Hookayyy I could not put this one down. Spicy, feral, and possessive are some of my favorite romance descriptors, and all of them apply here 😮💨 I absolutely adored the way that Elodie grew into her own, and the way that Jaeger absolutely doted on her. Also: where can I get a pair of those crutches? Asking for a friend… 🤣 don’t sleep on this one. Or maybe sleep before you pick it up, because you might lose sleep if you start this one before bed!

Короче був справжнім чоловіком.
Дізнавшись про "Fraternitas" і їхні методи, розумієш, що це темне, небезпечне братство.
У них свої правила, свої місії. Їх братство повязане з темою релігії.
Також були і інші персонажі, які зацікавили...
Кайзер - брат Джагера. Він справжній придурок. Зрозуміло що він захищав брата, але вчинок його трохи дивний.
Повім він виправився і подарував Елоді небезпечні костилі.
І дивився з нею романтичні фільми.
Тому я його пробачаю.
Сент-Джеймс і Диявол — цікаві персонажі.
А хто така еліта Диявола? У мене звісно є здогадки.
Мені сподобалась Хані, про неї тем має бути книга.
І що за молоду жінку має знайти Кайзер? Це напевно найбілш цікаве питання яке мене турбує.
Чекаю на продовження, і рекмендую цю книгу!❤️🔥

His Perfect Prey is another delicious story in the world that involves Fraternitas.
It gives Jaeger his first birthday present ever,and what a present it turns out to be!
He and his twin Kaiser have had a rough life,and that’s putting it mildly,so they’re not used to any gifts….
But St.James knows exactly what to give him,and he’ll be damned if he’s going to let it go after the agreed upon night.
So,he plans to find a way to keep it….any way he can.
Because Elodie is the one that makes him feel good things for the first time in his life,and he wants more.
Elodie has had a rough life too…being used and abused by men who leave her when they’ve had enough hurts,and she’s had enough of them,thank you very much!
But with her and her sister in trouble because her sister’s ex left them with a debt to a loanshark,she can’t afford to turn her boss’ offer down….
And when the morning comes that offer turns out to be the start of something good,something she never thought she’d have,even if it involves a killer….
These two were só good together!

He was able to be rough with her because she enjoyed fighting back before surrendering to him.
And knowing where he came from,seeing how he could still be so sweet and caring with her, it made me melt.
She was the one that brought out that side of him,and in return he was the one that showed her how to stand up for herself and fight for her place in the world.
I hope Kaiser gets his perfect birthday present in His Perfect Possession,too!!

I'll start by saying this book turned out not to be my thing.
I'm cool with a bit of rough sex, some light pain, some B/D, some violence. But the sex was really rough, sounded damn painful, and the female lead was hurt quite a lot more than I wanted to experience. Also, days of orgasm denial isn't hit at all. There's a popular genre for this style of story, and I typically avoid it because that isn't sexy to me. Again, I know plenty of readers are OK with that, so I can chalk it up to "not my thing." Still, it was disappointing as I've long loved Lee Savino's work, but definitely not this one. Guess she's moving into different things.
Just from the perspective of how the story is written, I found some things to be jarring.
The story tended to lurch at different points. Time moved weirdly. For example, it seemed some months must have passed, but in fact it was just a week or so. Even in the epilogue, the female lead was still nursing a sprained ankle that should have been healed in less than a couple of weeks. Yet the male lead had a healed bullet wound. Also, what happened to the sister and her children? The female lead was obsessed with caring for them, yet once they went to a new location, not another mention of them was made. I also didn't understand the bizarre thugs during that 3/4 dramatic scene in the alley. (Their sense of timing was not believable at all.) So they received a boatload of money for their trouble previously, yet for some reason, they felt the need to try to extract more money from the female lead? Even knowing she was the girlfriend of a super dangerous dude capable of killing many men easily? Oh, and they thought they might be able to use this dude to extract even more money from this incredibly dangerous and greatly feared organization? What? This really made no sense at all.
The whole secret society thing was kind of murky. In order to be accepted as a girlfriend of a member, a murder of an old enemy had to take place. And the secret head of this secret society is a priest? Hmm. The female lead's damage by this professor was never clear other than sexual harassment. I'm not minimizing it, but is that what "destroyed" her life so badly? We never get the story. We're just given a couple of sentences, and that's it.
There was a curious coldness to the story. Other than the sex, it didn't seem the leads were in a romantic relationship.
Overall, the caliber of writing wasn't up to Lee Savino standards.

These two characters had me hooked from the start. I felt for Elodie because all she wanted to do was help her family and keep them safe. Jaeger is instantly drawn to her, and once he sees her running toward the woods, he can't think of anything but capturing her and making her his forever. Jaeger and Elodie have mind-blowing sexual chemistry; they can't seem to keep their hands off each other, especially Jaeger. He would stay buried deep inside her if he could. 😂
Jaeger is OBSESSED with her freckles, and I loved it.

I loved Jaeger. He was so obsessed with Elodie from the start, and his obsession for her grew stronger as they spent more time together. This man has such a filthy, dirty mouth. I loved it, and this man LOVES to f--k, but he also loves aftercare, which is my kind of MMC. She was hurt, and immediately, Daddy Bear kicked in. He carried her everywhere and ensured she listened to the doctor's orders. He buys her a new wardrobe and lets her pick out things for the house. He watches rom-coms with her. He was protective and possessive. He was the perfect book boyfriend.

His Perfect Pray was the first book in the Fraternitas series, and I can't wait to read more. These men were unhinged, and I know we are in for one wild ride. I need book two now; I want to read Kaiser's book!

God this was such a refreshing quick easy read after the slog that was The Brayshaw boys. It's nothing ground breaking, but it was just super enjoyable and sexy.

✅ Low angst
✅ No 3rd act break-up
✅ Comforting/Healing

✅ Kill those who hurt you
In my opinion, this wasn't really dark at all. Sure there were discussions and actions that would be considered dark in nature, but the tone is more feel-good and light-hearted. In fact one of my favorite parts is the on-going joke about multiple dark killer type characters loving to watch Hallmark romance movies. It's done in such a lighthearted, funny manner and is a stark contrast to all the blood and death you know they are capable of. My only minor complaint is that while there was plenty of sexy time at the beginning and the end, there was a chunk of time in the middle where he's edging her for days that was more tedious than sexy. That's more of a personal preference than anything, but the chase scenes are hot and sexy when they happen. Overall, I probably would get bored if I read a series of books like this back to back, but as a pallet cleanser or a pick-me up it was perfect.

Care Fenici, immaginate una villa imponente attorniata da fitti boschi, una donna dai capelli rossi nuda che fugge e un uomo con una maschera e gli occhi crudeli che la insegue. Il tempo è tutto, se la rossa riuscirà a sfuggire fino all’alba avrà un premio in denaro, ma se non dovesse farcela la bestia avrà la sua vita.
Non è malaccio come intro vero? Ed è esattamente la moda del momento, non scrivere un emerito accidente nella trama, ma anzi, lasciare il lettore con la curiosità di sapere cosa potrebbe succedere, beh: donna nuda nel bosco, uomo ferino dagli occhi spietati, quindi non prendiamoci in giro, diciamo che sicuramente non giocheranno a dama tutta la notte.
La storia è decisamente molto semplice, l’autrice ha cercato di inserire qualche accenno intrigante, ma con scarso successo a mio parere.
Elodie, la rossa, ha toccato il massimo della scala Richter in quanto a sfiga, mollata dal fidanzato, piena di debiti, con una sorella depressa e nipoti da crescere. Quando le viene offerta la possibilità di guadagnare soldi “facili” la coglie prontamente, di certo non si aspettava di essere inseguita da Jaeger, un membro della Fraternitas, una società criminale che tra un omicidio e l’altro aiuta i giovani orfani della città ad avere un’istruzione e del cibo. Non esattamente una situazione coerente…
La scena intrigante dei boschi dura qualche pagina, il resto riguarda solo loro due, con Jaeger che si fissa sulla rossa e decide che lei sarà la sua donna, in barba ciò che pensa lei. A non essere affatto d’accordo è il gemello di lui, Kaiser, che trama contro questa nascente relazione. Il resto è sesso, tanto sesso, troppo sesso.
La trama si regge in piedi a stento, i personaggi non sono affatto analizzati, più che altro l’autrice cerca di toccare il cuore del lettore con vicende emozionanti, difficili, dure, ma francamente mi è sembrato un po’ azzardato. Una società criminale, l’ennesima direi, con tanti milionari dallo sguardo magnetico che pratica strane messe nere e sceglie la propria compagna per la vita tramite pratiche di sottomissione bdsm… visto, rivisto e stravisto. Ovviamente hanno anche i club con le spogliarelliste, rituali con sangue zampillante, e tanti killer. Il brodo è sempre quello.
Poteva essere meglio costruito? Decisamente sì, comunque sia ha del buono, anche se in questo momento non mi suvviene nulla – scherzo! – ma l’ho letto in davvero pochissime ore, di certo l’inizio è seducente e non se la cavano male nemmeno le scene finali. Ve lo consiglio? Sì e no. Se cercate un erotico intrigante in cui sangue, morte e sesso si intrecciano allora leggetelo, non fatevelo sfuggire.

His Perfect Prey. Jaeger, like the drink, and Elodie. She was offered a job to be hunted in the forest by someone. If she makes it through the night without being caught she will walk away with $100k. The hunter becomes her knight and fixes her problems.
Each have their own backstories. I would give a 4/5 spice level. The details of their intimacy is not grotesque, if you know what I mean. Toys are used however.
The plot of the story is good! I like a book with spice but a purpose. There wasn’t any filler and it wasn’t a repeater.
A huge plus for me, no mention of marriage!!!!! There is one sentence that mentions having a baby. Just one! If I wanted to read a lovey dove story I would read a Nicholas Sparks book.
Another big plus, Elodie is described as a curvey girl with red curly hair. Jaeger is described as a Viking. One part, Lee Savino, describes what he is wearing: ripped jeans and a white tshirt. 🤤🤤
Some things to keep in mind: there are references of drug use…every intimate scene ends up being consensual…there is a scene where Elodie is bound to their bed for a whole day, that may trigger some people… there is mention of sexual abuse… there are some violent scenes with descriptions between males.
There were other things that stood out to me but for my own reasons.
In the end I would 100% recommend this book if you like natural SMUTT, no lovey dovey, dark romance, cult/ritual, mafia romance.

Dark romance and “touch her & die” were definitely the perfect combination in this book. It kicks off with a full-on hunt where our FMC is the prey, being chased by a hunter. If she makes it until dawn, she wins $100,000. But if he catches her, she’s his for the night.
This was a wild ride from the start and didn’t slow down even after the hunt ended. One thing Elodie didn’t count on? Falling for her hunter. Jaeger may have wanted just one night to chase, but he ended up gaining so much more. Watching how hard and fast he fell for Elodie had me swooning the entire time.
Elodie struggled to accept her worth and strength, but seeing her grow into her confidence was so satisfying.

Do check the TW of this intriguing dark secret society/mafia story. Eloide, desperate for money to protect her sister, signs on the dotted line to be prey. If she can evade capture she receives money. Jaeger is a hunter at heart and once he captures his “Bunny” she will be his forever. I loved how each realizes the other is what they needed to be whole. I enjoyed the humor blended in with the darkness. Sizzle with primal and BDSM elements. I look forward to the next in this series.

I DEVOURED this book in one sitting! Deliciously dark! Starting strong with Elodie gifted as a birthday present to Jaeger who gets to chase her through the woods and claim her. Jaeger…the morally dark MMC that will kill anyone that touches her. Elodie always in survival mode finally has someone who will stay and the after care is chefs kiss! I was hooked from the first chapter!

OMG! HOT! Lee Savino, I thought I was going to have to sit in an ice bath to cool off, it was so HOT!! Pitch dark, filthy and hot and just the way that I like them. This book had every element I am looking for in a dark romance and then some. The plot was twisty and fast paced. Both of the main characters are unique and likeable. Elodie is a fiesty red head with freckles and curves who enters The Hunt to try to make some extra cash to help her family. If she makes it until midnight without being caught, she gets $10k, if she makes it until dawn she gets $100k. If she’s caught, she belongs to the Hunter. *Enter Jaeger* He is possessive, foul mouthed, and oh so swoon worthy!
The primal play and tension in this book is so hot and it’s not a slow burn, the spice comes in hot and heavy really fast. What I loved about Jaeger wasn’t just his bedroom behavior, but also his after care. That was so sweet and unexpected. For a dark romance, this book was also really funny. The banter was so awesome and well written. I laughed out loud several times.
This was my first Lee Savino book, it’s also the first in a series. I will definitely keep going with the series as books are released because I loved it! The supporting characters were also awesome and there’s a particular one I’m hoping to see featured in one of the next books.
All in all, this spicy dark romance checked all the boxes for me. I’d definitely recommend it.
Lastly, I’m a sucker for pet names and I loved “bunny”. It was so fitting.
