When Emma Wright’s small-town bakery becomes the target of a massive redevelopment project, she’s determined to protect the one thing that connects her to her late mother and her close-knit community. Enter Liam Hawthorne—a devastatingly handsome billionaire whose name is plastered all over the plans to turn her charming neighborhood into a sterile urban hub.
Liam’s life has always been about success and strategy, but meeting Emma throws him completely off balance. Her fiery determination and unapologetic passion for her craft make him question everything he thought he wanted. Sparks fly as their worlds collide, but their undeniable chemistry is matched only by their stubbornness.
Caught between loyalty to her town and the growing pull of her heart, Emma must decide if she can trust the man whose plans could ruin everything she’s worked for. And as Liam discovers the joy of building something real, he realizes he’ll have to risk it all—his career, his reputation, and his heart—to win her over.
With equal parts swoon-worthy romance, laugh-out-loud moments, and heartfelt charm, Sweet Haven is a story of love, second chances, and finding home where you least expect it. Will Emma and Liam fight for their happily ever after, or will their differences tear them apart?
Perfect for fans of cozy romance with a side of baked goods and a whole lot of heart!
Please note, this is a sweet romance. There is no spice here, except for the ingredients in the cakes!
This book was such a sweet and cozy read for me!I finished it in one sitting, and not once did I feel bored.Emma was a true savage—sassy, independent, and confident. Her bakery,Sweet Haven, felt like home, radiating the kind of warmth and charm I’d love to experience in real life.If I could visit a place like that even once,I’d be thrilled!Emma always stood up for herself, prioritizing her self-worth above all else.Yet,despite her strong personality, she struggled to keep herself from showing her softer side to Liam. But how could she not?Liam was such a caring, kind, and handsome guy!He wasn’t just some businessman in a suit making deals—he truly cared. And then there was Titan—an absolute bundle of joy!He added so much warmth and depth to the story. He was my ideal dog—big, friendly, and adorable!I also loved Emma’s backstory, especially her bond with her mother. Her mother was incredibly supportive, and their shared love for Lily was heartwarming.Flowers like Lily don’t demand much to grow, yet they brighten the world just by being there.Every detail of this book made it unforgettable.A perfect, heartwarming read!
2 main characters and a dog With that how could anybody go wrong. The characters are well written Especially the dog I really fell in love with this dog in the book. It's a shame when people realize they just have to be honest and the story the main man He wasn't quite honest at 1st but from that love grew. It's a short but very sweet story I hope you enjoyed too
Writing and publishing is such a huge feat and accomplishment. I respect everyone who puts their pain, sweat, and tears into the process! For what is was, a short, sweet novella about a small town baker and rich business man, it was cute. But the characters fell really flat and the story was utterly predictable. It just didn't hold my attention well and I found myself constantly putting it down and only finishing it to mark it as read.
Liam is the epitome of a businessman who doesn’t care how he gets money, until he meets Emma. Their meet cute was great! Emma’s consistent distrust of him, annoying after a while. Especially with Liam constantly doing stuff to help her! When he did the grand gesture, it was obvious. Emma still wasn’t ready. I liked the ending though!
I really wanted to like this but I ended up not enjoying it. The pacing of the story felt too rushed and the relationship between Emma and Liam wasn’t well developed. I also didn’t like either of the characters besides Titan.
I would give it 1.5 if I could...it wasn't offensive and I didn't dnf it but I mainly pushed through because it was short. The couple had the same conversation over and over but also we as the reader didn't get to see the relationship build at all? It was cringe af too...
It was a cute little book (less than 100 pgs!), had its really cute moments. It did have almost absolutely no character development tho! It starts rather abruptly and feels rushed. Very hallmarky with a sweet meet cute!
Good if looking for a quick read. It reminds me of those Hallmark movies you watch for a feel good moment. Predictable of course but you still like to watch them or in this case read them.
