Welcome to UN, Inc., where no one can agree on the number of elevators or which direction they go, and one of them (possibly) is occupied by an office; where getting too close to your work is certain to make you Late (for the rest of your life). The business is patching up rifts in time before Chicago discovers what happens when too much Time happens in one place (trust us, it's bad).

It's been four months since the city was almost destroyed from Navy Pier and a darkness has descended over the city that may never give way to dawn again. Military task force Unit 313 has been out of sight working on something terrible - that is, until their sudden reemergence marking the beginning of a hostile takeover. But even that is child's play compared to the deadly wraiths that escaped from the worst corner of the Universe and have been feeding on the life-time of Chicago's citizens by night.

Meanwhile, Emily Snow struggles with the monotony of paperwork, the office secretary, and the fact that her workplace has decided to cage a monster in one of the Training Rooms - all the perks of being a full-time Site Technician. But there was something else that happened back on Navy Pier, and she's about to discover what it means to Glow.
