The mysterious Shroud of Turin continues to captivate secular scientists and historians as much as it does Christian believers. Is it an authentic 2000-year-old Jerusalem “selfie” of Jesus Christ proving the Resurrection? Or is it an elaborate medieval forgery which the best forensic scientists in the world and all of their instruments still cannot even begin to explain?
Though now proven to be about 2000 years old, it has only been less than 50 years that forensic studies have sought to unravel the seemingly unsolvable riddle of the Shroud – a relic which has by now undergone more rigorous scientific testing than any other item in history.
While I believe the book has a robust argument for the authenticity of the Shroud, I found the spelling and grammatical errors distracting, and the periodic sarcasm unnecessary. There is currently a revived interest in the Shroud and my hope is there will be others who also share their belief and findings, perhaps in a less elementary way.
Everyone has their own belief about Jesus and rightfully so, however this historical evidence is indisputable. How it’s interpreted is left up to the reader. Thank you, Mike King, for this solid piece of History.
Great review the research. Compelling evidence and argument. Readable. Loved the photos of people involved, good and villainous. Especially nice was the AI generated image of Jesus.
