This second instalment did not disappoint.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE READ THE FIRST BOOK BEFORE THIS BOOK!
Eliza - AKA Krinos aka Kalon is still a take no shit - hold life by the balls, stab him if he pisses you off kick ass heroine.
Stefanos is still a bad ass mo'fo who looks like a greek god and has an amazing sex drive!
Krinos still wants revenge. Stefanos still want her.
Her father is still in a coma. Her mother by her side.
Leaving Krinos running the empire.
Krinos' old fuck buddy Hunter is back in town.
He just happens to be a bad ass MC president!
Krinos meets another kick ass chick who has as much sass as she does!
Some people get their ass kicked. Some hilarious scenes.
Some OMG Krinos is going to fuck you up moments!
Some OH MY GOD where the hell is B.O.B moments!
oh and upside down sex - Yep very ADVENTUROUS!
and then T.L drops a massive cliff hanger right on our heads!
So personally I can't freaking wait for the next in the series.. TL Smith has a wicked sense of humour, a vivid imagination and knows her way around the bedroom and writes some kick-ass people and crime plots. Just some of the reasons I'm loving these novella's!
But I'll tell you after reading the last page I really can't wait for the next book!

I chose to read this book because I was provided with an ARC for review.
Author, T.L. Smith rocked it out of the park AGAIN with this second book in the Take Over series, Kalon! It was an awesome continuation of the first book. Kalon picked up right where Krinos left off.
As I said in my review of book one in the Take Over series, Krinos, I was told before I started the series that "it's not for everyone", and while that is likely true, it was definitely "for me"! I started in on this book immediately after finishing Krinos and read it in one sitting! It was that good. I just couldn't put it down.
Kalon brings in a few new characters to the fold and with them come new twists and turns. It's an amazing read! We also got a bit of biker-yumminess thrown into this book too! Mmmm, loved it!
The author did a great job with the writing and continued character development, giving the characters even more depth and the reader the opportunity to "get to know" the characters that much better. I, personally, would have liked to see this story be longer, but then I said that with the first one in the series as well. Other than that, the only other issue I had with the book was the italicized words. They were way too abundant and seemed unnecessary at times. It seemed more of the cuss words were italicized than not, and it got rather annoying. I found myself ignoring them and just reading them as normal within the sentences. That was minor in the bigger picture though. Otherwise, Kalon is an amazing continuation of the Take Over series and I am waiting not so patiently for the next book in the series!

Ok Where to start...
You will need to read Krinos Book 1 In the Take Over Series first.
In 'Krinos' Book 1, I was hooked into T.L. Smiths world of Krinos - the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God. and OMG he is TDHHD (Tall Dark (well he is Greek!),Handsome, Horny and dangerous!)
Krinos, is a beautiful woman who on first glance men have the impression that they can control her - they are so wrong, she is a strong woman, a survivor and is taking control of her fathers major crime organization, and also looking for the person responsible for shooting her dad and putting him in a coma.
Kalon takes off where Krinos finished, and there are a couple of new characters introduced in this book, but that's all I will say on that front as i don't do spoilers.
Yes this is a short Novella, but its fast paced and edgy, I enjoyed reading it, and even though it ended on a cliff hanger I am not going to mark it down because of that.
Some readers may wish to hold off on reading short novella's like this until there are more books in the series, but I can recommend this series if you enjoy Kick Ass Characters, Racy Sex scenes and a Crime Family plot line.
So here I am, left waiting anxiously for Book 3 to find out how Krinos will get out of the fix she is in now!
Congrats Ms Smith for keeping me enthralled for the last 3 hours.

Great second book in the Take Over Series ...
Kalon, is the second book in the Take Over series. It continues where the first book finished and is the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God.
Krinos, is a tough woman, very tough and she really shines through in this portion of the story. We are introduced to a number of new characters, which all add to the intrigue of the story line. It also shows a softer side to Krinos, although she would hate for me to say that.
Who wouldn't love Stefanos? He really is a Greek God in all ways. He's definitely one of my current book boyfriends. Just love his dominant and demanding ways.
This is a very quick read, but I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment. I give this book five stars.

Well TL Smith did it again....damn that woman with her writing makes me hot....thank god it's now ok to own up to having hot dates with B.O.B!!!!
I thought Krinos was badass in book 1 now I know she's frickin badass and hard as hell...but with a huge soft spot and unlimited love for man..
Stefanos just keeps getting hotter and hotter and that man with his alpha bossy made my foo foo clench hard damn thing didn't unclench till the end....but sooooooo worth it....
I'm telling you nothing else...and I'm giving you no spoilers you wanna get over and one click this baby now..and remember authors love to know your opinion so leave a review just a little one

My name is Krinos and I am being trained to lead one of the largest drug operations in the world. I am my father’s daughter and will do whatever it takes to repay those that have hurt my family. My father was ambushed and is in a coma. I will take my revenge on all those that have tried to harm my family and they need to be afraid, very afraid. I am not what you would think of as a normal woman because even though my body has been tortured and my soul scared I will not be broken by those that would destroy me. By my side I have my ‘Greek God’ and he would die to protect me. He is a stone cold killer and he would do anything to keep me safe.
I am working to strengthen my alliances and will be using some of my old ones to locate the man that ordered the hit on my father. He will pay for what he has done and I will be the one that administers that payment. Stefanos is very possessive of me and does not want another man to look at or touch me and that makes it hard sometimes to do my job. If you look for the silver lining in what has happened to my father it is that my mother is once again by his side and I don’t think she will ever leave again. My mother is the love of my father’s life and she is his Kalon, his perfect love. So I am truly surprised when a strange young woman says that she is my sister. She tells me that she is my father’s old girlfriend’s daughter and that her mother kicked her out because she wanted to meet me. Her name is Carmen and she wants to be like me, how can I believe her? My father has never kept any secrets from me and this is a huge one.
As if I don’t have enough to focus on I now have a sister that is a little bit crazy and wants to work with me. I try to explain what happens to women in this world and how it would break her but she doesn’t believe me. Finally I show her the scars that cover my body given to me by a mad man that didn’t want me to lead after my father. Maybe she will take a step back and really look at what she wants to get into if she tries to be like me. I feel like Carmen wants something from me and I’m not sure what it is. Stefanos tells me that I own his soul and I now know that he also owns mine and we cannot be apart. Life is so very complicated when you are a 'Drug Princess' and have a 'Greek God' at your side loving and protecting you.
Will Carmen go back to her mother and leave this life behind and if not will I able to protect her? Can Stefanos and I make a life for ourselves in this uncertain violent world that we live in? Will I be able to take my revenge on the man that had my father shot? ~CJ

Picking up right where we left off in book 1 tragedy has struck the Contos family. Krinos wants revenge and she knows exactly who to go after! She knows she will need help to track down the man she wants and she knows exactly who to go to; Hunter! The president of the Tomb Motorcycle Club, her past fling. Hunter has a big mouth and doesn't know when to stop talking, this only gets him into trouble. Krinos and Stefanos don't take mouthing off from anyone and are very protective each other.
“You see now, my Kalon, all dealings are with me,” He informs me, looking down at his patch that states President.
Don’t fucking call me that anymore Hunter.” I growl.
“Oh my, haven’t we become a little spitfire?”
Krinos is out for revenge, she wants blood. Hunter is the one person she knows that can get her the information she needs on her target, in exchange for something he needs...
Going against many warnings that it will not end well, she knows exactly what she needs to do. After meeting with Roberto to discuss business and to get what she needs for Hunter, Roberto gives warning to her, making sure she knows that her revenge is not wise.
“Obviously, my revenge will work out just fine, Roberto. I’ve been through hell and back and I’m still here, bitch and all.”
After their meeting, Krinos seeks out Stephanos, who seems to be a little occupied by a tattooed, blonde and barely clothed woman. Little does Krinos know, Carmen is going to change her life.
Without giving too much away, we loved this book, only wishing it was longer and that book 3 was waiting for us to pick up straight away. Another fantastic read from T.L. Smith.

And it just keeps getting better----
Kalon is part 2 in the Take Over Series. And as much as I enjoyed Krinos, Kalon was even better. I found myself wanting to cry when I finished the last page because I really need to know what happens next.
Krinos is back with a vengeance. She is kicking butt and taking names, all while wearing her favorite stilettos. She is rapidly becoming one of my favorite heroines, and I find myself wanting to be her when I grow up.
Krinos is taking over her fathers Drug Empire, and as she is trying to make her way in a male dominated Mafia, she somehow manages to maintain her femininity. I LOVE this about her. She isn't afraid she will break a nail, and jumps in with both feet. Don't want to listen to what she says? No problem, hope you didn't value your life. Want to question the choices that she is making? Again, no problem, you just got demoted, to 6 feet under.
Stephanos-- mmmmm....he is just lush!!!! But, in the 1st installment I found myself really wishing he would "man up" a little more. I needed him to be a bit more alpha and not take so much crap from Krinos. In this installment he came charging through. And I LOVED it! By the end of the book, I was panting after him wishing he would show up with guns blazing, to my front door and take charge. He has found his voice with Krinos and is finally taking over and doing what any good alpha male should do---which is what ever he damn well pleases.
The only down side to this, is that right as everything gets going, you're left hanging until the next installment.... I really really need to know what happens... and Im really hoping Krinos makes the right decision. No, Im not going to tell you what she is trying to decide... but, I will tell you I was surprised with the curves in the road that author took us through...

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
WOW HOLY SMOKING HOT I just finish reading this book, and Wow just wow love it, love the characters, and now I cant wait to read the next book in this series, I am so hook on this series, I did not wanted to finish reading this book, I want more, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
The story continue with Krinos and Stefanos, Krinos is left off where her father is in the hospital, and she is looking for the man who tried to kill her father, the story picks up three weeks after her father got shot, and her mother show up, now she is being at the hospital not living his side, all she is waiting for is for Stefanos to come back, when he shows up they get straight to business, meeting up with a Hunter, now Hunter is the president of his MC, and the person who had feelings for Krinos, his the one that call her Kalon, and Stefanos is not happy with that, Krinos and Hunter had something going two years ago, now that they are about to do business she agree with him, under one condition for him to find the man that tried to kill her father, hunter agree with it, will she find the man.
Let me tell you I love the characters of Hunter love is attitude, and their is also a new character that when you find out you will be shock, and the ending come on really how long do I have to way, that was a total surprise right there.
I read this book in one day, I couldn't put the book down at all, I love Krinos she I love her Bad Ass Bitch Attitude, which remind me of my attitude, I love how Krinos and Stefanos are with each other, love it how Hot and Sexy they are together, and the sex scene are hot, I just love this book, Author T.L. WOW HOLY SMOKING HOT I just finish reading this book, and Wow just wow love it, love the characters, and now I cant wait to read the next book in this series, I am so hook on this series, I did not wanted to finish reading this book, I want more, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
The story continue with Krinos and Stefanos, Krinos is left off where her father is in the hospital, and she is looking for the man who tried to kill her father, the story picks up three weeks after her father got shot, and her mother show up, now she is being at the hospital not living his side, all she is waiting for is for Stefanos to come back, when he shows up they get straight to business, meeting up with a Hunter, now Hunter is the president of his MC, and the person who had feelings for Krinos, his the one that call her Kalon, and Stefanos is not happy with that, Krinos and Hunter had something going two years ago, now that they are about to do business she agree with him, under one condition for him to find the man that tried to kill her father, hunter agree with it, will she find the man.
Let me tell you I love the characters of Hunter love is attitude, and their is also a new character that when you find out you will be shock, and the ending come on really how long do I have to way, that was a total surprise right there.
I read this book in one day, I couldn't put the book down at all, I love Krinos she I love her Bad Ass Bitch Attitude, which remind me of my attitude, I love how Krinos and Stefanos are with each other, love it how Hot and Sexy they are together, and the sex scene are hot, I just love this book, Author T.L. Smith THANK YOU for this Awesome series and this Amazing characters, love it please don't make me wait to long for the third book ;)

This series totally took me by surprise. I have to say for such a fast paced story, T.L. Smith did an AMAZING job putting so much action into each book. I was HOOKED from the start and could NOT put them down until I was done.
Eliza (aka Krinos) is being groomed to take over her father’s business. Being an only child and idolizing her father, this is exactly what she’s lived her life for. This chick kicks ass and looks sexy as hell doing it. Then from the mythical Mt Olympus falls a Sexy as Hell Greek God… Stephanos. The sex between these two is carnal from the very beginning and gets steamier as it goes. On top of her newfound physical activities with Stephanos, she’s on a mission of retaliation and revenge that shows everyone, she’s not to be messed with. She proves that a woman can be just as fearsome and ruthless as a man.
Kalon picks up immediately where Krinos left off. Krinos plans seeks revenge and will stop at nothing to get it. With the help of her new hottie…Stephanos, they search the town for their target and make plans to take him out slowly and painfully. On top of that, a few secrets and surprises come up throwing Krinos for a loop and giving her more to deal with.
This is a GREAT series and I CANNOT wait for the next part of the story. Kudos to you T.L. for such an action packed and super sexy read. TWO thumbs up and 5 Naughty Stars for this book!!!

T L Smith...you have got to be kidding me?!! The ending!!! Bloody hate cliffys!!
Following on from the first book nicely where Krinos is out for revenge.
The things that woman does with a knife makes me cross my legs!! She stabbed him in the....in the.....OMFG I can't even type it nor say it!! Lets just say, there would be no knives in any room me and her shared!! (I bet female readers cheered when she did that!)
The action happened so fast in this very short book, that I reckon if I'd held my breath in chapter one, I'd still be holding it at the end....before screaming at that very naughty ending!!! I haven't checked when the next part comes out, but I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long.
I'm fully invested in these characters. Two people coming together who are at the top of their game. They ooze power, they sweat menace, they are out for revenge and people should be scared!
T L Smith really is a very talented author to produce brilliant characters who you can side with and, despite the violence they do, you want them to carry on!
Is it gratuitous? Nope, not at all. The violence is integral to the story. Is it sexy? Damn right it is!!
First class book! Now just hurry up and bring out the next one!!!

Great second book in the Take Over Series ...
Kalon, is the second book in the Take Over series. It continues where the first book finished and is the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God.
Krinos, is a tough woman, very tough and she really shines through in this portion of the story. We are introduced to a number of new characters, which all add to the intrigue of the story line. It also shows a softer side to Krinos, although she would hate for me to say that.
Who wouldn't love Stefanos? He really is a Greek God in all ways. He's definitely one of my current book boyfriends. Just love his dominant and demanding ways.
This is a very quick read, but I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment. I give this book five stars.

Just when you think it was bloody awesome the next part in the series comes out and makes it a million times better!
Kalon is the second in the Take Over series and you will need to read Krinos first.
Krinos is just simply out for revenge in this book and by god she does it well...Men beware you will shudder at what this girl does!! Lol
People from Krinos' past enter in this installment and it makes for a good character enhancer...you learn more about her life.
Her relationship develops more deeply with Stefanos and its warming to see this side of Krinos.
The ending left me shouting at my kindle......noooooooo!!!!

This is part two of the story. Kronos story! She's the daughter of a drug lord. She's strong, sassy and knows what she wants. I love the battle of wills between Kronos and Stefano. Both are strong and independent.
Good continuation of the story. I really hope we don't have to wait for the next part of the story.

This smoothly transitions into the undertakings of Krinos (Eliza) as she assumes a more active role within the family business and develops enemies resistant to a female in a male-dominated business.
She meets Carmen, secrets are revealed and she discovers a half-sister. There were great moments of humour with Carmen. Her old buddy with benefits, Hunter resurfaces and on meeting Hunter, “You’ve got to be kidding me? Him too? Blank, Eliza, you can’t have them all. You know Sharing is caring” was bloody funny.
This second instalment is an excellent continuation of their storyline. Her father remains in a coma, her Mum returns...and Krinos is set on revenge.

This book picks up exactly where Krinos left off. We are in another nail biting suspense to find out if our two sexy drug dealing – gangsters are going to make it. What a ride they take us on. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire book. I could not put it down and low and behold we are left with another huge cliff hanger. But all books are out now so pick up all three to get the entire story.
Stefanos is one of my new hot book boyfriends. He is the ultimate bad boy. I love his fierce loyalty to those he loves. He is a lover and a fighter. Krinos is fighting for her father’s empire. Krinos has not been accepted by the general population of gangsters because she is a woman. Women can run multimillion-dollar corporations now why can’t they run the mob? Krinos takes her work seriously and works very hard. She is still teetering on her feelings for Stefanos. He wants every part of her soul. Will she give her all like he wants? Read it to find out.
There are several great surprises in this book. Some are the great – good and a few moments are the great – terrifying type. We have a lot of emotions in this story. Hunter an ex-boyfriend of Krinos’ (who he calls Kalon) comes into the story and so does a long lost relative. I really liked Hunter and I want him to have a Happy Ending. This mixes up the story line (in a good way). I still felt I need a little more of the details. It was so quickly paced I was afraid I was going to miss something.
The flow of the book was great. Ms Smith’s writing kept me on the edge of my seat and left me out of breath. The sex in the book was just as hot as the first and the love story was as intense. Stefanos will make you swoon so be prepared.
I would highly recommend this book, as well as, the other books in the series.

We pick up where we left off in Krinos , her father is still in a coma , she is after revenge and Stefanos is right by her side , giving her his all and worshipping the ground she walks on. Now we have a few new characters come into play , someone from Eliza's past that sets Stefanos on alert and also someone else from her past that she never knew of...

Krinos may mess with the wrong people but she has no fear , she is not one to be underestimated. Stefanos has some major revelations in this book which make the sex that much better !! You have to read Krinos in order to understand this book.
If you read Krinos, you know there was major incident with her father and now there is war between Krinos and Alberto. We meet new characters as well as a past love interest of Krinos who doesn't really seemed to get that their relationship is over, Stefanos was NOT pleased. We also get surprising reveal that alters Krinos' life by adding an annoying sidekick that has no boundaries and has plans to stick around.
I did love seeing Krinos' parents get back together whether permantely or only for that moment it was beautiful.
I hate to admit I did like Hunter; but he such a jerk at times, not to mention the games he played with Carmen.
Also I must warn there is a cliffhanger ending and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for Krinos and Stefanos, especially when Stefanos learns what happened to his Princess.

Ciąg dalszy opowieści o Krinos. Po próbie zabójstwa ojca Krinos ona przejmuje jego interesy. Tak więc po zabiciu syna Alberto przeszedł czas zemsty na samym bossie. Pomaga jej w tym były facet Hunter, co oczywiście wywołuje u Stefano mega zazdrość. Dodatkowo pojawia się nieślubna córka jej ojca, która jest równie temperamentna jak jej siostra "zbójniczka". I tak przechodzimy przez całość książki, żeby na sam koniec otrzymać interesującego newsa i być świadkiem dramatycznych wydarzeń.
Ta część trochę mniej mi się podobała, ale zakończenie rekompensuje całość książki.

I enjoyed seeing Stefanos' and Krinos' relationship evolve. Stefanos definitely steps up more in this part of the story, which made me very happy. The addition of a couple new characters adds a few interesting twists to the story. I love that Krinos isn't afraid to get what she wants - and if you're in her way, she'll knock you out of it. This just gets more intense as she takes over more of her father's business. Can't wait to continue the story!

This was better than the first. It was still a little hard to follow at first, but other than that it was good. Krinos is still a hard ass that is taking revenge from her father being shoot. Stefano loves the ground she walks on. Krinos doesn't show her emotional I didn't think that she even cared for Stefano. She just has her own way of showing it. The drama keeps getting better. Its not too much, it just adds to the story. Next book here I come!!
