Dominic Scalera
The world is spinning apart as the old Don’s death delivers another post-mortem Ariana Morelli, a woman with too many secrets.

Ariana crashes into our lives out of nowhere and becomes our family’s only link to a past we buried decades ago.

Except she doesn’t talk. Making people talk is my specialty, but I’ve never had to wring information out of a woman before—never mind one who bears scars like my own handiwork… scars similar to the ones I have on my skin.

Even worse, Ariana looks at me with trust in her eyes and clings to my hand as if I’m her savior, making me feel alive for the first time since I was reduced to nothing but a weapon in the Don’s arsenal.

I can’t let her break down my walls. I refuse to cave to the desire that pulses between us. I’m the devil himself, and Ariana Morelli is a slice of heaven the likes of me will never deserve.

Worst of all, I already sense that once her truth finally comes out, I’ll have to kill her to save my brothers. How do I pull the trigger on the woman I love?

Ariana Morelli
Kidnapped and trafficked, I’m alive only to serve as a bartering tool. When my kidnapper’s plans crumble, I’m wounded and thrown into the heart of Il Consiglio—and straight into Dominic Scalera’s arms.

He takes care of me, convinced I’m tied to his missing sister. But I’m an undercover agent, in the wrong country, trapped in the wrong crime ring.

All I want is to get the hell out of here—while hiding who and what I really am—reconnect with my team in Italy, and finish the job we started.

But Dominic Scalera has other plans—plans that involve uncovering everything about me. Nobody has ever asked. Nobody has ever cared. And as Dominic gently pries open every locked door in my inner world, I can’t help but fall for him, even though I know we’re doomed.

This can only end one way, and it isn't going to be pretty.

SINNER'S VOWS is a Mafia vs Police, forced proximity, slow burn romance. This is the 3rd book in the Mafia Vows series, and reading HATED VOWS and BROKEN VOWS first is recommended. There's no cheating, no cliffhangers, and guaranteed HEA. This is a mafia romance so some scenes might trigger readers - please read with care!

I love this author writing style so much! I love the bigger story she is waving throughout her books and can’t wait for the next one!

What I liked:
-Call me weird but their meeting was perfect! Him healing her in the middle of chaos was so romantic 💘
- The contrast btw Dominic the interrogator and the service Dom was well done and a great idea. I am so tired of all those mafia books with BDSM vibe, this one was a nice surprise.
- The slow burn. IMO every book dealing with SA/ 🍇 should be a slow burn.
- I love the story that is being carried over the books
- the twist and turn we alway get
- there is a good balance btw the romance parts and the mafia ones

What I didn’t like:
The opening scene!! What the actual f***. Do I want to read about the MMC with another woman in so much vivid details? No!! Especially as I found the scene very sensual!! And what happened to the “I do everything but I don’t kiss”?? No, this random woman got the whole package from him: kiss, came hard, sweet name, found her beautiful… Ok she didn’t get the after care…Chapter one was a big problem for me, because afterwards, when Dom and Ariana are together I didn’t feel it was so much different for him!
He called her “sweetheart” which didn’t feel very special. He tied her up, used protection… Ok he let her touched him, but still… I wanted him to lose control around her…you know, because she is the one!
Some random sentences throughout the book like “when Dominic takes care of a woman he really takes care” or even when Ariana is coming he thinks “This one comes beautifully” made me cringe!
I want the relationship btw the MC to be special… Here it felt like Dominic just loves every women in the world and Ariana was just a nice addition.
-Ariana cried way too much, basically at every chapter.

✅slow burn
✅scarred h and H
✅mafia vs cop
🌶️🌶️
Check TW for SA, torture …

Sophia has done it again! I absolutely love this series. Sinner's Vows is Dominic's story. He's the interrogator of the family, as their dada trained him to be. He is ruthless in his ways. Ariana is an undercover agent with the Italian police in a traffic ring. When she is brought to Boston by Franco, as a distraction to get Gigi, Dominic saves her as Steph takes care of Franco (all in book two). Ariana has an almost instant trust with Dominic, she feels like he understands her. She stays at his place as she recovers from a bullet wound. They grow closer and they both open up about their past and the tragedies they both have lived. They go to Italy to follow a lead about finding the Scaleras long lost sister. They also learn something about Ariana's family and it affects the Scaleras. Will Dominic and Ariana fully learn to love and accept each other?

3.5 stars

I am going back and forth between 3.5 and 4 stars because I really wanted to LOVE this book like I did with Broken Vows, but it did not become my favorite after reading it. I did LIKE it and read it in a couple of hours because the storyline had me hooked but there were a few things in the story I could not ignore. First the blurb of the book sounded so amazing! An undercover agent, Ariana, infiltrates the Il Consiglio Scalera mafia after being kidnapped and harmed by a crazed Franco, and the Il Consiglio Scalera brothers happen to be there when they are saving Gigi from Franco. Because she has seen too much she is in the care of Dominic until they figure out what they want to do with her. All Ariana wants to do is go back to Italy and meet up with her team again, who think she is dead. Ariana was my number one issue. She has been an undercover agent infiltrating a sex trafficking ring and has been trained in negotiation, firearms, surveillance, combat, and intelligence yet she forgets all her training when she is in Boston with the brothers. I know she went through a lot when kidnapped and tortured, but she showed no strength on her part or determination to get home. To me, she did not feel like a trained undercover cop, and I wanted more from her. I also felt like I needed 100 more pages, there were too many unanswered questions between their sister, murdering the cousin of another mafia head, and ignoring the fact that Ariana was an undercover agent. It was wrapped up way to quickly and kind of just ended. I also felt little connection between Dominic and Ariana. I LOVE a slow burn, but they only really got together by the 80-90% mark (which is fine if there's a ton of buildup) but there really wasn't and then the story was over with the epilogue.

I am naming everything I did not like, but overall, I did like book because of the plot as it kept me hooked! I thought the hunt for answers about the brother's mom and their possible long-lost sister was amazing! It was so interesting that things have been in play since book 1 and how everyone has been connected. For the author to keep that all intact throughout a series is awesome and I really want to figure it all out and the secrets everyone has been keeping. I enjoyed seeing all the Il Consiglio Scalera brothers back together again! And I am very interested to see how the ending is going to play out in the next book! I cannot wait to continue the series!

Sophia Karlson has knocked it out of the park with Sinner's Vows and Dominic Scalera's story.

As Dominic is the interrogator of the family. A role he doesn't relish but one his now deceased father, the Don, took great pleasure in pushing him in too.

But there is a line he won't cross and that's hurting women.

Which he proves when Franco Fiore arrives in Boston with a mysterious hostage in tow. All so he can kidnap Gigi Tripani and make her his wife. Only Gigi is already married to Steph, Dominic's brother, and Franco underestimating the Scalera's doesn't last long. But the mysterious hostage Ariana gets hurt in the crossfire.

And now it's up to Dominic to look after her and, more importantly, find out who she really is.

But Ariana can't afford to let Dominic or any Scalera find out her secrets.

And trust me she has plenty!

As Ariana is an undercover agent for the Italian police, caught in the crosshairs of a rival mafia family that mistakenly believes she is one of their own and as Dominic takes it upon himself to safeguard her, an unexpected bond forms between them.

And for Dominic, who has always viewed women as vulnerabilities in his treacherous world, this connection becomes profound and transformative.

Especially when their journey takes them to Italy in search of the truth and secrets unravel and tensions mount.

And with a blend of compelling characters, intricate twists, and palpable chemistry, "Sinners Vows" crafts a story so engrossing I couldn't put it down, and I would happily recommend it to all.

My thanks to Sophia Karlson for kindly providing me with an early copy of Sinner's Vows. All thoughts expressed are my own. ,☺️

Sophia Karlson 😩 You have done it again! I am in awe of how you write dark and twisted romances. Because you had me on the edge of my seat with this book 🤯 And edgèd us also 😂❤️ This couple is 🥵🔥 Thank you so much for the ARC, I love and appreciate being on your team so much!

Dominic Scalera 🥵 This man had me in twists, I could get enough of him. From the start, you are drawn to his character and shown his way of life and how he keeps control of things. This all goes out the flying window 😂 when he meets Ariana 🤭 Dom is tall, handsome, morally grey, brave, tough, twisted, protective, possessive, obsessed, touch her and d*e, has an extremely dark past, hides his vulnerability behind his need for control, and a service doʻm 🤭🥵 Gosh this man had me edgèd for hours and I wasn't even the one he doing it to 😂 His half-brother Matteo is the new Don for the Il Consiglio, and is the interrogater 🔥

Ariana Morelli 🥹 Beautiful angel 😭 This woman was drawn into a horrible situation and had to do what she could to survive. She was kidnapped by Franco, who is the antagonist in this series, while undercover on a mission, and held hostage by him for his mission to the Scaleras. She was saved by Dominic Scalera 😏🥵 She's beautiful, intelligent, brave, tough, protective, vulnerable, independent, possessive, touch him and d*e, kind, gentle, obsessed and strong. She meets the first man to ever show her kindness and is instantly drawn to him. She has her own secrets and mysteries, which she tries to keep close to her vest, but Dom slowly unravels them 🥹

The mysteries, twists, and turns and chemistry were out of this world. The characters are as perfect as I remember them and the new ones have me intrigued 🥹 I love them all so much, and I can't wait for the next books in this series 😏🥵🥹🔥 They all have me and are so close to my heart 🫂❤️🔥

4 out of 5 Stars

I would love to thank Sophia Karlson for providing me with this ARC for an honest review.

Sinner's Vow is book 3 of the Mafia Vows series. As always, I recommend reading the books in order since they contain vital information that will appear in the current book.

Sinner's Vows continues with the next Scalera brother, Dominic. It starts a little towards the end of the previous book. The first chapter is about him before meeting our FMC, Ariana, and undercover police agent with a tragic history and tragic present of her own. Meanwhile, Dominic has his own tragic history that he doesn't share, but something about Ariana makes him want to share and makes him want to allow her to get close, but at the same time, he has to resist the urge to let her in.

Because of the female's history with SA, along with one major plot in the book, this book is an extremely slow burn. But with the history of SA, I would never expect the spice to go too quickly into this story.

I love that we got to discover a bit more about the Scalera brothers' deceased mother. Not to mention, Dominic and Ariana both tell one another their secrets, bringing them both closer together and allowing them to heal one another's hearts and souls.

Book 3 in the Mafia Vow’s Series
Two opposite worlds collide – mafia & undercover cop – with lots of secrets, missions, tension, desires, action and twists!
Sinner’s Vows is anchored by its unforgettable characters, each displaying incredible strength in their own way. I just love how the families stick together. The chemistry between all the characters is all complementary, adding a dynamic layer to the story.
It’s is a slow burn dark romance, but when it burns, it burns fiercely!

If you like forced proximity, one bed, who did this to you? – then Sinner’s Vows is for you.
**Note: You must read Mafia Vow’s Series in order.

Wow, what a read in true dark romance Mafia style with a few trigger warnings, so be sure to check those before you start reading.

5 star read for sure - I enjoyed it so much more because I have read the first 2 books in the series and it is also recommended that you read the first 2 books before this one.

Sinner’s Vows follows the turbulent journey of Dominic and Ariana… Awesome writing style and storyline with lots of twists and turns. I could not help but be drawn into the book as if I myself was also a character in it.

Already excited for the next one in the series.

Author Sophia Karlson’s Mafia Vows series, originally titled the Il Consiglio Scalera Mafia Dynasty series, is superb. Outstanding, tremendous, fantastic, extraordinary – pick a word. Karlson is a talented, excellent writer who knows just how to draw the reader in. Sinner’s Vows is the third book in the series, after Hated Vows and Broken Vows. You could read it standalone, but why would you deprive yourself of the Il Consiglio background, the Scalera family backstories, and the blow-you-away connections, secrets, and surprises. Trust me, you need to know how it starts.

Sinner’s Vows has got to be the most suspenseful, nerve-wracking, emotionally draining book I have ever read that wasn’t intended to be a mystery or a psychological thriller. And I mean that as the highest praise. Every chapter – whether it’s Dominic or Ariana – has me on the edge of my seat, afraid to turn the page but unable to turn fast enough. Not just because of what is happening in the scene but because of what is happening in their minds.

The first chapter just comes out of nowhere and leaves you breathless and speechless. It starts the night before the old Don’s funeral, with Dominic doing what he has to do to maintain control, to be able to attend that funeral. Karlson describes what he does to gain that sliver of control much better than I ever could, so you’ll just have to read it, but I assure you that you will love Dominic before you get to Chapter 2. All the Scalera sons suffered at the hand of their cruel, brutal father, the old Don. He was inventive and creative in the ways he designed to torment and torture them and they all carry the scars, both physical and emotional. Their mother loved them so much, but she was ultimately powerless against the Don and died giving birth to their sister, who was never seen and is presumed dead. But is she? That and so many other questions will keep you guessing and guessing and guessing again.

Ariana Morelli is the mysterious woman who appeared at the end of Broken Vows. She’s many things but which are real: the makeup woman Franco brought to the United States with him to disguise him, an undercover agent, their long-lost sister, someone else somehow connected to the Scaleras? Is she dangerous to them? Dominic’s role in the family is the interrogator. He’s good at it, and it’s his job to interrogate Ariana and find out just which roles are real and which aren’t, whatever it takes. Problem: Dominic is convinced he’s more like his father than any of his brothers, unworthy, tainted, taught by his father to do unimaginable things. We’ve had a glimpse into Dominic’s mind and soul and might disagree, but he still has a job to do. Additional problem: if you want to see a living, breathing example of ‘soulmates’ just look at Ariana and Dominic. There are immediate connections between them on so many levels, including being kindred spirits in the most horrible way, but there are so many layers to peel back, so many unknowns and so much suspicion that the question is how would something between them even start and where would it go. Nowhere, until answers are found.

Karlson takes you at breakneck speed through the hunt for those answers. Characters from Hated Vows and Broken Vows are back and we get to know them even better. Some of the unknowns from those books become known, but there is still so much to learn, that must be learned and the tension builds. And tears – over and over again you will be brought to tears at the magnitude of the evil, the supreme sadness, the hopelessness Dominic and Ariana feel. Karlson makes the scenes with them sensual, sexy, often sweet and very often heart-breaking.

Sinner’s Vows is so violent and graphic that if it were a movie you would be watching through your fingers, and as it is you have to stop and take a breath every once in a while – and there Karlson goes again with building that suspense and anticipation – but you won’t turn away because these Scalera men have all gotten to you and you want what they want. There is one horrible surprise after another. One more twist. One more turn. You can’t prepare because you have absolutely no idea. You haven’t had a clue. Yet it all makes sense.

The time frames of all the books overlap a bit and new characters and new events are added, just like vehicles merging on a highway. Some of the action in Broken Vows piggybacks on what’s happening in Hated Vows, and the action in Sinner’s Vows starts about the time a favor is being called in for the Scaleras in Broken Vows. Ariana’s place in the action is like a thread here or a thread there, or a web. It’s complex but never confusing. Author Karlson, through her excellent, detailed writing takes us through scenario after scenario and throws us right into an amazing conclusion.

Thanks to the author for providing an advance copy of Sinner’s Vows as part of her review team. It is thrilling, gripping, stunning and very, very satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend this series without hesitation, and hope there is another book coming soon. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own. And yes, I want some wine that is like pouring liquid money down my throat. Such great word-building.

Sinner's Vows is wonderful. Sophia Karlson continues to keep me riveted with the latest in her Mafia Vows series. One by one, she has these sexy beasts, known as the Scalera brothers, fall in love when their world is one that should never be known as happy. Yet, Dominic Scalera, the known 'muscle' of the family, fell hard and dare I say, fast, for the long-suffering Ariana Morelli and let's just say, he was never the same.

I think what I loved most was that once again, Karlson gives us a strong-willed woman in Ariana, who although can only think about escaping her latest Mafia prison at the Scalera mansion, is exactly what the closed-off Dominic needs. Her secrets are numerous and it was wild what her real life was all about back in Italy and how it could completely destroy the Scaleras should she be able to leave. But right from the start, when Ariana is found after a month at the hands of the evil Franco, I just knew Dominic had found the woman who would finally soften his hardened heart. To get to watch him be gentle with Ariana, treating her with the sweetest of gestures, was beautiful to witness. The dichotomy that is Dominic astounded me with his quiet nature around Bruno the dog, and with the women he chooses to bed, and yet his job within the family couldn't be more brutal.

The story progresses at a good rate as I waited for everything to be laid bare and whether or not Ariana would choose to finally accept her Mafia roots and stay with Dominic or would she still want to be a vigilante of sorts and rid the world of the evil she has had to live with for far too long. But damn, that Dominic is like the very best drug and as he treats her like the goddess she is and takes his time in allowing her to feel comfortable in the bedroom, I was ready to tell her to move aside should she make the wrong choice lol I mean, the man is divine. The fact that he can toss aside the bad he had encountered from his bastard of a father and be the gentle giant Ariana will forever need, had me swooning once more for another delicious Scalera man.

Sophia Karlson has brought out the big guns with this book and series, for that matter. She doesn't hold back with the brutality of the Mafia world but can also bring out the softer side to these hardened men, allowing them to find the women who will give them the joy they truly deserve. There is always plenty of action paired with some lighter moments between brothers and the realization that one more has fallen prey to a charming and smart woman. Ariana is no shrinking violet and I think it's that strength and moxie that Dominic admired most. Even when things go a bit south and she is forced to finally come clean, the respect he has for her regardless of what she knows or that her next move could destroy his family remains strong. And in the end, Dominic still couldn't help but fall hard for his Mafia Princess.

Sinner's Vows also continues other storylines from the previous two books and I love that Karlson keeps us updated with respect to the other love stories we've already devoured, the Scalera family expanding one romance at a time. I'm still wildly curious about Luca and Benedict and I know that this talented author will give them their due in the best possible way going forward.

When looking for the perfect mix of action, intrigue and passion, grab Sinner's Vows. Sophia Karlson has created a Mafia world that is so full of heart that I can't get enough of it. Dominic Scalera made me sigh like a fool and his clever nature was something to be admired. You'll see for yourself that the man is beyond talented in oh so many ways. And Ariana Morelli is one lucky woman and I'm just glad she now knows it, too.

5 big stars!

✦Series: Mafia Vows #3
✦POV: Dual, first-person
✦Spice: Explicit, open-door 🔥

SINNER'S VOWS is a Mafia vs Police, forced proximity, slow burn romance. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and guaranteed HEA.

» The chronological plot is twisty, dramatic, and mysterious without being too angsty (thank you!) and the pacing moves quickly between scenes. I was hooked from the beginning and stayed that way.

» Ariana and Dominic are both strong characters who believe they’re weak because of past trauma. They are the better version of their demons; atoning for those evils and making the world right the only way they think they can. They’re both intelligent, sympathetic, and likeable with richly developed characters. They complement each other perfectly despite being flawlessly poised as forbidden opposites.

Dominic Scalera doesn’t steer away from what he’s been trained to do in Il Consiglio.

This is going to be torture, but of the sweetest kind.

» Sophia Karlson drew supercharged tension between Ariana and Dominic; writing Dominic as a pleasure dom was a fresh take on a stereotypically macho character. His brutal professional life balanced by his sensual softness was 100% swoon! 😮‍💨🫠

I can’t weave his gentle side and cruel side together at all. I suck my lip, knowing I’m in too deep. I’m treading water, battling a tide I only want to be swept away with, straight into his arms… the last place I should be.

✩ I love the concurrent plot lines, growing thicker with each book. Sinner’s Vows is technically a standalone but reading the first two books will enrich your experience of the story. They’re engrossing, and once you start, you’ll understand why I love them so much.

♡ Don’t hesitate to pick up Sinner’s Vows. Dominic and Ariana have chemistry for days and if mafia romance is your jam, I guarantee you’ll devour it!

Sin. This is pure, unforgivable sin. And in this moment, I don’t care. Ask me to coast to Hell on the broken wings of a fallen angel, and I’ll plunge willingly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Sinner’s Vows – Sophia Karlson

Karlson is a master of the craft. Her books can make me forget about life around me. They transport me to a different world.
I’m not into BDSM, so service Dom worked well for me. I liked Dominic the interrogator and how he became the family interrogator.
I liked that Matteo in the end had genes I had not anticipated. I didn’t see this coming at all and liked the surprise.
Sophia Karlson’s Sinner's Vows, the third book in the Mafia Vows series, is an electrifying mix of romance, danger, and suspense. The story centres on Dominic Scalera, a feared mafia enforcer, and Ariana Morelli, a determined undercover agent. As their worlds collide, attraction ignites amid deception, forcing them to walk the fine line between love and betrayal.
Karlson delivers a slow-burn romance filled with high-stakes tension. Dominic’s nature contrasts with Ariana’s determination, making their dynamic compelling, yet truly emotional. As the story unfolds their trust and loyalty are tested.
Packed with action, intrigue, and emotion, Sinner’s Vows is a thrilling read. Karlson’s writing immerses readers in a complex world where passion is both a weapon and a weakness. While the novel can be enjoyed independently, reading Hated Vows and Broken Vows first is advised.

Obviously, I’m now waiting for the author to deliver her next book! I hope she is writing.

Darkness:🖤
Heat:🌶️🌶️🌶️
Ending:{HEA}
POV: Dual

- Safety Squad: There are potentially triggering elements.
If you have any hesitation, check the warnings before diving in. Otherwise, blind is best!!

Sinners Vows is book 3 in the series and while it could necessarily be a standalone I wouldn’t recommend as numerous characters from previous books are in this.

Okay let’s get to the good stuff! This is by far my favorite of the series! Dominic is chefs fucking kiss! I mean chapter one…you get hit with just how amazing he is right off the bat like whew! 😰 one hand reading material right there 😉 he is a pleasure dom and it shows!

Daddy Don is 😵 and now the boys have to clean up the shit show! Dominic is back home but he doesn’t want to claim it as his house cause it really isn’t. Nutshell dad was a dick a huge asshole(you’ll figure it out don’t worry) Dom wants to find his moms journals more than anything.

Enter…Ariana! She’s being held captive and winds up in Dominic’s possession. A lil birdie dropped a hint at their not so dead baby sister is alive and insinuates enough that the brothers believe she may be her!

Here comes the complications…good ole Nicky (Dominic) just may be attracted to her and her him not awkward right that couldn’t happen if they were siblings!

Secrets get unraveled and the truth comes to a head along with the big secret Ariana is hiding… who she really is!!

Sinner’s Vow is the third book of the Mafia Vows series. Dominic Scalera was raised to be the enforcer of the family. He is tall, gorgeous, and morally grey just like we love our men. Ariana Morelli is being held captive by the vicious cruel monster that is Franco Fiore. He had seen him in the previous book and saw what he can do to torture women. Ariana is saved by Dominic when the Scaleras go to save the Trapani sisters and before his death Franco hints that Ariana is the long lost Scalera sister. While that is being sorted out Dominic keeps her safe at the Scalera mansion and struggles with his attraction to her. Ariana slowly opens up to him what she has endured in her time with Franco both recent and as a child and Dominic opened up for the first time about his childhood and the abuse he withstood from his father. This book has so many twists and turns and subplots that I absolutely loved. You definitely need to read all three books in succession to fully grasp the plot as they are all interconnected. I had originally only read book two and went back and started from the beginning before reading this one and I’m so glad I did. I truly hope there is more books in this series because I want to know more about the now found sister Gabriella Scalera, I want to see what’s in store for the rest of the Scalera men and will the Petrov’s seek revenge. Please Sophia Karlson give us more!

Dominic Scalera, the feared interrogator of his family. Ariana Morelli, a trafficked victim or is there more to her? She carries scars that he recognises, he’s left them on people himself so how is he supposed to get her talk when the marks on her body prove there’s nothing he can do that hasn’t been done before, until his brother suggest seduction but what will he do when he uncovers her true identity and the danger she is to his family?

For me Sinner’s Vow was probably the darkest book in the Il Consiglio series. Dominic and Ariana were both damaged in their own ways, trapped in lives they didn’t want but instinctively drawn to each other like moths to a flame. Perhaps it was a case of like recognising like and they saw their brokenness reflected in the other but the chemistry between them was palpable with the tension building as their story played out with all the twists and turns the heart of any lover of romantic suspense could desire before reaching a gripping finale and the intrigue of what comes next. Is the world ready for a Scalera sister

This is the third book in the series and wow I could not get enough of it. While this book is a slower burn it was a perfect story for Domanic and Ariana. I am a huge fan of mafia romance and Sophia Karlson has just become one of my must reads for sure. She writes an amazing story with all the dark and twisted things you look for but also has the emotional aspect we all want from romance stories. Ariana is a strong character that has been through so much in her life and truly never feels safe until the day Dominic carries her out of the warehouse. She is drawn to him in every way. Dominic is the interrogator, but he also has a softer side he keeps hidden, but Ariana brings out so much more from him. These two are perfectly broken halves that heal each other, and it was exciting, suspenseful, will keep you on the edge of your seat but you also fall in love with these two characters. The way he gives her control and shows her that he can be her person was heartwarming. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

If you love romantic suspense with mafia spice check out this one. Sinners Vows definitely kept me thinking. I didn’t know where this was going to go. Suspense was at an all time high. As mentioned above, this is the third book in the series and much different from the rest. This was a slow burn, like slow, slow. You felt the tension and the pull, but things didn’t get spicy for a while. I do have to say, I am completely shocked by the softer side of Dominic. I mean, this man is the enforcer of the Scalera family, the muscle. Who knew he would grow to call someone “sweetheart.” While I enjoyed this story, It doesn’t top Broken Vows. Nor does it outshine Hated Vows. I think Stephano will forever be the man for me. And Tristan’s crazy has a special place in my heart. But never does the brotherly love and banter get old. In the end, it was a good story, but there was just something missing for me.
Im thinking a 3.5 star for me, simply because Hated Vows I rated a 4 star, and Broken Bows was a 5 star.

OMG. I can’t believe how perfect this book was. LOVED IT SO MUCH. Sophia really is the queen of mafia, plot twist and secrets. Every time you think you know how it will turn out, it turns out to be completely different. Feelings and thoughts go back and forth constantly and it makes the book so interesting and exciting! This book simply contains everything; suspense, hot spice, dangerous secrets, love, brotherhood, betrayal. It was like a complicated puzzle where everything suddenly falls into place. I have so much admiration for Sophia, who manages not to give anything away too early but manages to tie up all the loose ends perfectly. Big applause.

And Dominique, I need to say something about him because I feel in love with this man. He was just so sweet and caring. Ruthless and protecting. He was just the best. Can’t wait for the next books in this series. Can’t get enough of the scalera’s!

"It hits me that this woman is going to break me before I can break her. This one. She’s my downfall. She’s going to make me the weakest link. And I’m not sure there’s any way of surviving that."

This book pulled me in right from the beginning. Ariana was a mystery and I liked discovering new things about her as the plot moved forward. But one thing about her was certain that she needed a safe place after all that she went through and I liked how Dominic gave her just that. The chemistry between them was palpable and some parts of the book were unpredictable. So, the story kept me hooked and the side characters were equally intriguing. The slow burn romance and the mystery both made this book an intense and gripping read. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and the last half has left me feeling excited to see what's going to happen next, so I can't wait to continue the series!

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review

This book is the third in the series and they are best read in order. I’m not saying you couldn’t keep up but they basically pick up where the previous book left off so keep that in mind.

This book follows Dominic and Ariana. Ariana finds herself in Dominic’s orbit when she is identified as the brother’s long lost sister. Dominic is drawn to her and doesn’t know what to believe but he is determined to get to the bottom of all the secrets that Ariana is hiding, and there are a lot of secrets.

I really loved this book. Dominic seems like the most guarded of the brothers and as the story unfolds you figure out why. Ariana is also hiding secrets from her past and secrets that can affect her present. When Ariana and Dominic’s worlds collide they find that their individual traumas not only made them into the people they are, but also make them nearly a perfect match.

Great read and I can’t wait for the next installment in the series.

❤️Sinners Vow❤️

This is 3rd book in the Mafia Vow Series and they just keep getting better and better!!! Each book is about a different brother but the storyline is intertwined throughout the books so you do need to read Hated Vows and Broken Vows first.

Dominic might be my new favorite brother!! He is such a strong and controlled man but Ariana brings out the possessive and obsessive side to him. He also not only is her safe space but she is his and after years of keeping feelings bottled up he opens up to her and finds peace.

Will that peace last when her secret is found?

You will have to read and see!!

If you are looking for a slowburn that has the tension building and waiting to explode over then you need to read this book!!

Dominic is the ultimate new “touch her and die” book boyfriend!!

Ariana is in a dire situation and needs help and Dominic is there to rescue her. But she is hiding *a lot*. But as they are in each other’s orbit, feelings grow and they start to heal one another in such a beautiful way. Ariana is broken at the moment, but in a strange way, so is Dominic… But also, Ariana is so strong and Dominic sees her strength… Their relationship is fragile, like a piece of thread and there is so much to lose, but if they can overcome their *many* obstacles, there is so much to gain.

The FMC goes through so many terrible situations. Please please read the content warnings and take appropriate self care. It's vital, dear ones.

“Sinner’s Vows” is book 3 of ‘Mafia Vows’ and it is *not* a standalone. I have enjoyed this unique mafia series and eagerly await the next installment!

Another great book!! I love this series so much. I honestly take my time while reading this book. The author does such a great job with everything. The details, the storyline, the plot, the smut, and everything!!! Honestly, Dominic backstory is just plain sad. I cried reading it. Just knowing everything from book one and two and now his book. The old Don is just plain rude. Glad he no longer here! But sadly also Ariana backstory is just as sad, if not worse in its own way. I love how Sophia interconnects all the stories. They just flow so perfectly. So when you finish one book, you start from a certain area in the last book to this new one and I just love it. The plot always gets me, the characters growth, and just loving this Mafia family more and more. I just can't stop reading this series. I literally can not wait for the other books because I need to know more and more!!

So, I remember when I read Hated Vows (Book One.. we are now on Book Three keep up 😘) that Dominic may quite possibly be my favorite. And I mean.. how can you not fall in love with Nicky 🤤?! He is strong and scarred and a little bit scary, but also so smexy. So, no offense to Matteo and Stephano, BUT Nicky might have the win.
BUT we aren't done yet with the Scalera Men, and something tells me Benedict and Luca will both be up for the challenge to win that top spot as favorite 😍.
Back to the story, and oh my goodness, there is so much GOOD story. I was immediately caught up in this world. There are thrills, suspense, surprises, and a slow burn that leaves you wanting, but oh so satisfied. I can not wait for more of this family.

This is book three in the Mafia Vows series, picking up right where book two left off. Ariana and Dominic's story is one for the ages. Ariana finds herself in an impossible situation—taken out of Italy against her will and thrown into another crime ring. Dominic, the skilled interrogator for Il Consiglio, is exceptional at his job. But can he get her to talk?
This book has so many dark and haunting moments. Ariana's story felt like an endless nightmare—until she meets Dominic. He might be the savior she never knew she needed. With a past just as twisted as hers, Dominic struggles to let her in.
As they spend more time together, I was completely engrossed in their story and couldn't put the book down. The way Dominic uses pleasure to wash away the darkness of his job was absolutely heart-stopping. And when Ariana finally lets him close enough to see that her broken pieces match his, I wanted to jump up and cheer. I still don’t know how she managed to keep all her secrets—she had so many!
The slow burn in this book was worth every moment. I love a dark and twisted romance, and when the secrets were finally revealed, the ending was perfect. Sophia Karlson did it again, and I cannot wait for the next book!

Actually 4.5 ⭐️

-he’s mafia/she’s undercover
-he’s a pleasure dom
-the things he does to her 🥵🫠🫠🫠
-Bruno the farting dog
💦💦💦💦💦

Sinners Vow’s is number #3 in the Mafia Vows series. You should read the first 2 prior to reading this one. Oh, but this one…

Dominic is a pleasure dom to help him remember that he isn’t just an enforcer.

Somehow, Ariana has come into his life with secrets. And he wants to find them out.

Ariana is such an amazing FMC as she fights her way through the mafia and being undercover.

I don’t want to give away anything… no spoilers here. I couldn’t put it down. I love the Scalera brothers, and each book just gets better.

Sophia, you knocked this one out of the park. The spice in the first chapter is so misleading, but this is a slow burn I actually enjoyed. The fact the Dominic is a Service Dom and shows that through the whole book had me melting!

Ariana, girl, you went through it. Kidnapping, mistrust, and hiding your identity to morphing into this beautifully strong soul. Your arc was amazing.

How Dominic also has trauma, but will do anything for his brothers makes me want to cuddle him. The way he was able to finally confide in Ariana and they healed together was *chef's kiss*.

Sinner's Vows is the third book in the Il Consiglio Scalera series and releases on February 25, 2025.

Great story. I’ve been waiting for Dominic’s book since Stephanos ended.

Ariana was a force to be reckoned with and I loved that Dominic saw past the walls and hurt she’d endured for years.

They were both broken and gave each other a reason to keep going. Can’t wait for more from this family! The only thing missing for me, was more of Dominic’s pl3asure D0m’s side with Ariana. We only got a glimpse as they didn’t get together until after the 70% mark in the book. Not much build up either.

I would like to thank the author for the opportunity to receive an advanced reading copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
