Thoroughly enjoyed reading this fantastic romp! Mia's family is very wealthy, her father owns a big shipping business. But after 5 of his ships have been destroyed and they are in huge financial ruin. He makes a deal with a rich businessman that previously lived in their town but moved further west and runs a big ranch to marry Mia and help them financially. Of course, Mia has no say-so in the matter, and neither does the groom to be, Ethan. Ethan's dad sends a stagecoach for Mia to bring her west. Mia's best friend has also decided to move with her. Unknown to him, Ethan has decided to sneak onboard and ride under his middle name, Jeremiah. Ethan and Mia went to school together when they were young, and they did not get along. He wants to know what she's like now. And the game begins! Quite an exciting book, great characters, with lots of surprises along the way. Very entertaining!
