Bar Crawl

Frankie and CJ couldn't be more different.

CJ, the narcissistic, sex-addicted drummer seems to value his drum set over the various women he takes home night after night.
English teacher Frankie finds solace inside books instead of people.

When Frankie rejects CJ, he makes it his mission not to let her get away again. This will come at a cost that CJ has long considered too high: honesty.
What happens when you lay all of your cards on the table, and the one person you want to believe you thinks you're playing yet another game?

Will she buy it? Find out what happens when Frankie slows down long enough to figure out if CJ is genuine in his intentions, or if she's just another stop on his life-long bar crawl.

I started writing poetry long before writing fiction. I firmly believe Poetry is a solid foundation for all other forms of writing. It taught me that a single word can make or break the world.

I write fiction because my characters have a story and they want me to tell it.

I hope you enjoy the pieces of my soul that I share with you.

I paid $2.99 for this one and I want my money back. It was not available on KU.
I was unable to connect with the heroine. I didn't like her. She was very judgmental. One of those heroines that thinks she is the smartest one in the room, when in reality she is not. I won't be reading the next book. I felt that the author tried too hard to make her this interesting person when she really wasn't.

30% - DNF

The blurb was...okay. It's not that interesting or exciting but still I gave the novel a try which I always do. I had this novel for a few days now and I got bored so I've decided to read this.

The novel started okay, but on chapter 7, the novel's still okay, it was flat, nothing to look forward to so I've decided to dro pit at 30%.

Bar Crawl is the perfect chaser to a fully stocked bar. Giving the reader a little extra, Bar Crawl is an enjoyable follow up to the November Blue Series.

CJ!! I love me some CJ! If we have learned anything from romance novels, the one take away is that the bad boys aren't always all that bad! Just enough bad to make it good and CJ makes it oh so good!

Kismet brings both CJ and Frankie together. When Frankie pulls the breaks, CJ is forced to show her what exactly she is missing. CJ wins all the prizes in this novella! I want to keep him for myself but I can't be selfish therefore I will put him on loan. She what a good person I am ;-)

Andrea Randall will always fall onto my must read now list and Bar Crawl was no exception. Even if you haven't read the November Blue Series, you will find Bar Crawl entertaining with two lovable characters. Ok, you may love one more then then the other but regardless it's well worth the read!

I’m just curious how Chasing Kane will play out now. Definitely going to read that next. Is he going to prove her right and be the shallow fuckboy he played at before her? Or will he be worthy of her after all?

EDiT...yeah, he fucks another chick on the road in book 2.

DNF @ 30%, felt like this was going nowhere, and the judgemental attitude of both h and H was driving me crazy.

One thing I love about Andrea Randall's stuff is that, she can weave characters together like no other. She leaves you wanting more. The way that she can write an ensemble is fantastic.

Frankie is someone I want to be friends with. She's nerdy, yet she's cool. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go for it. She's smart and she's not going to hide that for anyone. She's just one of those girls I'd wanna hang out with. Frankie's good people...plus, she has a gay best friend. Lesbehonest, what girl doesn't want/need a gay best friend??

CJ is your classic misunderstood bad boy. He's a douche. Like, seriously a douche. He's a manwhore, he's sexy and he knows it, he says what's on his mind and he was a way with the ladies that instantly makes their panties wet (hey, Frankie's words not mine). Oh, and did I mention he's a drummer? *swoon*

This novella is short and sweet, but packs a powerful punch. There's not a doubt in my mind that you'll walk away loving both CJ AND Frankie and if you're a fan of the November Blue series, you'll love the little snippets of the "others."

I know that Andrea really had no intentions of writing a novella about CJ, but the fans asked for it and well, if your fans want something, it's probably best to oblige, no? She totally left me loving CJ and the story that makes him who he is. I've got a new book boyfriend, and I'm not afraid to cut a bitch for him :)

I didn't think that I could love Andrea Randall and her writing anymore than I already did, but once again she has proven me wrong! I Loved CJ when we first met him and I am so glad that we got a bigger glimpse into his life. Frankie was the perfect match for him and I love their meetings and how they came to be. Bravo Andrea! Can't wait for what you have coming next!

Bar Crawl is a quick fun read. CJ the player and drummer from a local band has had his eye on Frankie for some time. Great story dealing with first impressions and getting past self set restrictions.

Bar Crawl was crawling with twist and turns you wouldn't expect.

CJ happens to remember Frankie as the one girl who turned him down. She was different, and he liked it. CJ is the typical drummer who takes different girls home from the bar. Frankie is the school teacher who loves books, but can't get past CJ's cover. All she knows him for is his womanizing ways.

CJ finally gets Frankie to talk to him for more than a few sentences, but both of their insecurities cause them to push the other away. Even their friends have to try to get them to meet up again. There's more than just a one-time deal between the two of them.

Sadly, the way the book ended, it felt like there was a large chunk of CJ and Frankie's relationship missing. I really wish there was more.

I just realized I never read this one. As part of the Rise Up anthology, Bar Crawl was a lovely addition along with other indie authors. The story follows CJ, cousin to Regan and BFs with Georgia (Sweet 42), and Frankie. Judging by his rockstar persona Frankie correctly assumes CJ is a manwhore, but he has a deep secret that changes her opinion drastically. Totally love that Frankie is a word nerd and English teacher.
