Allen Strange is excited about tagging along with Robbie and Josh on a trip to San Diego. Even the ride down is amazing -- they don't have trains back on Xela, Allen's home planet. But while they're sight-seeing, Allen senses some weird energy waves, almost like the detonation frequency for a Trykloid dark energy bomb. Allen and Josh soon find the signal's source, and discover it's linked to a shipment of torpedoes that sank in the San Diego Bay during World War II -- torpedoes that are now active
Time is running out, but Allen can't diffuse the torpedoes without absorbing their energy himself. And not even a Xelan can contain that much power without risking his life.
So which will it be? The end of a major metropolis?
