When people are bored, sometimes they come up with the most horrible ideas. These group of friends thought it was a good idea to go "ghost hunting" little did they know they would run into something that they had no business getting into.

This book was gory, especially that scene in the book store! Highly recommend

The book is a tad slow paced, but it's extremely easy to follow, and I flew through it. I'm so glad I was a boring kid that didn't need to run off exploring stuff that would end up with me stumbling upon a weird cult. I grew up next to a church, so this very well could have happened to me 😂

Stay out of the Forgotten Cemetery, and uhh maybe go read a book 😁😁 Perhaps a book about a forgotten cemetery?

You know how you sometimes come across a book/story and think to yourself, hmm, I could see this working as a movie? That’s the vibe I got from this one.

A group of friends decide to do something adventurous, like ghost hunting. Probably something many horror fans have thought about. They of course, run into trouble and cannot handle the situation… or can they? It’s got blood, gore, relationships, cults, and just a nice creepy vibe. Overall I found it to be a fun listen, almost lighthearted horror despite some of the… gore. The ending felt a little rushed, would have loved a more detailed ending, but overall it was a satisfying ending.

I listened to this on Audible, and the voice actor was great. I totally understand the need to slightly change your voice to differentiate the characters, but Dustin came off rather annoying, which I’m hoping was done on purpose.

A group of young adults are bored with their routine of getting together to drink, eat and watch horror movies. So, they decide to delve into ghost hunting! What could possibly go wrong? Little do they know that their hometown is the site of a bizarre cult centered in the local Pioneer Cemetery! The story moves at a fast pace and there is plenty of horror and gore.

However, I did get a bit tired of the lengthy descriptions of their drives through town (maybe if I was a local to the area it would have been more enjoyable). Also, so many descriptions of what foods they ordered from the local eateries and what they were drinking every time they got together! Also, the ending felt a little rushed to me and not very believable.

The narrator did a good job and kept the story moving. All in all, a fun read, but I think it could have been better with more historical background. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author.

This book was a lot of fun. We follow a group of friends who decide that they want to start doing some hunting for paranormal activity in their downtime. So they go out, get all the stuff and start looking for places to check out. As they decide to check out a local abandoned cemetery they come across a strange young girl. They leave shortly there after and the strange things start happening. As they go back they see something that does not seem real. As they try to figure it out and try to get others to be aware of what they saw, nobody seems to care. The question is will anyone believe
them or will they have to fight this evil on their own.

The highlights for me with this story were the spooks and investigations. The areas and events that were being investigated by the friend group were highly original and made me need to finish the story. The ending was very satisfying. I loved the build up and about half way through the story really kicks in to high gear with a great payoff.

What detracted for me was how one-note the female character was, and the many, many references to drinking.

Overall, a fun read and a good book to listen to on a road trip. Definitely worth checking out.

I got a code to listen to the book by the author. All thoughts on this book are my own.

This book was a mixed bag for me. I loved the premise of the story. The town’s dark secret was a great piece of the story!

I didn’t like how one-dimensional the main female character. Honestly, none of the friend group were very likeable at all.

I listened to the book rather than read it, so I don’t know if it was the narrator or the way it was written, but the dialog was a bit weird for me.

I do, however, think that this book would be amazing as a movie! It was an entertaining story and a quick listen!

I honestly was trying to figure out some of the places that may have been used in this book...however haha it stumped me...in a good way because now I'll want to reread it to try and figure them out. It was such a good read considering it's based on true moments and certain people. Had me on the edge of my seat. I was really trying hard to figure the places out though haha...maybe if I ever figure them out I may look into them myself.

Thank you for the chance to read your book!
