In a quiet, seemingly idyllic town, a brutal and cunning serial killer leaves behind a trail of horror.
Three women missing.
All brutally tortured.
No matching motive.
At least that is what Grace sees when she looks into Dale Young’s eyes.
When the bodies start surfacing, the only telltale sign this was the work of a serial killer is the matching tattoo on the skin, each body bearing the same chilling signature, leaving the Bridgeton community paralyzed with fear.
The first, a brunette drenched in blood, her body so marred that the origin of her wounds is indiscernible, yet the killer's defining mark stands out—a grotesque calling card. The second, a woman with black corkscrew curls, a stream of blood spilling down her chin. The third, a blonde with haunting eyes, her neck bruised with black and blue prints and her body marked identically to the others.
As always, Grace sees the visions before anyone knows these women are even dead.
She knows who committed the crime but she doesn’t know how or why.
New detective, Cassidy Shepherd knows Grace’s secret. So when the terse woman makes a threat, Grace has no choice but to partner up with her, and guide her through the investigation using her gift.
But the closer they get to the truth, the more they uncover about their own hidden scars, fears, and the lengths they’re willing to go to uncover justice. The killer’s twisted motives begin to surface, exposing a terrifying connection that Grace never saw coming.
What they uncover will shatter their understanding of the victims, the killer, and the cost of redemption.
Missing Women is a heart-pounding thriller about survival, obsession, and the dangerous pursuit of the truth—where every clue leads to a revelation more horrifying than the last.

I've missed a few of Grace's books, but really enjoyed this one. I love how she has matured from a rookie to a mom, partner, friend and detective. And the balancing that each part of her persona needs to suit each role. The story moves along well and the introduction of both Cassidy and the Chief retiring leads to some complex situations as to what really matters to Grace. I found the motivation of Dale Young both creepy and yet in a way justified to his way of thinking. I also loved the linking of characters and places from The Town series. I can't wait to see what direction Graces' life takes next.
Another worthy story written by Kate Anslinger. This one has multiple people involved as Grace comes clean to her dear friend Barb while intertwining Grace Mackenna and the Town series characters. Just when you think you figured out who the killer is and why, be prepared for some pretty deep twists. Totally not what you expect.
I love this series and have read all of them so far. This is the best one to date and I am already for the next one. I love to read especially a good story with a plot that I cannot figure out right away. The McKenna mystery series does not disappoint. I recommend these books to anyone who loves a good story line.
Early Reader🤗WOW!! Best book in this series yet!!! So excited when I got to one of the “twists” and then bam 💥 here comes another twist just as unexpected!!!! Loved reading this most recent release and getting to know Grace and crew better. Completely immersed in the world of Bridgeton and its characters! 5 🌟 LOVED IT!!!! Bravo Kate👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🩷🫶🏼Each book gets better & better!!
Another great book in the McKenna Mystery series. It's so hard to keep the reader guessing when the MC already knows who did it, but the author pulls it off every time
