I know a bunch of you have been asking exactly you the heck I am. First off, my name is Whiskey Flowers, I was active duty army and now I am a proud member of the New Mexico National Guard. In my day job, I am a corrections officer, I watch the best and brightest Albuquerque has to offer and make little money doing it. I am originally from Oakland, California, home of dumbasses and knuckleheads everywhere where I attempted to become their leader until the army put me on a different path. As many of you have pointed out, I never got my high school diploma, I am a GED student but I make it look good. If any of you are ever in New Mexico and want a drinking partner, I got you.
I didn't know that you had written book 2 when I wrote my other review, pleasantly surprised. ☺. Now I am left hanging again, (Wizard Born, the gifted, etc) lol I am enjoying this story line, (we have to get those goblins) lol Keep writing so I can keep reading, and thank you for your service. I'm army myself, heavy equipment operator, TX and Panama, 1972 to 1975. Take care Whiskey Sincerely, Rick A Shiverdecker
Overall this is a decent series so far. The story follows a young man who is late to bloom into his power. In a society built around the strong he is made to feel unwelcome by most people. Then power comes and he gets recognized by others, but to him it is too late to care about their acknowledgement. Decent story but a lot of unfinished or vaguely completed arches. A worthy read to pass time
Unlike the rpg game books these protagonists are both normal and yet heroic and they make you root for them until the book ends and you are left wanting more. Mr flowers is a much better writer than he gets credit for. He is better than Michael Anderle. And I like many of his books.
Adventure. This was very fast paced the MC was a superhero. No romance or any horrible fluff that is always in some other authors books. That's a plus. Hope the author has a third but well. I guess that's the point. Some minor grammar errors with just a word that needs replaced.
Book 2 was a fun read and had errors throughout. This book was interesting and the plot and characters grow a lot. The book does end on a cliffhanger and hopefully the author will write more. Sometimes there is so much information and back and forth with characters, it seems like a lot. Otherwise, it was a fun book.
I have read most of whiskeys books. I really enjoy his story’s Sorry to hear that you were under the weather and glad to hear that you’re doing better. All of the stories have good morals in them I enjoy reading about the underdogs and all of his stories has the underdog in them. Thank you for your imagination Wendy
This was a great follow to the 1st book. I am hopeful for a third or more since I believe this is a great series. It has created a wonderful reading time. I thoroughly enjoyed characters setting and continued storyline. A sincere thank you for your writing.
I have been a fan of whiskey flowers for years, I have read all of his books many times, his way of writing and how his characters are so easy to show emotions that spur the reader to keep waiting for the next explosion of action, is just great. Whiskey, keep going pal, and I’ll keep buying your books. One of your older fans at 73, cheers
This follow on is even better than the first book. A good plot and story similar to others by the author. Set up for a 3rd book looking forward to reading it.
Spell check was run but you really have to proofread for errors. Epilogue is non-existent and we really could have done without the last12% or so of the book. Mostly talking and a setup for the next book.
Some of the plot in this was obviously just to create extra conflict and didn’t make much sense. “Hey, you know that awesome dude who helped us out a lot and really likes to hold a grudge? Let’s mess with him! It’s gonna go great.”
Crucible now that’s what I call good writing. I read book1 yesterday and this book 2 today and can’t wait for book 3 I hope you write it soon . I’ve read every boo you have written and appreciate your struggles.please keep up the good work 👍🏻
Always a good read. The mc continues to grow stronger and the story does not lag or slow down at all which I'm thankful for. Can't stand stories that get bogged down. You never have to worry about that with Whiskey.
Not as good as the previous installments of the series. Was hoping for a softening of the attitude of the main character. That part is a bit much continuously. Overall good, quick read.
One thing that Whiskey is good at is keeping the story line straight. From book to book the characters remain true to who they are. Another great book. Thanks Whiskey
A good novel. It is a good storyline, but too much emphasis on the problem between father and son. Also, the hero never suffers an injury. Make some a little less relatable. I do want to read book 3 if it comes out. Definitely worth the read.
Must have used a very poor A I as so many words are of wrong verbiage. Almost every page has an incorrect context. Also too much family problems versus action.
Another great book and series, It has everything you come to expect from a Whisky Flowers book a good story great characters and fast paced. I can't wait for book 3.
I have read many of your books and have enjoyed all of them. I look forward to the next installment. Thank you for many wonderful hours of entertainment.
