JOSH is an imaginary, fictional version of the Biblical story of Jesus of Nazareth told by his mother, Mary. While the story relies upon and alludes to the Biblical narrative, it contains little of the symbolism and cultural philosophy and prophecy on which the original story is based. The questions that inspired this retelling were, “What would Jesus (aka ‘Josh’) be like if he were born today? What would his life be like if he were born into our world? How would our world be different if he hadn’t come two-thousand years ago? How would he change this world if he was born now?
The focus of this story is on the human character of The One whose simple life and radical message changed the course of history for time and eternity.
