A Muse Inspired Love #3

Finding Her Muse

Rate this book
I thought I had found my Prince charming, my happily ever after. Turns out, the prince was a liar and happily ever after’s only exist in books; my books. Or at least they did until the writer’s block kicked in.
Mary is a mother of a beautiful little girl. As an accomplished indie author with a major block, she’s feeling the pressure from her editor and fans to put out another book. She has to find someone, something, to inspire her and get her out of this funk. She wasn’t looking for romance. Especially not from someone so young, but if she was taught anything growing up, it was that age is just a number.
Landon is completely lost after just losing his only living relative, his Grandmother. All in the middle of getting his degree. He knows he needs to finish, for himself, and to make his Grandmother proud, but what about after? An unexpected gift left behind by his grandmother gives him the chance of following his dream and opening an art studio. A night out with his friend turns into a whole lot more than he ever could have expected.
One night, too many drinks and a need to be wanted pull Mary and Landon together for a ride neither one of them are sure they are ready for.

Simply Amazing!!! This is the third installment n the Muse Series and it just keeps getting better and hotter!! The main characters, Mary and Landon, are well developed and it's just so easy to get lost in their story. There are so many elements to these two people in this story: Love, heartbreak, learning to be a single parent, losing loved ones, and being with someone who is younger, especially when it's the man who is younger!! It's the old taboo, it's accepted in society when the woman is younger than the man but a woman dating a younger man? Heads and eyes will roll! This book handles all of those issues and so much more with grace and compassion. You will root for this steamy pair until the very end. L. Mertz is really coming into her own as a writer. I can hardly wait for book 4 in the series.

Mary, Mary- she really is quite contrary. For some reason, Mary just seemed to bring a bit too much of her own pain to her life, I felt. This is the only book in the series that I didn't fully connect with. I loved Landon- he was amazing. He knew what he wanted, and he went after it. He did everything that he could to keep Mary from letting her own hangups keep her from happiness, but man did he have a struggle on his hands. I really felt like I needed to shake her, and make her just get out of her own way. I understood that she had quite the crappy hand dealt to her, and she was doing a fantastic job as a single mom. That being said- she wasn't dead. She wasn't ancient. She was a lively, vibrant, young woman- that obviously, needed Landon in her life.

Her daughter was precious. I wanted to just eat her with a spoon for how smart she was for her age. Mary's ex however, he needed to be throttled good and hard. A classic case of "I don't want to play with my toys, until someone else wants to"...... Who does that, and thinks that it's going to actually work?

I was thrilled when Mary finally got her head out, and took her life into her own hands- finally grasping what she really wanted.

Add in, plenty of Jackson and Syn- and I was okay with the way everything turned out. 4 stars for this one!!

I received this book free in exchange for my honest review.

Finding her Muse by L. Mertz is the third in the Muse series but can be read alone. Mary is a soon to be divorced, single mother. She is a writer with a major case of writers block. Mary is also in need of a "girls night out", this is when she meets Landon. Spending time with Landon, even if it is when he is coaching her daughters team, he seems to inspire Mary. Landon knows from the moment he meets Mary that she is the one, even if she is a few years older than him. Landon now makes it is mission to show Mary how much she means to him. The way the story is written had me falling in love with them. It is good to see a book where the lead female is a few years older than the lead male. This is a quick, easy read. I would recommend this book.

This is the third book in the muse inspired series, and it just keeps getting better and better!! I loved Jackson and syn but I must admit that I love Landon and Mary just that little bit more, but i love the fact that we still have jackson and syn in this book! :)
This story grasped me from the very first page and was a constant enjoyable page turner, With a different and refreshing story, it's was a story that I couldn't put down and wanted to get to the end to know how Landon and Mary end up, but was gutted when the book finished! I definitely recommend this book and can't wait to read more from this up and coming author!!

Although this is book three in the Muse Inspired Love Series it can be read as a standalone. A bit frazzled and ready to get on with her divorce and her life Mary finds herself falling for handsome soccer coach Landon. Landon a struggling artist and college student is trying to finish up getting his degree so his grandmother wold be proud. Although Landon is a bit younger than Mary he makes her feel whole again and she starts putting her words down for her next novel. Who new when you close one chapter of your life another one opens up for you. A sweet sexy read. I look forward to going back and reading the rest of this series.

Loved this story. Mary is such a sweet woman with a creep for an ex-husband. In comes this young, gorgeous assistant soccer coach and she is sunk. Landon lives simply. In his grandmother's home whom he just lost, he finds Mary and feels an instant connection. The sparks fly immediately and they are off and running headlong into forever. In comes someone to break their connection and things get lost. We get to see Synclaire and Jackson again which is awesome! I read this in less than an evening because I just couldn't walk away from it. Line Drive, Leanne!!

Love this. An older woman and a younger man. I so enjoy that L. Metz is bringing us stories that we don't normally get to see.
Mary and Landon are an amazing couple. Neither are looking but both are needing something. It's wonderful reading about this circle of friends that support each other through it all. These books were great reads.
