I’m a radio love doctor who hates Valentine’s Day.
Burned by love. Bitter about the roses and clichés. So when a smooth-talking caller challenges my views on air… I take the bait.
Derek says he can change my mind.
He’s charming, infuriating, and way too confident. Our banter ignites the airwaves, but when he proposes a bet— One date to prove Valentine’s Day isn’t just a scam— I can’t resist.
One date turns into more. And every time I see him, I feel myself slipping. Falling for the man I swore I’d never give a chance.
But Derek has a secret that could shatter everything. Can I trust a man who’s made his fortune off the holiday I hate most?
Or am I just another pawn in his game of hearts?
This Valentine’s Day, the biggest gamble isn’t love...
Raw. Next Question tells the story of Emily, a radio love doctor who is cynical about Valentine's Day, and Derek, a charming man who loves the holiday. After a heated on-air debate, Derek proposes a bet: one date to prove that Valentine's Day isn't just a commercial scam. As their dates progress, their connection deepens, but Derek harbors a secret that could jeopardize their budding relationship. The central conflict is Emily's skepticism about love and Valentine's Day versus Derek's genuine belief in the holiday, complicated by his hidden secret.
I found Raw. Next Question to be a sweet and engaging read, perfect for the Valentine's season. The "Valentine Grinch vs. Valentine Santa" dynamic between Emily and Derek was well-executed, creating a fun and lighthearted atmosphere. I appreciated the push and pull between the characters; their witty banter and differing perspectives kept the story interesting. Derek's efforts to woo Emily with thoughtful and genuine dates were charming, and it was satisfying to see Emily gradually soften. The drama that arose felt appropriate for the story and led to a lovely resolution that fit the couple well. I also appreciated the underlying message that showing affection should be a daily practice, with Valentine's Day being a bonus rather than the sole focus.
I would recommend Raw. Next Question to readers who enjoy lighthearted contemporary romances, especially those with enemies-to-lovers or opposites-attract themes. It's a perfect seasonal read for Valentine's Day or any time you're in the mood for a sweet and heartwarming story with a guaranteed happily-ever-after. If you appreciate witty banter, charming heroes, and heroines who learn to open their hearts, you'll likely enjoy this book.

It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations. 3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Emily is anti Valentine's day, in fact, she thinks it is just a overly commercialized way to guilt folks into spending copious amounts of money of an illusion affection. Dereck is the number one fan of everything Valentine's Day. His goal is to convince Emily to change her views on Valentine's Day, and he has his work cut out for him. I don't hate Valentine's Day, like emily, but I am not a fan of the whole Valentine's day hoopla. I feel that if you care about someone, it should be demonstrated in meaningful ways all 365 days of the year, not just on February 14th. Instead, February 14th should considered be a bonus day.

Emily thinks that Valentine's Day is just another day that has too much attention placed on it with commercialization, but Dereck wants to prove her wrong. He believes he can prove her wrong and is getting close, but will his secrets get in the way of a good thing. This heartfelt story kept me glued to the drama and cheering on this couple to getting their chance for happiness.

Emily has no time for the commercialized St Valentines day being sold to the public and wrapped up in pretty ribbons and bows. Then Derek on line two calls the radio station and gives Emily a challenge she won't soon forget. A good seasonal read.

The story was written with fun stories and facts. It is always interesting when enemies come to see each other’s points. Hope all have a happy Valentine’s Day.
