The first book within the series was "Release" which wan't bad but I felt as if I didn't want to continue the series. But then the lovely Marta said that the second one was a freebie on Amazon. I'm so gald that I read the second book.★★★★★

We met Ayanna and Jon in the first book and they didn't exactly hit it off. We also read that Ryann gave Ayanna some important advice which she took to heart. Yan has been playing with men since she has been a teenager just to piss her parents off not that she actually choose someone who was right for her but when she meets Jon, things start to change.
Jon or Jonny Be Good or JBG I didn't like in the first book at all but he redeemed himself. He apologized to Yan. He found out that Yan was on a 40 day sex and pizza ban and through that a beautiful friendship started that turns into love a deep deep love. Thank God that there is no insta/love. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and the plot was very well written. I'm really looking forward to the next book the authors are getting better with each book.

This is the second book in the Iris Series, and I was looking forward to this one, as I was impressed with Ayanna from book one. She is funny, feisty, beautiful, yet a little insecure, and the chemistry between her and Jonathan was intense. Their first few interactions always ended in an argument; and because Ayanna was not used to men not falling all over her once she made up her mind to woo them with her charm and beauty, she didn't know how to respond, and it just fed into her insecurities. Jonathan is charming, endearing, smart and extremely handsome, and it frustrates him that Ayanna gets under his skin, and as much as he hates it, each interaction ends in his snarly comments and more frustration. Ryann is completely taken aback, as this behavior is so out of character for her friend, and she see the effect it has on her best friend Ayanna, who wants a good man to love her for herself. Ayanna makes the decision to go introspective and work on herself for the next 40 days, giving up the two things that she loves the most, as a sacrifice to lead her to the life she so desires with a good man to love and love her. It is during this time, that she and Jon form a truce, and become friends. This is when things start to heat up, and so many things in Ayanna's life begin to evolve.
I enjoyed the back and forth between Yan and Jon; once they did get together, their was lots of intimate scenes (almost overkill for me, but maybe not for the next reader). I did enjoy the secondary characters, and the authors had done a good job introducing couples for future installments. Looks like the next one will be Emily, Jonathan's cousin and Michael, detective and brother of Janie, Ayanna's business partner. It was a long story, but it flowed well, and read quickly. The story has a little drama that made it interesting, and again the secondary characters were interesting; would love a story for Dev, Yan's brother and Mark, Jon's brother (maybe they are a couple, who knows;) anyway I'm sure the authors have more in store for us. Good story!

Redemption is the story about Ayanna and Jonathan that we met in Release, the first book in the Iris series by Rebecca Lynn. I was looking forward to reading this since I enjoyed Release so much. This is a stand-alone and not a continued story from the first book, but I highly recommend you read Release before you read Redemption. One, because it is a better book and Two, there is a spoiler in Redemption for how the first book ends. I thought Redemption was OK, but definitely not as good as the first in the series and will not be on my re-read shelf. I loved the story of Ryann and Jeremy in the first book. I felt like there was a good balance of sweetness, romance, and suspense. In Redemption, I felt like we lost some of this balance. The "suspense" was minimal and over quickly. I enjoyed the build-up to Ayanna and Jonathan's relationship, but once they were together, I felt like the story stalled out. There was minimal conversations and plot and just steamy scene after steamy scene. I like an erotic romance as much as anyone, but I feel like that was all we got after that point. Once they became a couple, there was no more plot. The writing was done very well and there were minimal editing errors, but, in my opinion, the second half of the book could have been condensed into one chapter where you get their HEA. I did enjoy the glimpses of Ryann and Jeremy that we got and we do get to know other friends and family members better in this book, I am assuming this is to set us up for the future books in this series. Will I read the next one? At this moment in time, I am unsure if I will.

This is the series I re-visit, time and again, when I've become a jaded, bitter romance novel reader. Rebecca Lynn reminds me of why I love to read this genre.

Authors "Rebecca" and "Lynn" always give me a lift and a renewed faith in romance. The only problem with re-reading this series is it makes me more impatient for their next book release!

I've read book #1, Release, several times; However, this was my first re-read of Redemption. Still a 5 star book. Still the perfect amount of erotic romance, suspense, and intelligent characters dealing with real-life issues. Can't wait for Michael and Emily's story in book #3.

This is the second book in the Iris series (about a different couple)
I wanted to love this one as it wasn't overbearing with loads of sex scenes unlike the first book Iris ( which was hot, hot, hot btw!!!!) in fact this plot was breaks on and none of that for the most.
I really enjoyed the abstinence and as it unfolded I was eager for the inevitable.......
The unfolding relationship was good if a bit long winded and got a bit sickly lovey dovey for me.I would have liked the storyline a bit less focused on the Yan & Jon and more effort into the secondary characters (villain) but overall a good read

3.5*

After i read Release, i pretty much cant wait for Ayanna and Jonathan's story. I expect angst and sizzling chemistry. Although the chemistry is indeed abundant, but they get together pretty smoothly and easily, without too much drama.

I really love Ayanna character. Though her problem sometime can seemed juvenile, how she handle it was not. And Jonathan was just a bundle of hot awesomeness (though i prefer Jeremy, i like them dominant). Their story is pretty tame, and conflict free. their problem came from outside. And i cant help but found it lacking. I need them to gave more struggle. But i really adore Ayanna, she's just different.

The circle of friends in these series are really awesome. They are fun, yet loyal. They can annoy each other, but always be there for one another. The chemistry for the next couple was built in this book.

On the way to read Michael and Emily story now.

1=poor 10= excellent
Initial thoughts- This author has the perfect mix for me of erotic romance. I loved the character development and involvement of secondary characters. It was a delight to read this story as I stayed focussed and did not skim descriptions or back -story. Overall this was my perfect type of read.
The only thing I would say in the negative… was the use of swearing and slang the heroine used constantly. I found myself skimming over the f bombs as they distracted and disrupted the flow and enjoyment of being absorbed in the story. I understand this was apart of her rough and assertive qualities…but jeez it was annoying!
Solid Plot and story line 10/10
Alpha male- (possessive, dominant, intense, bossy, complex) 8/10
Heroine(inner strength, independent, sassy, passionate, honest, intelligent) 9/10
Chemistry 10/10
Steaminess 10/10
Banter 9/10
Secondary characters- 9/10
The chase (boy pursues girl) 10/10- different kind of chase
Girly stuff (descriptions of shoes, hair, make-up and clothes) 7/10
Stand alone story for main Characters- Yes, YAY! LOVE THAT
Is this a stupid trilogy- no -YAY!
Would this be a re-read- Yes
Would I read this author again- CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!

Laughed, cried, and laughed some more.

And I almost didn't get this book because of a review.Ayanna and Jeremy's story was a laugh a minute. Yes the beginning was a slow start but the fights, banter, and laughs between these two was wonderful. once day 41 came all bets were off and the fun began. It had excitement and you so wanted Ayanna and her parents to work out. I don't want to give anything away but this was an excellent read and was worth every penny. now on to book 3 and the fun I'm sure is about to get even better with Emily and Michael's story. oh the joy of reading stories that are not just written well but make you wish the people were truly real. Thank you again Rebecca Lynn for another great read.

I really liked this love story. The fact that JBG and Ryanna were friends first and he unselfishly helped her keep her commitment to herself was beautiful and caring. The struggles that Ryanna experienced and the fact that Jon was her rock and sounding-board was endearing and made the story more truth than fiction. An enjoyable read. I look forward to the next one. I love that the characters intertwine and remain in each others lives throughout the Series. Feels like catching up with old friends after being separated for a time. Awesome writing Rebecca Lynn.

3.5 stars..Not a bad read, a good story with good characters, HEA and no cliff hanger. Great sex scenes with crossover characters. This can be read as a standalone but with character continuation it would be best to read in order to help with character understanding. The first book was defiantly better, I just enjoyed the main H/h more. In this book I enjoyed the secondary characters so much, Jon and his family could have a book all their own, loved his mom. On to hopefully Emily and Michael's story, they had tones of chemistry so here's hoping for a better story and great read!!!

When it takes me this long to read a book, Its not good. I don't know why but I just did not connect with this duo. They were great together, had chemistry, maybe Jon was just too nice, like too much sweet cream on top of the cake... You can only have so much, that is how I felt about Jon and Ayanna. I much prefered the first book, and now i am having to decide if i will continue with the series... I am excited to read about Michael... We will see.

Great storyline

Even if it was obvious, the storyline was great. The characters had depth and were all super successful.

The rundown...promiscuous girl likes a guy out of her league. She attempts to change her ways with the help of her friends, family, and a type of fast. There is a bit of danger, a lot of colorful swearing, and steamy romance. I enjoyed it. Happy reading

absolutely better then the first book. Ayann's journey was the opposite of Ryann. Where ryann new who she was as a person she didn't know who she was sexually. Ayanna knew who she was sexually but had no clue she who she really was. She had been putting on an act for so long to piss off her parents she never grew up. I really love her and JBG story , they were friends first and grew into love...

This was an awesome standalone sequel! The passion & connection between Jon and Yan developed nicely, and the culmination of their togetherness was explosive. On to Revelation!

This was a great 2nd book to the Iris Series, it was just as good if not better than the first. Loved Ayanna's and Jonathans story- it was sexy and captivating. I was sad when the book was over.
