ELENA/Athena is at the moment stuck in her wolf form. She's been trying to talk to her wolf to let her back out. The wolf side is upset and mad at how she was kept controlled. After eating a rabbit she turns control back to her human side.
LUKE is an alpha and the pack owns McEntire Security. They moved here from the Ozarks.On his way home he's waylaid by four wolves threatening him. He turns into his wolf and the others leave. He tells his beta about it and about the talk of moon dust. As they're discussing this another man walks in and hands him papers from the Wolf Council.They are being investigated for infringement into another territory.
Meanwhile ELENA/Athena learns that she's cursed. Now she needs to figureb out a way to break it. Her wolf tells her that she needs to return to the ancestral home. She also learns that a witch cursed her. The two sides of her agree that they are scared. After a meeting with the Council LUKE starts looking more into the wolves that say he's trespassing. They discover the territory they're in is listed as rogues and the leader is the one he met the first night.
Between this pack, the drug he's never heard of and ELENA/Athena keeping a problem she has their lives are becoming complicated. Will they figure it out before the curse takes complete control?
A fascinating story about wolves and the situations they find themselves in.

Elena and Luke’s Story . . .

Elena has found herself locked inside of her wolf, Athena, and unable to get back the control. The wolf had just swallowed a rabbit and is looking for a spot to nap and digest it without being discovered. She was angry that Elena wanted her poisoned and now that the wolf was in charge, Elena kept bothering her to talk. But when Elena said she wanted to return to her mate Luke, it sounded like a good idea and Athena let her take control again. Is this part of a black magic curse? The scary thing is that each time the wolf comes forward, it may remain permanently and Elena may not be able to shift back to herself again. Is there a way for her to fight this curse? Or will the other distractions such as the territorial dispute with another pack them keep them from solving this likewise serious issue? Keeping secrets is definitely not helping.

Being a shifter, it didn’t seem that Elena knew very much about the entire process at all. She seemed very weak and confused. Her mate Luke also didn’t seem sure about how to get her through what was happening. It felt like there was no help coming from any direction and this was not at all like the typical strong shifter story. Too many secrets being kept, not asking for help, and general confusion.

The Alpha Protector’s Cursed Mate is another fantastic book by Sloan Samuels. This book has a marvelous plot, wonderful characters and a breathtaking ending for the main characters. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. This book follows the journey of Elena and Luke. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know both Elena and Luke as well as witnessing their story coming to fruition throughout the book. I absolutely love that they have a happy ending with them being happy together. I absolutely loved reading this book, I found it to be quite entertaining and an absolute pleasure to read. This book was completely captivating from beginning to end and I didn’t want to set it down until I read the last page. I can’t wait to read more amazing books from this series in the future. I would gladly give this book as a suggestion for anyone who loves reading wolf shifter romances.

Fantastic book. It was a a steamy page turner and the suspense was totally insane and wild. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. ELENA/Athena and Luke was an Alpha of his pack. The chemistry between them was sexual attraction and the physical attraction was intense and they he heated between them was spicy romance and she might be his true mate. He wanted to protected his pack against his enemies. But he never thought that he would have falling in love with her a complicated wolf girl. Will she be hey come together in this moment of needs and more chaos and drama .

Good story, but not as good as the previous ones involving Luke and Elena!
It was sweet to see Elena finally getting in touch with her wolf. Also seeing Carmen and Elena get close gives hope for these characters finding their true place in the pack, and finally feeling accepted.
The friendship between Luke and Rucker really shines through in this one too!
I wish there had been more danger and suspense though out the story rather than a vague threat of danger.
I really want to find out more about Elena and Athena’s heritage though…and who is the witch that cursed them?? And why did it have Agatha freaked out???.

Great read!

Like all the others, this is a great story that will have you hooked in the first chapter. It was entertaining to see it all play out. It’s nice to revisit Elena and Luke and see how life is treating them and their pack. I did at times want to slap these two and make them talk to eachother but overall a fun story. Luke knows something is up but is clueless as he's dealing with his own secrets to know how to help Elena. Elena is having problems with her wolf and finds out shes cursed but doesn't want to burden Luke with it so she trys to break the curse on her own.

To me it seems like the series reads like a TV show. I kinda like that. Although the stories are short but you just jump right into the book and don't look back.

Elena is a shifter that is trapped in her wolf form because of a curse. However, when she talks to her wolf about her mate it allows her to take control, and they go to Luke. Elena needs to break the curse before her wolf takes over her body completely. Luke knows something is up but is clueless as to how to help. Can the curse be broken? Will they get a chance at a happy ending?

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Elena is looking for an amulet that Jeremy was using to channel her powers into. Elena feels that dark magic is taking her over. She knows that any shift maybe her last. Athena, her wolf, wants control, but Elena will not allow it. They are not on the same page. They are both trying to control one body and will not share. Both want a certain outcome but want to achieve in other ways. Luke is keeping secrets because he is seeing instability and does not know how to help.

Elena and Luke finally get their happily ever after ( at least for now ). This storyline revolves around the breaking of Elena’s curse and the Pack getting their territory dispute handled. Lots of adversity as well as blazing hot sex when Athena ( Elena’s inner wolf ) takes over and runs the show ! Love these characters. 5✨’s.

This was an ok read but also little hard to get into. I was slightly confused as to what and how the curse took place and why it was affecting her in such a way. Having your wolf take over control without her consent was very new and different for me. I do love this Author however and hope others enjoy this story as well.

It’s nice to revisit Elena and Luke and see how life is treating them and their pack. Nothing seems to have changed, there’s danger lurking in the shadows and unknown elements that need to be solved. It’s a fast paced read that will bring amusement, conflict and magic for your enjoyment.

Territory & a Curse

Luke continues to settle his pack into his new territory in New York. Luke’s claim to the territory is challenged by a local drug-dealing pack. Meanwhile, Elena is slowing losing her ability to be one with her wolf, Athena, who has been slowly taking control of Elena’s body.

Elena and Luke are having trouble and this one is full of intrigue, drama, and a curse. Was entertaining to see it all play out. I did at times want to slap these two but overall a fun story. Plus had to see if they could beet the curse and what other trouble they would get into.

This book was not as good as the previous books. The Alpha was wea which did not seem that way before. , The main female was also weak. She had a curse- knows next to nothing about magic, her wolf or even how to break this curse. Yet she will not ask for help. It was a hard book to finish i did finish the story. The last few chapters were the best part of the book But again this one on lacked what the other books had.

This is book five in this series District of Wolf Desires. This can be read as a standalone, but you will want to read them all. The story flows well, easy to follow. The characters are likeable and fit well together. A good read overall.
