Hello, readers! I rarely visit this space, but if you’d like to connect, you can find me on my blog or social media, where I’m most active. Thank you for your support, and happy reading!
This was so sweet. I’m so happy that Claude found Tyrion. They had so much hatred to overcome and is was sweet seeing them get their happy ending but I was so disappointed with Sam and Valek. They both know the pain and struggle of being judged for things you had no hand in and for them to in turn do that and put Claude through that was so selfish.
As always Tessa Stone hits it out of the park. This story is a nice reprieve from the major heavy action going on in the series but it's also has a little bit of weight as it's own. Suffering through the idea of redemption and forgiveness, even grief, this little story that could does wonderful by showing more emotional layers with the damages from the shifter community's past. It rounds out the history in a way that pulls other threads into the tapestry. Tyrion was a sweet, smart, strong and solid mate for Claudia. I appreciated that she speaks to walking in her femininity and learning more about that aspect of herself because she wants to for herself and for no one else. I also appreciated how solid they were and the real conflict they both had to work through. I only had a couple of grumblings. Nothing major, but I disliked how Tyrion had to discard his name and his history. I didn't see that as very fair, and in the spirit of forgiveness, it bothered me. To raise the new Alpha of his very own pack to address the wrongs of his family's past would have been much more rewarding but Tessa Stone does what it do.
Claudia and Tyrion were so freaking cute! Both hopelessly waiting for their fated mates, and boy, did fate pull a fast one. Tyrion is a lone dragon because he’s the last descendant of the Stormborn 🐉. In the meantime, he teaches astronomy, and whew, did the stars truly align!
Claudia has had to live with nothing but mean and slowly watch all those men become fated. They’ve even shortened her name—but her man? He ain’t playing when it comes to his mate.
I loved seeing how the past and present collide, and the very person everyone seems to hate is the reason they even exist.
Don’t get me wrong I love a fated mate love story tbh. I guess cause the book is so short this felt rushed and everything just happened to happen, very cliche.
After reading the fated mate series, one of the things I wanted to see was female shifters having their time to shine so many books from the supernatural men perspective finding a mate. I love that both of them are supernatural. I would love to see more of that.
Love how Tobin and Nala keep showing up in the novels. I feel like I would have loved a book on Meekah, the lion shifters. He and his mate seem hilarious. I'm glad that Tiffany is doing well, but I hope she finds love. These books make it seem like all the women who are not fated are just screwed and have to deal with horrible men. There still has to be a few good men left.
I would love to see more interspecies mates. Like Jacob and Angie. Kade is supposed to unite all the different supernatural. I would love to see that happen more through interspecies matings.
I hope Damon gets a mate next. Or, going out there, we see a different species highlighted. Maybe the witches living in the community lands and how Angie is helping them since they left Glen Cove because they refused to give into dark magic. They deserve some love, too.
I was excited to read “Finding Claude” because I had been wondering how’d things be when a female shifter finds her fated mate. I wanted it to be with a male human, but Tyrion was cool or whatever lol.
Tyrion didn’t make me swoon like most of the other shifters did in their books, but I still liked him. Like the other shifters, Tyrion is very protective of his fated mate, but I think Tyrion is the most logical when it comes to thinking about his mate. Tyrion and Claude actually talked about the consequences of them officially claiming one another, and I really liked that.
The dynamic between Claude, Sam, and Valek could be clearly seen in this book. Claude is Sam’s and Valek’s baby sister, and they treated her just like it. “Finding Claude” is very much a Romeo-and-Juliet/forbidden love type of book which is a different vibe than the other books in the Wintermoon and Fated Mates series.
As for cameos, I’m happy my good sis, Tami, and Kane were finally able to get some kind of birth control 🤣 Tami told Kane way in the beginning she wanted some because she didn’t want to steadily be popping out babies and that’s exactly what Tami has been doing in nearly every book. We also get a funny cameo from Meekah and Amaya towards the end of the book, and sweet babies Torin and Nala quickly appear too.
What happens when fate gives you the one thing you’ve longed for but at a cost you never expected?
Finding Claude is now my favorite in this series. Claude, the only female dragon shifter in Ash Clan, cherishes her family, her medical clinic, and her community, but deep down, she longs for something more. Watching her brothers and other shifters in Wintermoon find their fated mates only intensifies that yearning. That all changes when she meets Tyrion, a lone dragon from a supposedly extinct clan, burdened by the sins of his clan
Their connection is instant, but their love is anything but easy. With her fiercely protective brothers standing in the way and Tyrion’s past haunting him, Claude must decide: stay loyal to the life she’s always known or risk everything for the mate fate chose for her.
This book is packed with tension, heartache, and a romance that burns as bright as the stars. If you love fated mates, forbidden love, and characters willing to defy the odds for each other, Finding Claude is a must-read!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Headed back to Wintermoon to check in with this short..
In this short we are reintroduced to Claude. As the only female dragon shifter in the Ash Clan she often times feels lonely, and like she has no individual identity. Blending in with the clan, adopting the tomboy persona blending in with those around her. That all changes when she catches the lavender sent of her mate during a trip to the city.
Everything she thinks she knows is questioned when Tyrions piercing blue eyes land on her. How is it possible another dragon exist outside of her world. Everything she loves is in jeopardy of being taking away from her with every step she takes towards him but walking away is not an option ..
In this story we learn if blood is stronger than fate..
What’s inside: 💚Virgin FMC 🐉Dragon Shifters 💙Family Drama ✨Black Excellence 🖤Paranormal Romance h I do not own these images they just match the vibe.
I truly enjoyed this short story. I am glad Tyrion was able to peace. That was a lot of weight to carry and I am glad it all worked in his favor. I’m really enjoying this series both of them. Baby the stamina all these sifters have got me looking for Wintermoon on map if to visit the Community Lands. I will say this although these stories are great it lil Torrin, Alpha of the House of Boker and is fated mate Nala for me. Their interlude into the story sets the record straight and shows the adults on how to get things done. I love me some Torrin and hope before the series end that he gets a side story all on his. Even if he already has his fated mate I would love to know how he grew up and took hold of his alpha title with his pack. Just saying. I wonder who what’s for Wintermoon.
I loved this fated love story! Both Claudia and Tyrion had so much to overcome, and it was disheartening for the longest time. They both were the most selfless shifters in their pursuit to help and teach. I was mostly disappointed in Claude’s brothers because they should have been more understanding knowing that it was a longing for the things that every other shifter was receiving. On top of their sister was the only girl until their mates came along. The brothers did what every other shifter did and judged them while they only were the ones helping. I loved how Tyrion was not backing down or leaving room for anyone to get in the way of their love. Even better he was stronger than her big ass dragon of a brother and alpha. The brothers and the rest of the supernatural’s were selfish when it came to this story. Tyrion became someone everyone needed without knowing it.
Finding Claude is the third of three shorts I would consider as sidebars to the main Wintermoon Series. Each book is about a minor character from the original series and their fated mate.
This book is about Claudia - the only female dragon shifter left after the war who actually appears in the third book of the main series. As the author explains in her blurb, there isn’t much added to the overarching plot of the main series - it mostly focuses on these fated mates meeting and claiming each other. Of the three shorts, this one gives the most new info about the war. It is nice to get a different perspective on the main conflict.
I love stories about tomboys and this didn't disappoint. Claudia (Claude) finding her mate and finally coming into her own as a woman was so great to see. He relationship with Tyrion was so sweet because they were able to help each other grow and found a way to overcome everything standing in their way. Also, him being kind of a nerd too just made him perfect for Claude.
The Dragon shifters are one of the most interesting part of the Wintermoon series. Just seeing how they are overcoming as a clan & how Wintermoon as a whole is moving forward is great. I will definitely be going to read the next book.
Tyrion & Claudia's way of mating was a little different than the others since they're both shifters. This was like Romeo & Juliet and it was unfortunate to be hated for something his family did. His way of mating was different and I kinda liked it because he wasn't forceful, he was gentle...until she left him. Man, once he got her back, he sexually let her know not to leave him again and he has this calmness about him that was actually terrifying enough to not challenge him. I am enjoying the different routes these shifters go to get & please their fated mates.
The narrative's initial tension, rooted in the complex historical conflicts among dragon shape shifters, initially challenged my engagement. However, the story's resilience and determination ultimately prevailed. The novel's unconventional opening captivated me, while its tender conclusion left a lasting impression. Brimming with passionate romance and unwavering narrative momentum, this book weaves an compelling tale that transcends its initial obstacles. A truly remarkable literary journey that seamlessly blends intrigue, emotion, and transformative storytelling. ReneeG
This series keeps getting better. Claude’s story wasn’t what I expected, it was better. This brings out so much about her you didn’t get in previous books. She meets her fated mate, swoon, lol. But instead of a happy pairing his lineage causes so much anger within the clan. I felt for Tyrion, he didn’t deserve it but I loved his strength. I would have loved to learn more about his dragons abilities, we only get a hint of it. And I know the shifters hurt but it’s been a thousand years! Great story
Every time I pick up a Tessa Stone book I get sucked back into Wintermoon so easily! I genuinely love this series so much, and being able to blow through an author’s books so quickly (finished in less than 24hrs) is the biggest compliment I can give! Claudia & Tyrion gave me all the feels & I’m sooo glad Valek got his ass whooped by Tyrion! He was definitely getting on my nerves, but I loved the way the story played out! It’s always nice to see past MCs intertwined in the new stories. Meekah is such a mood!
10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 👏🏽

I really did enjoy this story, and I enjoyed both Claude and Tyrion as characters. While Claude was formidable in her own right, Tyrion was so damn dominant that the two of them had no choice but to click. I also love that Tyrion is the first shifter to beat an alpha in a fight. Kane lost to Levi, Sam lost to Valek; Tristan hinted that he could beat his alpha but they never came to blows. Tyrion humbled Valek and that hurt his pride real bad, but, it was needed for him to allow Claud to be lead by her husband.
Tessa Stone has captivated me imaginations. This book had everything from controversy, to love, to loyalty but most of all showing that anything worth having is worth working for. But also showing that as much as change can sometimes be hard to do with all the customs and traditions that were previously set and taught as times goes on it’s ok to live and create your own and all you have to do is TRY.. Thanks Tessa for that reminder… You forever have me as one of your avid readers!!!!💜🥰
I ALWAYS enjoy a Wintermoon visit !!! In this book, Claudia gets her story !!! An unexpected meeting shows Stormscale dragon Tyrion that fate hadn't forgotten about him . Claudia is Dr Sam's sister. His and alpha brother Valeck 's Only sister. Matter of fact, she is the only female of Ash Clan. But it would be Way too easy to find a mate among her cousins ..... So, here we are !! Thus book has it all . Its funny, action packed, and full of why we read these books. LOVE. I truly love these books !!!
Even though Claudia and Tyrion are both dragon shifters, Tyrion is a taboo that has Claudia second guessing herself for a split second. However, Claudia just like Tyrion knew fate didn’t make any mistakes and their union was meant to be. A recurring theme I see is about forgiveness in all the books which is something you can apply to your daily life. Overall great read
This story had it all. Love, hate, generational prejudice against an entire whole race. It was hard for some people to overcome lifelong hatred and prejudice, but in the end common sense and love won out and it was the younger generation that made the difference and had the deciding vote. With that being said, maybe there’s hope for our world today.
I was very surprised to see another dragon shifter;I was looking forward to seeing a male human try to tame a literal dragon. This works though. Claude is to strong willed to submit to just anyone, nor should she have to. After centuries surrounded by men, she needed one strong enough to bend. I'm so glad she found it in Tyrion.
Oh, and the astronomy talk was hot! It reminded me of my husband's obsession with the stars and space!
Tessa is the queen of the paranormal world. Claude the only female in her Dragon clan found her mate, but he’s from an exiled clan. The way he loved her at first sight and didn't back down was a chef's kiss. Loved this installment in the World of Wintermoon.
Just as all the other books in this series finding Claude is the perfect mix of romance and plot! This books helps to tie in more information about the Great War. Happy to see that a shifter female found a mate this time! Excited to read more about their hatchling if they do get a bonus scene.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 Tessa stone knows how to write a book! 👏🏾👏🏾 this so sweet and swoony. I really enjoyed Claude story! So deserved her HEA and I loved seeing her feminine side without compromising who she is. Tyrion is so charming you instantly love his character.
Just know if Tessa Stone writes it I’m reading it and recommending it! 💖
Loved this Third installment of Wintermoon shorts Claudia and Tyrion are dragon mates but their road to happiness has some obstacles Valek the alpha of the Ash Clan hates him and what his family did to his The focus on forgiveness is important to the flow of the story and it’s ending Tessa did another great job writing this amazing story
Let me just say that I’m so happy for Claudia. Her brothers raised her well, but she deserved the same feeling of romantic love as the rest of them. I was very disappointed in Valek and Sam, but they redeemed themselves in the end. I’m happy that Tyrion finally has his one and a new family. It’s also so cute to see Torin and Nala.
Yasss Go Tyrion!! I was rooting for him and Claudia since it first showed him in the Planetarium. I love that they didn’t let anyone stop them from loving each other or backing down. They fought for eachother and won and that’s all we could ever ask for! Amazing!
I like how that a dragon his character was made for the only girl in the clan. I don't like how it just leaves the tension between claudia's brother and husband. I wish this would be better solved. My daughters are advid readers like me, so I recommend this whole series to them and their friends. Can't wait until the next book this month.
I read this book in one day 😪 well Alexa did. Buuttt it was really good. I am finally done with the winter moon series for now b/c I read them out of order but they all got read 🙂↔️ yes, fate does work in crazy ways But it all came together in the end as it should. I love a good happy ending.
