follower.
A solid 5 Stars!!! I loved this novel, and found it incredibly hard to put down. Lowe has a way of sweeping you up in her storytelling, as well as creating rich characters that are both lovable and flawed. Her novels give you a sense of it all being real; not cliche, cheesy or fantasy.
Neena, is awesome! I really love how she puts herself out there and lives fully in each moment. Asher, is one of those characters that you want to figure out; you want to see him open up and like Neena, you want to see his smile. Their interactions, budding friendship and eventually more were so well written.
I cannot say enough good things about this one! I hope you will pick it up and find it as moving and as engaging as I did; let yourself settle in and let it delight you!
Loved this novel and found it incredibly hard to put down. Review to come.
This book is amazing. T. I. Lowe continues to offer up book goodies in the resolutions series in Until I Don’t. This book is a sweet inspirational romance about Neena and Asher. Neena was introduced in book 1 as Mia’s sister. This book gave me all the feels and I loved it. A few takeaways for me from the book are 1) don’t be afraid to let love in, 2) share Jesus with every soul and 3) don’t isn’t always a negative word. The love story between Neena and Asher is a slow build to a fulfilling reward to the reader. The characters aren’t perfect, but they are perfect for each other. T. I. Lowe is a gifted writer and I’m glad she shares her stories with us.
I really enjoyed the characters and the growth of each as they grew to know each other. Of course Asher's food made me want to run to his restaurant. Yes, I know it's a book. But I am a foodie and can see it as I read. I loved how Neena didn't let her cancer rule her life or hold her back. He love of God and His people is her foundation. As a wife, daughter, sister, aunt and granddaughter of soldiers, airmen and marines I can spot one coming. You often see the pain, worry, hurt and need in their eyes and body language. Thank you for handling their trauma with so much Grace!!!!
Asher and Neena both are in need of a fresh start. But they do not think that it should be together. Watching their conflict change to friendship to more was simply beautiful. This book felt real. All of us have hang-ups and opinions that can keep us from connecting with others. How they break down the barriers is a reminder that relationships are worth the effort. Just when the storyline seems heavy, the author lightens it up.
"The Resolutions" series is heart wrenching in all of the best ways. Having met Neena in the first book, I liked learning why she was so tough and seemed to be unyielding. The characters are real and relatable.
This novel goes deeper than just a romance between a gal who doesn't think she is worthy of love and a former soldier that doesn't want to get too close because of the horrors he has seen. Neena is a reporter who takes risks in the stories she wants to write about. She investigates racial relations, human trafficking and gets written responses from soldiers who pour their hearts out in letters. Be prepared for some mystery, a few twists and some heart pounding action. Will our hero, Asher, who's favorite phrase is "I don't" be there for her in her darkest times? I liked this one just a bit more than the first in the series "Until I do"
Readers, put on your seatbelts and prepare for the ride of your life!! T. I. Lowe has written the most beautiful story that transports the reader into the story with the characters. She has such a way with words and has you feeling all the angst, joy, sadness, and pride that each character experiences. I congratulate her for the way she honors the military and depicts the sacrifices made by these heroes. We can never thank our military men and women enough. God bless them all. You did an exceptional job weaving the love of God throughout and showing that He has a plan for our lives if we’ll just be receptive. Thank you for this AMAZING book 📕
3.5 stars Firstly, I really enjoy the close relationships, humor and romance in this book; however, while this book held a lot of promise, the longer it went on, the more irritating it got. Asher's reluctance, stoic manner and retreating behavior became overdone. I understand and can appreciate the reason behind why he is the way he is, but I felt beat over the head with it. I'm like, come on now! By the time the romance/ relationship did FINALLY kick in, I was kind of over the whole book. It just wasn't interesting enough overall. I didn't need constant romance or even drama, but I found myself bored with story even on other elements.
This book is amazing. Tackling hard social issues as well as personal ones and how we handle them. I was drawn in from the first page and wasn't let go until it was over. The characters and circumstances were handled so realistically and so well I'm actually going to read it again immediately. I am a word nerd too so I loved that there's fun vocabulary thrown in along with healthy sibling/inlaw relationships. The hero of the story really is a superhero and the way they learn about each other has hilarious and heart breaking moments.
The author is very talented. Human trafficking is a blight on our world. This sensitive story has romance, Christ, and reverence for our military heros. Neena is a little too physical with Asher for my Christian taste. She should not wrap her legs around him! Otherwise the book is entertaining with a good message about the evils of this world and healing.
