False Flag

Rate this book
A terror plot in Germany threatens to shatter an already fragile global peace. Russian mercenaries conspire with notorious terrorists to strike critical NATO infrastructure. A new President who promised to end America's endless wars is trapped between his pledge to the people and the hawkish advisors circling the Oval Office. A climax that is shockingly all too real.

Legendary CIA operative Mathias Menzies returns to the shadowy world of international espionage. Paired with Emma Carter, a brilliant intelligence officer with something to prove, they unravel a conspiracy far more sinister than a simple terrorist attack. Their investigation exposes a carefully orchestrated false flag operation. An operation engineered by the powerful forces who thrive in the chaos of conflict and endless the underground intelligence agencies of the 'The Deep State'.

From Washington to Moscow, Berlin and Geneva's deceptively tranquil shores, Mathias and Carter race to expose the architects of this deadly conspiracy. But in a world where loyalty is not what it seems, can Mathias and Carter prevent a war that could engulf millions?

From the author of American Sniper comes False Flag, Book II in the AMERICAN PATRIOT Series featuring Mathias Menzies. A gripping political thriller that explores the dark underbelly of government power, the complexities of loyalty and betrayal, and the battle between good and evil in a world ruled by those who profit from perpetual conflict and chaos.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story revolves around an individual's plan to create a new war for America to be involved in. In the last election a new President was elected and he promised to get the country out of foreign wars. This individual was working behind the scenes with a group of terrorists.

Mathias who had left the CIA was brought in to try and cause the planned attack to be stopped. He was partnered with Emma, a CIA Analyst to accomplish the mission. At the same time, the Russians were also aware of the planned attack and they sent their own team to stop it as well. Eventually after there was only one Russian left, they got together to once they determined the site of the attack was in Germany.

Discover who was behind the plot, what the event was that would bring the Americans into a war and how it all worked out in the end.

The story is well done and should be read,

Quite a few parts of False Flag resemble reading the news and I honestly prefer to believe that so many threats and wars that we've seen through the years were not only ignited by greedy people on positions of power. The plot is well thought and put together, it's fast-paced, well-written, and grabs the reader's attention from the beginning. Good entertainment! Recommended!
I thank the author for the free copy of this book.

I enjoyed the previous book featuring Mathias Menzies, American Sniper, and wanted to like this one. But after dipping into it again and again over a period of 3 months and reaching 60% I finally realised I wasn't even remotely invested in either the story or the characters and decided to call it quits. It's not that it's a bad book just a little too convoluted for me to keep up with and while some parts were page turners others didn't hold my interest.

A thrill ride to the end. A beaten and broken man is charged with trying to figure out the conspiracy to stop WWIII. Can he do it with his rookie partner? Does he trust the US government? Does he trust anyone? Terrorists abound in this fast paced novel, while I try to wait patiently for the sequel.

Great storyline

Good characters, a few surprises, and some suspense. Kept me up late reading - hated to put the book down. The ending is making me look forward to reading the next book!

I really loved "False Flag"! I liked it so much that I had to get "American Sniper", the first book in the series. I can't wait for more of this series!

Great characters blended with a very believable story line make this a wonderful read!

A really interesting book with a lot of mystery.

This book was like a preview for what ever is in the next story. There didn't seem to be a reason for what happens except to let you believe it could happen again.

Too realistic

Treason, adultery, power players, dirty politicians...and a story almost as convoluted and raw as today's political landscape. The deep state is real
