About the author

AC Ruttan has always loved things that go bump in the night and has been fascinated with the strange and unusual. Her dream job as a kid was to be busting ghosts or writing. Writing, was the more realistic choice.

She was born and raised in Toronto, but her family was spread all over Canada’s north, so she feels just at home in the boreal forest where she can see the lights dance.

AC lives in a haunted farmhouse on the west coast of Ontario with her husband, her three (almost grown) kids, her neurotic cockapoo and the house ghost (who is an ancestor) the family affectionately call George.

I liked the story and the characters were very cute together, but it could be a 4star if the world building was a bit better.
There was much information missing. Explanation about the wolves, alphas or wendigos would help the story feel more complete, because I was left with many questions after the story concluded. I liked both main characters, but they both could have a bit more depth. If the story was a 10-15 pages more we could get to know them better and get much more immersed into the story.
I hope the third installment of the Northern Realm is a bit longer and adds to this world, because it has potential.

Bernadette & Ben

Sasquatch's Claiming and is a great introduction to a new to me author. I really like AC's writing style, the pacing of Bernadette & Ben's story was wonderful, It moves quickly because it's a short, but it's worth the read. The characters and the storyline is very well written filled with drama, danger, steam and everything a reader could love. I highly recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed!.

Ben has to get his mate even though he was warned off her cause of the situation going on for the magical beings right now. But you don’t leave your mate behind and he can sense something isn’t right. So he stalks her to keep her safe.
Bernadette has felt things off for a while now. She has dreams about a being that makes her feel safe so when he appears at her bed one night she doesn’t let him go.

More than just naughty dreams

Sasquatch's Claiming: Northern Realm by AC Ruttan is part of the multi-author Mated to the Monster: Season 2 series. This is the first book I have read by this newer author and I found it entertaining, with deliciously hot dreams. The story is about Bernadette and Ben, she is a human and he is a Sasquatch. Thus they can never be....or can they find their way to a HEA that is perfect for them.

That was quite the story! Nothing like a taste of the forbidden, and our Ben cannot stay away. He has good reason, and Bernadette can’t seem to forget him either. The magic swirls around these two, and rules or not rules, they are going to be together! As things are revealed, it all makes perfect sense <3

A Mate for a Sasquatch

I enjoyed this book as he protected her from creatures of the night. She always felt like she was being followed. When her memories are restored she embraces the relationship with her lover. Finding out who was a danger to her brought out her inner strength and after ridding him they get their HEA.

I like this set up with the portals and women finding out who they really are, and discovering why they never felt like they fit in. Ben is a great character, and he was a strong protective mate.

I really liked Bernadette and Ben. They were sweet to each other. I like that the couple themselves never fought what they had. I'd love to get more about their sporty and particularly her background.

Defying the Rules for His Mate
Bernadette knows something is watching her. Ben knows that Bernadette is his mate - but he’s not the only one watching her. These two were sweeties, and I loved how Ben’s sole focus was on Bernadette’s happiness. An exciting and magical story.
