A pretty quick read. I didn’t find it well written. Not badly written either. It just didn’t excite me. It was quite interesting and informative though. I am planning on reading three books on the difference between Judaism and Christianity, and this is the first one. It is very pro-Judaism, so prepare for that.
" Judaism's refusal to worship Jesus is therefore not only due to its repudiation of the doctrine of incarnation, the belief that God became a person, but equally to its defiant resistance to all and any attempts of according divine qualities and honors to mere mortals. " p. 24
Useful distinctions. Christianity seems pretty ascetic, anti-social, and miracles-driven compared to Judaism. A good foundation to learn more about Judaism coming from a cultural Christian perspective.
