Bullard Bank. 42’ steel hull trawler. Mac Travis, & Alan Trufante (Cajun) could make a lot of money fishing for dolphin fish (Mahi Mahi).
Wulf, & Eva were eyeballing the 2 of them through his binoculars.
Mac had made a couple of dives.
Washington DC. VP Joe Wood (D) heard loud/clear what the man said over his cell phone.
Flamingo Island (Sister Creek channel). Mac, & Alan were being shot at from the boat that had been following them.
Wulf, & Eva caught up with Alan.
Joe was real upset with Wulf, & Eva because they had lost Mac.

What will happen to Alan?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, & great font/writing style. A very well written adventure (short story) book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great adventure movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

This review is for my own purposes. Please read the book and draw your own conclusions.

As this was a book 0.5 introduction to the story world and some of the characters it was understandably short. That said there seemed to be a large number of unnecessary coincidences that could have been setup in a more realistic manner.

Overall it was an enjoyable, quick, introduction to some characters and setting. Without so many coincidences and unexplained reasons for events (like why was Trufante in a different room when his abductors came back) this would have been four stars for me. I look forward to reading book 1 to get a better feel for this series.

An intro to the Mac Travis series, with Mac and friend Trufante out fishing and discover something deep in the water. Not sure what it is, they head back to shore only to be followed and shot at. A great short read that will wet your appetite for the rest of the series.

Great short story!

I've already read book 1 so this was a great introduction into what you'll find in book 1. I'm about to start book 2 and can't wait. This series is well written and easy to read. You'll find that you can't put the book down.

I wish I knew as much about boats as Wood does!!! At times I got confused between Wood and Wulf, but I remembered to look at the title!!! I enjoyed the story and recommend the book and the series.

This is a very short story that gives you a chance to sample the author's writing style. I'm interested in reading one of his longer books. Wood's Ledge had plenty of action, but it was too short to really flesh out the characters and the 'bad guys' kind of felt like Scooby Doo villains.

It was quite interesting! And kept one coming back and back again to finish the story. But you could have made it much easier to find your ebook page to do this review on for you. I had tried first Amazon.com and B&N with no success in finding this ebook page to write this for you and future readers. In this I was deeply disappointed that it had to take a lot of time just trying to find this page and site to do this for an author. Have a great day! I recommend this for those who are really into scuba and deep diving adventures, mysteries and crime stories though but because the story was very reverting and hard to set it down once I had begun I have give you as a recommendation five stars. You do have a couple of errs though like: him should have been a his and one other err similar to this type of err. I received this ebook for free and in return, here now is my honest review.

This is a great short story introduction to the Matt Travis series, based down in the Florida Keys. We are introduced to Matt and his friend whilst they are out fishing and he makes a discovery on the ocean bed whilst freeing their anchor. We learn a little of Matts past but I felt there could be more detail, hopefully in the next full length story we will find out more. Good Intorduction looking forward to more.

I really liked this book. I gave it three stars, because I was a little disappointed with the ending. It seemed to me like too many things were left hanging, and I just wanted a little bit more. However, it was nice to have Wood in this book. His death, seemed to come too soon in the Mac Travis series, and I would have enjoyed a couple more books being written with this character in them.

A short story apparently featuring recurring characters from a series.

Nothing about the characters, as portrayed in this story, that makes them special.

Maybe the series is better, I don't know and I'm probably not going to bother finding out.

I enjoyed this story as it was set in the Florida Keys, so I recognized a lot of the places he was talking about. I the story is good enough that I will purchase the next books and continue reading them.
