I was hooked the first 100 pager or so and after that I just lost interest. I didn't want to pick the book up when i put it down and I had to force myself to read the rest of it just in the hope it would get better - it didn't.
Alec and Azalea was okay characters but there connection didn't feel like love to me. More like a fascination from Alec and Azalea was more a means to a want she saw in Alec.
The ending was nothing special and you can see it from a mile away.

April 21, 2025I was excited to read this, but after reading the kindle sample, I think I'm giving up. I really like Alec's POV and want to learn more about him and his world, but I don't like Az and I'm not enjoying her POV at all.
