To escape brutal injustice, I find myself begging to have the baby of this alien warlord.

Most of this book makes little to no sense.
I read a lot of arc’s and understand that they still require final revisions, however…
There is absolutely no way that this book is ready to be read or published. It seemed more like an outline which desperately needs a proofreader and an editor…

VERONICA was scheduled to become a judge's 12th wife. But she isn't a normal woman. She's finally sent off to the Intergalactic Surrogacy Agency. She'd wanted off the planet but couldn't come up with the funds. But the judgement gets her what she wants.
Now she'll become a breeder for a warlord on another planet. But it's so much better than what was suppose to be her fate if she stayed on her planet.
GAIRO is a warlord who is being matched to a heartmate to haveb his child. When she shows up he knows she is his. But she has told him she won't stay beyond the time of the contract. He is trying to figure out how to make her change her mind.
Then he has a mission to an area where he was found with amnesia. When he returns he heads directly to Vi.
He has plans to take her to see his steed. But as they stop for food a strange female yells for him and tells him she is his heartmate from his original clan. Vi is so not liking that. She doesn't trust that female. She steals her communicator and makes a replica. She sees messages that prove she is not telling the whole truth. All she can do is tell GAIRO that something is off. He too feels something off. At this point VERONICA is pregnant and he doesn't want her out of his sight. It is decided that he go to his original clan and sort of investigate. Besides he's curious about his old life. Only danger hits hard and they may all lose their lives. Will they get out in time?
A fascinating story of a female who is strong enough to be herself and make others see there is nothing wrong with it.

Veronica wants freedom from her oppressive colony that she leaves to be a surrogate to an alien warlord. He gives her what she never knew she needed.
Gairo has memory loss, but he knows Veronica is his heart-mate. Not even his scheming brother can break their bond. Between them, Veronica and Gairo fights to the desth to protect one another.
I enjoyed this story especially as Veronica was able to get what she wanted and need despite her repressive colonies attempts to break her.

When she meets Gairo, she has no idea of how her plans will change. He has no idea of his first 15 years - but he knows that Veronica is his heart mate. When his brother finds him, will they survive the trap he has set for them? Loved the twists and turns.

I really disliked this book.
Firstly, a lot of it doesn’t make sense. The storyline seems to jump around and I felt like I had missed a couple of chapters or something.
Secondly, the FMC, Veronica, just comes across as aggressive and obnoxious. She wasn't pleasant to read.
Thirdly, the spicy scenes read like they were written by someone who has never has sex. They were clumsy and not spicy at all.

The author has taken us to another time and place to pull us into the lives of Veronica/Vi and Gairo. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, fear of relationships, determination, attempted sabotage and steam.
