I write about the mysteries of everyday life — the little cracks where something unexpected slips through.

Lives hang in the balance, caught in the space between what is and what might be.

With a background in radio journalism, I specialise in short stories, but am currently working on my first novel - excited to see where that journey takes me.

A very readable collection of short stories, well written and observed, some with unexpected twists. Clare gets under the skins of her protagonists and leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed this selection.
