Bottled Hope and Old Feelings
This book was such a lovely blend of comfort and tension — wine, small-town history, and two people who already care about each other being pushed into something more.
Saffron is trying to save her family’s winery with one last, almost mythical Christmas wine, and Snapper steps in at exactly the right moment… even if he thinks he’s just doing her a quick favor. What starts as a practical agreement turns into late-night research, old secrets, and the slow realization that the person you trust most might also be the one you’re falling for.
I really loved the friends-to-lovers energy here. There’s no insta-lust — just warmth, shared history, and that quiet ache of we already matter to each other, so what happens if we cross that line? Snapper’s steady loyalty and Saffron’s fierce love for her family and her winery made them easy to root for, both individually and together.
The mystery around the missing wine formula adds just the right amount of momentum. It gives the story purpose beyond the romance, and the spiteful rival adds a layer of emotional tension that kept me turning pages. I liked that the stakes weren’t just financial — this was about legacy, pride, and whether Saffron’s past and future could finally come together.

Let's go back to wine country. This is another book in Heather Slade's Wicked Wine maker series. This is the second label, or the second group of guys who find themselves on the auction block as an eligible bachelor Alex's (Avila) Butler's wildly popular charity event. Snapper can't escape his sister as much as he'd like to. However he has a deal with his childhood friend and think girl next door, Saffron Hope. She outbids anyone else, and he pays the tab. He always promises her a favor, which she has never collected. Until this year.
Saffron Hope's last hope (pun intended) to save the family winery is calling in all of her favors with Snapper. However with all that close proximity they are forced to confront the feelings they have had for years toward the other, with the assumption the other person didn't feel the same way.
I really liked the comfort of the romance in this book, it wraps around you like a fuzzy soft blanket. My only disappointment was it wasn't a cross over novel with the Cowboys of the Crested Butte, since Snapper and his brother Kick have been on the rodeo circuit for years as team ropers. But that's just the wishes of this former team roper, who *sigh* gave up the roping pen for a steady pay check.
The bread crumbs for Kick's story were dropped in this novel. I'm curious to see what happens.

OHHH This book!!!! This story!!! A DEFINITE MUST READ!
I have been reading Heather Slade's books since 2019 and I cannot pick a favorite because I love them all. The characters feel like old friends to me.
Snapper's Seduction is the 4th book in the Wicked Winemakers Second Label series and it was soooo good. It is a book, that to me, shows how strong and resilient some people are. Snapper, the MMC, is a very strong character. He knows what he is doing, what has to be done, and he knows how to go about doing it.
The MFC is Saffron (love the name) and she is a definite match for Snapper... although she doesn't know if she should trust her instincts, or trust the words of others. Snapper of course helps out with this.
This book had me looking up things about winemaking, and about feelings, betrayal, and the strength of character in most people. Such a wonderful book!!!

It's so great going back to California's coastal wine region again. Snapper's Seduction interweaves the themes of family, loyalty, the holiday season and a love that long ago grew out of a friendship. It's about remembering the importance of those we care about, both family and of bond, matter more than material things. Snapper and Saffron have always been as thick as thieves from their early childhoods. Yet, they've both been reluctant to share their true feelings with one another. It takes her asking for a tremendous favor of him to finally start tearing down the "what if" walls between them. They become partners in an a make or break endeavor. I rooted for them every single step of the way. Many of your favorites from the Wicked Winemakers First and Second Labels series are present and enhance an already remarkable story.

The newest book in the Wicked Winemakers is here. Snapper’s story was worth the wait. It’s full of heart and loyalty. Snapper and Saffron have been in the friends zone since school. Each hiding what they really feel. When Saffron is in trouble she turns to Salazar for help. Salazar knows if he’s ever going to take the chance of a lifetime it’s now.
As he helps her can she get past her fears and see that he is here to stay. That his words are real. Will she be able to believe in them before it’s too late.
If you have not started this series or read one of Heather’s books this is really the place to start. Their story is full of all the feels that we readers look for in a story that we will remember and reread again and again.

I adored this friends-to-lovers romance!
Snapper and Saffron have been friends forever, having grown up in the same community, but neither one wants to take a chance on their growing attraction. Until Saffron discovers a problem that can only be solved by working together with Snapper's family to recreate a legendary single batch of wine from seventy years ago.
Snapper is fully on board with helping Saffron in whatever way she'll let him, so the two of them start to research their respective family archives to gather all the necessary instructions to make this wine, not realizing that it's going to take a cooperative effort from everyone in their community, even the one person who they'd both like to avoid contact with.
This was such a lovely, relaxed-pace love story, building a quiet, friends-forever love and giving us an intimate sideline experience of creating a very special wine. I loved that all the drama was centered on their families' history, and how this project spanned multiple generations while demonstrating the importance of working together.
Snapper and Saffron are just so perfect together, once they allowed themselves to pursue their relationship. The ending was exquisite, with a beautiful Christmas morning scene that was so very romantic. I loved this addition to the Wicked Winemakers series and I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys contemporary romances.

Snapper and Saffron have been best friends since they were children. Both have loved each other for years but were to stubborn to recognize it and address it. Saffron is devastated when she finds out her family may lose their winery. She has a crazy idea but needs Snapper's help to pull it off. This year at the annual Wine Makers Ball, Saffron will bid on Snapper but will actually call in the favor he owes her. Multiple families end up working together to save Saffron's family winery. Throw in secrets, old rivalries, jealousy and you have a book that will keep you reading until the end. Love the Los Cabelleros and all the past characters.

I really enjoyed reading Snapper's Seduction . Snapper and Saffron have loved each other since they were young , both being afraid to ever tell each other in case it would ruin their friendship . When Saffron bids on Snapper at the bachelor auction like every year . She decides to call in her favors she never collected on . Snapper has decided he's ready to make his move . Saffron needs his help with saving her family's orchard and home as they work together things heat up . Now only if he can convince Saffron to trust him and take the chance on their love . This story is a perfect Christmas romance . It's a beautiful emotional romance . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

A Christmas story that shows the true meaning of Christmas wishes. It's time for the Wicked Winemaker's ball that includes the bachelor auction. Salazar "Snapper" Avila and Saffron Hope have a system down that allows Saffron to outbid any others for a favor. She never asked him for anything, but this year the favor will be called in. Their attraction has been evident to everyone but themselves. While working on the favor, they begin to act on the attraction. However, trust becomes an issue. Can Snapper gain Saffron's trust? Can they get their HEA? This is another great book from Heather Slade.

Now adults, Saffron stumbles onto information that her family's winery is in deep trouble, and she knows what it would take to keep it out of foreclosure: recreating the perfect wine. With the help of Snapper and his family, they have a shot at doing just that. It will take nerves of steel, hard work and a lot of luck to make it happen.
Heather Slade continues to wow this reader with fresh ideas, great characters and crisp writing. As always, I look forward to the next book in this series!

At a bachelor auction, Snapper asks wine producer Saffron to bid on him, and in return she asks for a favour.
I liked the different setting of this book in a winery situation. Snapper and Saffron work together but not initially, though when they discover the family mystery with secrets and betrayals, they need to join forces.
I liked the chemistry they had. Slow burn but sizzling soon after. I also liked the team they made to get to their goal.
So well done. This author's writing style is enjoy reading and the plot was compelling. Fantastic book!!

Snappers Seduction reminds me why I love Ms Slade’s Wicked Winemaker’s series! Saffron ‘buys’ Snapper during the bachelor auction, as she does every year, allowing Saffron to request a huge favor in return from Snapper. Saffron Hope and Salazar ‘Snapper’ Avila, friends since childhood, have danced around one another for years staying in the friend zone, but Saffron’s secret and request push Snapper to move forward toward something more. Well written with lots of heart, intrigue, and secrets coming to light. A great read!

One Recipe - Three houses - Two that would do whatever it took to save a family home. This book tells of how a group of women from the 1950's made a creation like no other, and one of them didn't want to continue the production of it - at the time. Now, 70 years later, can their great-grandchildren recreate it to save a home - find out in Snappers Seduction. This book was the right kind of Christmas love and the right setting for its release. I loved this book!

Snappers Seduction is such a beautifully written book!! Heather once again out did herself. This is the 4th book in the second winemaker series and man just kept my attention from the FIRST page. Literally Snapper and Saffron from the beginning are burning with love for each other from years of waiting with no clue how where to start or if they even can. Theres suspense, romance, spice, passion, love for family, its just fantastic seriously you have to read it!!

Saffron and Snappers story is a wonderful feel good read. From growing up together to finally admitting to each other there is so much more to their relationship you can’t put this book down. Great page turner as they work this all out to find the HEA. Phenomenal series and this latest addition doesn’t disappoint!

Seduction was 100% accurate for how I felt about this book. A tantalizing mixture of mystery, drama, romance and emotion provides an enticing base for Snapper and Saffron's romance to be built off of and together they create a well-balanced read that has you experiencing the sharp edge of tension as well as delivering some serious heart melting.

Loved this story. Love this town and how they stick together. Best friends who turn in to so much more. Love the moral of the story, dont want to give it away, but has a lot of meaning. Highly recommend this book to others.

I absolutely loved Snapper (Salazar) & Saffron's story, and so will you. They both finally admit that they love each other, and save the Hope winery. While I uniting the families after 70 years while making an amazing wine. Thanks, Heather for writing another amazing story.

I love this series. Snapper and Saffron’s story was a great addition to this family. Love the drama, the secrets and all the fun along the way. I would really lie to know how they all got their nicknames, though. A fantastic read!!

Snapper's Seduction is the 4th bopk in the series, but can easily be read as a standalone. Snapper and Saffron's story is a wonderfully sweet and romantic best friends to lovers romance with a touch of intrigue and a lot of Christmas spirit. The HEA brought tears to my eyes!

Heather Slade’s writing just gets better and better like a fine aged wine. In Snapper, we dive back to wine country as Snapper returns from the rodeo circuit for the annual Wine Bachelor Auction. What started out as a friend consistently bidding on him so he didn’t have to fulfill his date obligation, quickly transforms into a desperate spark of hope for Saffron. This year she’s turning in her building favors to save her family’s winery with the legendary Christmas Wine. This was the Perfect read for the holiday season. It was light and sweet but still held the same suspense and twists known to Slade’s writing. It married my favorite author with a Hallmark holiday love story but instead of hot cocoa, you’ll want a glass of wine. Can’t wait to see what Kick’s book takes us in the next chapter of this series!
