In a Kingdom ruled by castes, Tyler is thought to be of the Highest caste, the Divine. The Divine are the strongest caste, able to cast magic and do many other things that the others cannot. Tyler has always known that he doesn't fit in, a lesson told to him many times by his father. Tyler, is shunned by his father and scorned by society, discovers his true power as a member of another caste, the Warbound. When war explodes, Tyler seizes the opportunity to prove his worth. Armed with a powerful new weapon and unmatched battle skills, he becomes a force to be reckoned with.

Betrayal, vengeance, and the unbreakable bond of family intertwine as Tyler confronts his enemies, his past, and his destiny. This epic fantasy novel will grip you with its heart-pounding action, breathtaking magic, and unforgettable characters.

Don't miss this thrilling tale of a hero's journey against impossible odds!

What a load of crap if you made it this far. I suck at descriptions and I hate writing them. A.I. wrote this for me. I suppose it is a great description but a bit too wordy for me. Anyway, enjoy!

I know a bunch of you have been asking exactly you the heck I am. First off, my name is Whiskey Flowers, I was active duty army and now I am a proud member of the New Mexico National Guard. In my day job, I am a corrections officer, I watch the best and brightest Albuquerque has to offer and make little money doing it. I am originally from Oakland, California, home of dumbasses and knuckleheads everywhere where I attempted to become their leader until the army put me on a different path. As many of you have pointed out, I never got my high school diploma, I am a GED student but I make it look good. If any of you are ever in New Mexico and want a drinking partner, I got you.

Juvenile

The plot is good, characters all right, but the behaviors are juvenile at best. The way characters behave is childish and unrealistic. Look at the Royal depicted; if the people in charge actually behaved like this towards their subjects there would be rebellion. Even in situations where such bigotry exists leaders just cannot go around saying the things being said so casually in this book. For example, the prince publicly attempting to get a subject he is jealous of killed in war time is ridiculous. Oh sure, plotting privately to do so occurs in all types of societies but to be blatant about it is just not realistic. Nobles will not support a spoiled tyrant for long. Additionally, a society where such outlandish endemic bigotry exists across all sectors couldn't sustain itself. Especially considering how often different so called castes produce castes other than themselves it makes no sense to have such deep societal prejudice. All the insults and belittling going on would cause feuds and Street wars.

Enjoyed the story

Really liked how the magic was developed in this world. I felt it was explained pretty well as much as it pertained to the main characters. What I couldn't get behind was the casual misogyny in the caste system. And sure the different caste's are easy to differentiate by features. But to always bring it up gets really old. And to have a supposedly liberal protagonist who can sometimes also be a misogynist is a huge turn off but I really wanted to Dee this character grow which he did somewhat. And it's not like he didn't have any trauma from before so I'm glad I finished but it was definitely hard when the MC dropped into old habits.

A Mixed Bag

While the storyline kept my interest, the repetitious nature of the arguments and dialogue between characters eroded some of the enjoyment I may have had. Additionally, the many typos, omissions in text, and wrong verbs tense was a constant distraction. Proof read! But my chief criticism was the use of constant bickering as a substitute for anything of real substance. It was like being back in middle school. Was the book meant to be read by kids?

Excellent character and world creates

This was a great book - characters and world created for them. I fully enjoyed the storyline and put it with the Thunder series as some of your best work. Of course I should say best work so far since I continue to be impressed by your varied stories and characters created. I wish you
good health, physical and mental and the best long life.

Another Great Read

Another fun read. Lots of interpersonal family contention to get your heart racing. Some great fight scenes, and interesting situations. Also, it was great to see a new book so soon after the big release not so long ago. Hope things are going well and your health is good.

Enjoyed most of his other books

This was a little hard to get through. Like most of the authors other books, the MC is a downtrodden person with an overly sharp tongue and a chip on his shoulder. This book seemed to take it to a new level and in the end, this made it difficult to read.

Always with the pit

Some great characters and different classes by separating the people by magic power and looks very nicely done has definite qualities with our classes and how money separates us. And how the suppression is real maybe I see the story strangely.

rollicking magical medieval adventure

Tyler is Everyman ever looked down and under estimated. Given an opportunity he not only becomes more than he was but also becomes a blend of unknown abilities mixed with raw melee prowess. Cant wait to read his next adventures.

Book 1

Book 1 had errors throughout and was a fun read. The plot and characters are developed well and can be confusing at times with all the information. The characters are likeable enough, but sometimes get annoying for being pompous.

Lacking in quality

This book was absolute rubbish. Appallingly written, no proper story. Full of nonsense about castes and written from the viewpoint of someone riddled with prejudice. It has nothing to recommend it whatsoever.

Entertaining but a hard read

Incorrect words are difficult to read.. Even the authors self description has you instead of who. Also reading names so closely related is cute but not so many for my liking.

Fun

Really enjoying this. This book has plenty of jump cuts. Where we end a scene (Cut) and the very next scene is a jump in time or space. Really need to break those up better.

This is probably the most fun book by this author I have read so far. Not really any caveats. The language can be a bit repetitive but it works.
