Beginnings

Rate this book
Step back into The Gloaming and settle in as Nat, Dave, Nero, and Ava get the opportunity to tell the stories about how each of them first met Jason Bishop in their own words.

From the back alleys of New Orleans, to a working farm outside the city, to deep in the twisted Bayou, Beginnings pulls back the curtain and shines some light on how the people at Bishop's Crossing found each other, and what forces were at work to tear them apart.

Beginnings is book two in the Bishop's Crossing series. Though there is a brief recap of book one in the prologue, this book is best read second in the series (after Bishop's Crossing).

Beginnings has much darker content than Bishop's Crossing. Reader discretion is advised. Trigger warnings are listed within the book.

D.M. Mewha

D.M. Mewha lives in the magical land of "The DC Suburbs" where he does battle with monsters such as "Beltway Traffic", and "Wow, Everything Is Too Expensive" with the help of his talented and far-too-patient wife and an assorted menagerie of pets that she threatens to make weirder as time goes on (people don't really want skunks as pets, do they?). He writes sci-fi and fantasy in a variety of flavors, and is a certified TTRPG nerd who dabbles in some table top wargaming, which sounds better than "he plays with little plastic guys and makes them go 'pew pew'."

Author also writes as D.M. Mewha

This prequel is a thrilling ride! The fast-paced action kept me hooked from start to finish. Its a little dark, a little funny, but balanced. The author masterfully fleshes out Nat, Ava, Neri and Dave, giving them and Jason Bishop (from Bishop's Crossing) a compelling backstory that perfectly complements their role in the original. This is a must-read for fans of having fun!
