Priceless paintings…
Done in a master’s hand…
Revealed two centuries after they were created…

A collection of paintings are complicating Ivan Everley's life in ways he never could've imagined a few months ago.

More accurately, it's the gorgeous art specialist from the University of London responsible for the "it's complicated" on his socials. But that's okay with him...

Because before Gabrielle appeared at his doorstep one dark and stormy summer night? He. Never. Felt. This. Good.

The fiery art historian has turned his world completely upside down, and she's done it all while capturing his wounded heart.

But Gabrielle is sporting a wounded heart of her own, and she’s terrified of risking it again.

Will he hurt her as others have done? Or is Ivan Everley a lot more than the aristocratic playboy he appears in the tabloids?

Gabrielle will need to discover exactly who Ivan, the man, is for herself.

But their future isn't set, and there is some serious trouble afoot...because Lord Rothvale's art collection presents more mysteries with every painting Gabrielle discovers tucked away inside his private sanctuary along the North Irish coast.

As Gabrielle delves deeper into her work, Ivan is hoping the mystery behind his paintings takes her a very long time to solve so he can keep her tucked away inside his private sanctuary along the North Irish coast...with him, forever.

Lord Rothvale has finally met his destiny.

And her name is Gabrielle Hargreave.

A love beyond any price…
Lives intertwined over the ages…
Destinies of the heart and of treasures hidden away…

I’d like to have your gorgeous body tied to my bed while I f*ck you this time. Knowing you’re going nowhere until I release you.. -IVAN EVERLEY

Raine Miller has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too! Granted Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. A former teacher, she's now writing sexy romance stories full time. She has a handsome prince of a husband, two brilliant sons, and two bouncy Italian Greyhounds to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but gratefully have never asked to read any, thank God! Raine loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books. Ok, this is ridiculous. I'm sorry but no matter how "amazing" the book may be, lying to your readers then disappointing them again and again and again...I don't know what to think. I'm fickle on this sort of thing. Disappoint me once, shame on me however this is a disappoint me three, four,....FIVE times. Come on!!! Now, I really don't care when this book or others come out. I'll give my money to an author who doesn't disappoint and lie to their fans.

Book blurb 1
Ivan Everley, 8th Baron Rothvale, will tell you himself he's the LAST person on earth who should have custody over a priceless collection of art, but since when does the irony of life ever fall in line with what somebody wants? Ivan might be a Lord according to British law, but he's just a regular guy with an appetite for speed...and women...and some dominating kink in the bedroom. Yeah, just a regular guy who happens have Olympic gold medals stashed away in his house. Riiiight. His public profile is merely a sham--his private life a carefully guarded secret borne out of the pain of betrayal. Even his famous cousin, Ethan Blackstone, doesn't know the whole story about the man he considers a brother.

Lord Ivan has a plethora of problems piled up to his aristocratic eyeballs--that only get more complicated when a beautiful art conservationist shows up to appraise his inherited collection of paintings--but that doesn't stop him from digging himself in deeper. Nope, not a bit. Once Ivan gets a taste of Gabrielle Hargreave, mistaken identity or not, he can't think of anything else but how perfect she fit in his arms the night he first laid his eyes on her.

He wants her, and what Ivan wants, Ivan gets. He is Lord Ivan after all. Gabrielle soon discovers that the Dom in him isn't taking 'no' for an answer. But, yet, Gabrielle Hargreave might just teach our discontent lord a thing or two about life, and about himself, and help them both discover the undeniable truth in what it means to find something genuinely...priceless.

Like many of you, I’d originally long given up on this series. But low and behold, one day on my Amazon recommended pre-orders this book showed up-- and let me tell you, it was one hell of a welcome surprise!! Author, Raine Miller delivered!!

Be-Funky-collage

11576860

I’ve been married to Raine Miller’s books ever since Ethan and Brynne and have racking my brain for 6 long years of where Brynne’s bestie, Gabrielle “Gaby” Hargreave, and Ethan’s cousin, Lord Ivan Everley, 13th Baron Rothvale’s, story may go. That’s how imprinted these characters were in my heart.♥

Now after a long drought, My Lord will finally be released and I couldn't be happier to get my grabby hands on it!!

11576860

My Lord takes place right after Priceless with Ivan asking Gaby to be his submissive and Gabby gaining sole, exclusive access to Ivan’s private art collection in his house.

My Lord explores more of Ivan and Gaby's decadent relationship, with them learning more about each other and waltzing into uncharted territory for them both.

It also unwinds more on Ivan’s backstory, not so much Gaby's, shedding more light on Ivan and even bringing forth a past adversary looking to destroy everything that Ivan holds dear.

This definitely anted up the stakes toward Ivan coming into terms of his feelings for Gabrielle and where she placed in his heart. Is she just his latest obsession or is she something more?

What Ivan does know, is that she is his. His beautiful, exquisite, priceless artifact that he has no plans to share with anyone...Someone, he could not and would not get away. He was her lord, and she his lady, and he would not rest until he made sure that all obstacles and dangers would not come in the way toward protecting what is his.

“Gabrielle was the one exception….With her, the words were necessary. I needed to hear them because if she used them on me...then it made her….my lady.”

“I had plans to win her heart and make her mine.”

11576860

#MY THOUGHTS: Hands down, a worthwhile awaited wait from author Raine Miller! Ivan and Gaby complimented each other so well! They were each other’s ying and yang.
And don’t even get me started on their sex scenes!! Woah!!

description

Ivan. That man is sex on legs! I enjoyed his forwardness with Gabrielle, even if he didn't feel like he deserved her. He was a gallant and unapologetic character that went against his solitude nature and turn over ever he's over known just to be with Gabrielle.

"I don't deserve her, but even so, I'm taking her."

I loved seeing his Dom side. But I also loved seeing his vulnerable side. He felt very well written and balanced.

“She’d done some….to my heart. Made it vulnerable again. The one part I did not care for at all.

unnamed

As for Gaby, she was the biggest enigma to me even as the story was being told by duo (hers and Ivan’s) character views. She, I couldn’t help but wonder over and over, what happened that she would never want to return to the United States? What shame does she carry that bars her from ever wanting to set foot on American soil again? Awww, ssoooo many questions…

2363e9c25092e72a26fadef31f80d6d0

“And right now, for our immediate future in this room together, he would be my lord.”

That all said, oddly enough, some of my guiltiest pleasures from this read were not only the main characters, Ivan and Gaby, but also the paintings themselves. They were depicted so vividly and beautifully. Almost like poetry. The art subject (whom I will not divulge of who/what it was) of a lot of those said paintings, felt as if she was brought to life in front of my eyes and made Ivan’s and Gaby’s love story even more beautiful and breathtaking for me with her character’s story tie-ins. If you don’t get what I mean by this, make sure you cover all of author Raine Miller’s books related to this series before you jump into Priceless and My Lord. It makes the books not only easier to follow along but more meaningful for fans of this series.

ALL IN ALL? One click this gem now!!!

“This amazing connection the two of us had found together in the magical land of Donadea, in a castle filled with priceless treasures, hidden away in an enchanted mist where nothing from the outside could break through the magic protecting it.”

Do you know this magical and addictive feeling when you open a book and get sucked right in from the start, when your every waking thought is utterly consumed by the story and you can't put it down until you've read the final words 'the end'? That happend to me with My Lord by Raine Miller and let me tell you that it was something of the marvelous. I've patiently waited 6 years for the continuation of Gabrielle and Ivan's epic story but as soon as I started reading the opening lines it felt like only 6 seconds have passed. And that's thanks to Raine's exceptional talent. Her prose is a beauty to behold. My Lord is a very sensual and steamy romance. From the poignant writing and great dialogue to the breath-taking scenery and charming, multi-layered characters this book is nothing short of pure, unadulterated perfection.

Ivan Everley, Lord Rothvale XIII, has an invaluable collection of paintings at his Donadea residence in Northern Irland. His life is already complicated enough with death threats and tabloid scandals but it truly gets completely turned upside down when he makes an offer to Gabrielle Hargreave, a beautiful and alluring American art student and conservationist, to appraise and catalog his art while exploring the undeniable sexual chemistry between them. Ivan is drawn to Gaby like a moth to a flame, not only craving her gorgeous body but also admiring her wickedly sharp wit and sense of humor. But Gabrielle has been hurt in the past and that's why she is terrified of risking her heart again to a dominating man like Ivan. But his lordship is a master of persuasion who will do everything in his power to make the lovely Miss Hargreave his one and only Lady Rothvale.

I worship the ground Ivan Everley walks on. He is a swoon-worthy, deliciously kinky and dreamily romantic hero. Carrying a title of nobility in the 21st century might feel like a heavy, inescapable responsibility to Ivan but it doesn't make him an ungrateful, spoiled brat. He could be demanding and temperamental at times but Gaby intuitively knew how to handle him. Ivan had a privileged upbringing but lacking of love, affection and any guidance. Despite this and other tragedies in his life he became a charming, generous guy with an easygoing personality. I admired this about him. I've absolutely adored Gabrielle Hargreave. She is a wonderful and extraordinary woman. Gaby is sexy, educated, passionate and adoringly nerdy. All characteristics that make her a perfect match for the dashing Lord Rothvale. Although Ivan made her feel beautiful and cherished all the time Gaby still found herself unworthy of his affection. She was ashamed of her sins which hung heavy on her heart and for which she felt she must atone. I loved the flirty banter, dirty talk and the teasing between Gaby and Ivan. The cocky British Lord and the sassy American student were destined soulmates. Their feelings for each other were genuine and their connection one of a kind.

Standing ovations for my queen and ultimate unicorn author Raine Miller for delivering another fantastic and masterfully crafted story. Her captivating writing is going to touch the deepest recesses of your heart and soul and make you fall madly and irrevocably in love with Ivan and Gaby. If you're looking for an outstanding read then you need to pick up My Lord. But make sure to read Priceless first otherwise you will be lost! I'm giving this precious gem 5+ shiny stars and shelving it among my top favorite reads of 2021.

Oh my Lord! This extremely erotic and incredibly romantic book was truly something of the marvelous. I was waiting with bated breath for the continuation of Ivan and Gaby's intriguing story and I'm happy to report that the wait was so worth it. I still have hearts in my eyes and butterflies in my belly after finishing it. It kind of feels like I've been hit by Cupid's arrow and I'm not even kidding! It was that brilliant! Well, scratch that, it was more than that, it was everything I've ever dreamed or hoped for. And I don't say this lightly! With this mysterious, sensual and sexy story, Raine Miller has proved once again, why she's one of the most talented and exceptional authors in the romance genre.

Even though book two is being published six years after Priceless, I had no difficulties to re-connect with the characters again. The story takes off right where Priceless ended, with Ivan making an offer to Gabrielle to stay at Donadea to evaluate the incredible art collection at his Northern Ireland estate while they also get to know each other more intimately. Ivan knows that by some devine intervention or maybe even fate he was given a second chance with Gabrielle. This time he's determined to do things right and keep her. After all, Gaby is the woman who has turned his world upside down by reawakening his wounded heart. Ivan knows that Gabrielle is scared because she's made some mistakes in the past and has been hurt badly. He will do everything in his power to earn her trust and show her how much she and her presence at Donadea mean to him.

Ivan Everley, Lord Rothvale XIII is probably one of the most intriguing and delicious heroes Raine Miller has ever written. I've got a seriously huge crush on him! He's a man with many faces and facattes. His private life is a carefully guarded secret, full of betrayal and pain. On the outside, he's the proper and a little rude aristocrat who's used to getting what he wants. But on the inside, he was a very sweet, funny and incredibly protective person. Even though his sexual appetite runs a little on the kinky, dominant side he could be very romantic too!

Gabrielle Hargreave was the epitome of a great heroine. I loved everything about her, especially her humor, wit and big heart. Even though she was beautiful on the outside, she felt anything but on the inside. She's feeling deep shame and regret because of some things that happend to her, making her guard her heart with everything she has. But in the end, she couldn't resist Ivan and the strong and undeniable pull between them. He made her feel beautiful and desirable like no man has ever before!

I could gush about these two all day long! They shared such a special, deep and entirely unique connection. Their sexual chemistry was out of this world. Some of their sex scenes were so scorching hot and sensual, they made me fan myself and crave an ice cold drink, while others were so incredibly romantic they made me swoon! Even though Ivan and Gaby didn't have the best start, they were simply inevitable! Their compatibility inside and outside of the bedroom was one of a kind. They instinctively knew what the other wanted and desperately needed. Ivan made Gaby feel safe and cherished, while she gave him the kind of affection and happiness he always wanted but never had!

Now all I want is to shout it from the rooftops how freaking amazing My Lord was and that everybody needs to buy and read it asap!!! It's a brilliant book not to be missed, because once you've had the pleasure to read it, you’ll never be able to let it go. Thank you dear Raine for another mind blowing and absolutely unputdownable read. Your ability to create characters and stories that get so deep under my skin, they literally become a part of my own being, is truly remarkable. 5+ stars for my first top favorite read of 2021!

**Sidenote: Please make sure to read Priceless first before diving into My Lord!**

A love found.

The love I have for Raine and The Rothvale Legacy is huge. Only having recently discovering her stories I am now hooked.

The lead characters Ivan and Gabrielle, have me enthralled. I believe fate set the path they are on. The chemistry between these two is sizzling, you can feel connection they have and knowing their journey is only beginning and there’s more to come has me waiting anxiously.

It’s a pleasure to be able to read a story that has you engaged, invested and intrigued. The history behind the Rothvale name and the painter Mallerton is a story in its self and I need to know more.

Ivan’s past has been explained but it’s Gabrielle now who I need the answers for.

It’s a yes from me.

So it's no secret that I am in LOVE with Ivan Everly, Lord Rothvale XIII so it's not surprising that I absolutely LOVED My Lord!! My love developed for this sexy, long haired man decorated with so many "talents" in the first book of this series Priceless by the amazing Raine Miller. Please, please read this first and your love affair will begin as well for Ivan and Gabrielle.

This incredulous story picks up right where Priceless left off with Gabrielle and Ivan in Donadea, Ireland and that's all I will divulge of their exciting, beautiful, thought provoking weekend as you will want to experience their steamy relationship in the purest form.

Gabrielle, the beautiful, sexy art conservator and Lord Ivan are taking a chance with each other to overcome their "difficult" troubled pasts but soon find themselves immersed in a passionate, romantic relationship. Their level of intimacy and sexual connection is off the charts, it is simply explosive!! Ivan is so swoon worthy with his actions, words, sentiments and gestures that are so endearing toward Gabrielle. She herself is enjoying teasing him and their banter and sexual innuendos are drawing these two lost souls into each others hearts. But through it all we begin to understand more and more from both Ivan's and Gabrielle's past which sets the tone for their sensual relationship. Ivan is on a quest to make Gabrielle "my lady" and Gabrielle is certainly wanting to say "yes my lord". But there is mystery, intrigue and suspense looming and perhaps danger in the horizon. Ivan will do anything to protect his Lady and Gabrielle will do the same for her Lord.

Raine Miller has prevailed in giving us a magical, heartfelt story that has us on the edge of our seat from start to finish. She has created these sensual characters that you instantly fall in love with and cherish. This 5 star read is captivating and has you wanting more and more from the exceptional Ivan and Gabrielle and is truly "something of the marvelous"!! The saga and beautiful adventures will continue with this beloved couple in the next book Heart and Arrow but until then "I will miss" you Ivan!!

“Something of the marvelous!”

OOOOO!!! Ivan & Gaby were my FAV side characters in the Blackstone Series!!! When Priceless came out, I was chomping at the bit to get more inside both of their heads!! My Lord is here for us now after much anticipation!! The story picks up right where Priceless leaves off. My ABSOLUTE fav part of this story is how the art and history show glimpses of past characters from a historical by Raine. You do not need to have read The Muse, but if you haven’t, you will want to after reading this!! The story will take on so much more meaning!! Oh & I almost forgot- the mere mention of Jeremy’s name, from The Undoing of a Libertine, had me swooning!! I was absolutely giddy during certain parts recalling the characters & it’s so cool to see how they intertwine!

I loved the banter & teasing between Ivan and Gaby, and how could I not mention the sexy times!!! There is more to come in the next book & I can’t wait to delve deeper!!!

Mr. Finnegan....you are the wise side character in the movies whom everyone loves instantly!!

Zeke & Zuly!!! Smiled when I read their names!!!!!

A must read by Raine Miller!!! I did re-read Priceless recently, but I think it would have been easy to jump back in again even if I hadn’t! Can’t wait for Heart & Arrow!!

FAV QUOTES:
“My soul felt free for the first time in longer than I could recall.”

“And that was the difference. More. I just wanted more from her without even knowing exactly what more exactly meant.”

“Something of the marvelous.”

“Closing my eyes, I concentrated hard on everything tangible I could frame into my senses so I could tuck this moment away in my memories for safekeeping.”

“On the Jane Austen novel worthiness scale? A solid ten.”

*****5 something of the marvelous stars******
Ah to get into this world again is simply reading bliss. My emotions were all over the place the minute I started reading Raine Miller's words again and entered Ivan and Gabrielle's world again. There is so much nostalgia attached to these two characters, so much background, romance, and emotions attached to them. They have a chemistry like no other and their pasts with dark pasts, they are there to console each other, and give to one another everything. I just got chills reading about Graham and Imogene through Gaby's discoverings while at Donadea. This was a book that filled my heart with joy, love, nostalgia and I am so happy that we will be getting more because I never want their story to end. Ah my heart is bursting right now. This was epic!

Love the cover!! So there appears to have been quite a gap between books but it has no effect for me since I just read Priceless. This book was marvelous!

What did I like? Part two has Gabrielle thrown together for another attempt to be wooed by Ivan. A dominant side to Ivan comes out and the two formulate more of a relationship. I enjoyed the bedroom scenes and the easy relationship the couple has.

Would I buy or recommend? Yes, after the first installment this book just needed to be read. I found it easy to get back into and remembered the first book without rereading. Four stars!

I received a complimentary copy from the author and voluntarily left a review.

Oh My Lord. Raine Miller is back and I'm beyond pleased. Despite there being 6 years between books, she picks up right where we left off in Priceless (which must be read first) and gives us more of the intense love affair between Ivan Everley and Gabrielle Hargreave. These two met under crazy circumstances but now as Ivan decides he not only wants but needs more time with Gaby, she is swept away to an ancestral estate in the beautiful countryside of Ireland. They have an extremely erotic few days together, meeting each other's needs like no one else before.

I loved their incredible chemistry and the way they were both so taken aback that they could find in the other what they didn't even know they needed. They are both very serious about their professions and the way they opened up before during and after some glorious lovemaking was quite extraordinary to witness. I'm not sure I've ever read about a couple who could be so honest about their lives both in and out of the bedroom when in fact they were being wildly passionate at the time. Add in the kink that Ivan is desperate to enjoy with Gaby and you have quite the heady kind of romance.

Ivan and Gaby are just at the beginning of what could be a forever kind of love. However, I was hopeful for more admissions in this installment and honestly didn't realize this would be book 2 of at least 3 or 4. This book felt more as a set-up for things to come and that's ok. But I will need a bit more in terms of revelations and interactions, especially with Ethan, Brynne, Ben and Gaby's dad. However, Finnegan was a definite highlight and such a sweetheart and overall, I enjoyed how comfortable Gaby felt at Donadea and how easily she seems to be able to fit in the challenging world that is Ivan's life.

The Lord and the art conservator could have the future both thought was not even a possibility, but time will tell whether they will survive what will undoubtedly occur as the secrecy and privacy they long for can hopefully withstand the world outside their cozy bubble.

I'm thrilled Raine Miller is back in the Rothvale world once more. She's been missed and I look forward to what is to come.

4 solid stars!

The passion and love I felt for this couple can't be relayed on paper, but I'll try! Being immersed in the Rothvale world again has been pure and utter bliss. The continuation of Ivan and Gabrielle's story has been long anticipated and there was no disappointment in pages.

Set in the current day, this beautiful story reads like a historic romance. The majestic Rothvale mansion and lush grounds brought forth feelings of nostalgia as we are reminded of Ivan's family connections to past characters of Author Raine Miller.

As Gabrielle basks in awe and wonder at the findings at Donadea, and gradually realizes Ivan's heritage and who he truly is, we get to relive the unwavering love of Graham and Imogene as we watch another love story unfold.

I loved this story, loved this couple, and loved the romance of it all. I enjoyed spending a whole book with them as they discovered each other and watch their love start to blossom. I loved how they interact, their teasing nature, their sexual compatibility, and the ease with which they relate to one another.  They are building a strong foundation and I can't wait to see where their future goes. I can't wait to see the treasures that will be unveiled at Donadea, and I can't wait to revisit the past through Gabrielle's eyes and her discoveries.

5 Star Review My Lord (Rothvale Legacy #2) by Raine Miller
Having read the first book in the Rothvale Legacy, Priceless I couldn’t wait to see what Raine Miller had in store for Ivan Everley, 13th Baron Rothvale. If you haven’t read Priceless, then STOP as you need to read that book first.
Ivan appears to have it all, but does he? There is so much more to him than first appears and as he and Gabrielle (Gabby) Hargreave come face to face again, their relationship will change yet again.
Ivan is delighted to have Gabby within his reach again but Gabby is terrified of taking another chance with Ivan. However Ivan is just as determined that Gabby will be the future Lady Rothvale.
The road to happiness will be rocky for Ivan an Gabby, there will mystery, intrigue suspense and danger as outside forces work to keep them apart and destroy their happiness. The banter was witty, the chemistry intense and I was fully invested in the story that Ms.Miller wove.
Raine Miller’s writing style is effortless and she had me totally hooked in this book from start to finish and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this review. Two things occurred upon the immediate completion of this book: 1) I silently screamed NOOOOO because I didn’t want it to end and 2) I got goose bumps.

This is the 2nd installment of I-don’t-know-how-many Raine is giving us of Ivan and Gabby but, to be honest, I’d read a million installments of the adventures of these two. You must read the previous novels tied to the series to really grasp what is going on, both with the characters and the place.

Very early on, we learn why the book is titled the way it is (and if you think you know, there is more to it). We also jump right back in to where we left off from Priceless. The book goes by fast, both in its written mastery and the fact that we’re only covering just the two days after Brynn and Ethan’s wedding. However, the intimacy you are witness to between G and I is quite literally breathtaking at times. I am sad because I need and want more but content to see the progress and growth between these two amazingly written characters!

I cannot even remember why i wanted to much to read the sequel of the first book, because this one was just an endless repetition of how much Ivan is good, in and outside the be. Nothing really happens, and when it does (i.e. antibiotics) is just because the author wants to write 3 more books. I won't be reading them anyway.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

My Lord by Raine Miller the second book in Rothvale Legacy

The books picks off right after Priceless with the jaw dropping question Ivan asked Gabrielle. In this book we get a look more in to Ivans past as he slowly opens up to Gabrielle. Gabrielle and Ivan are the perfect pair with their history they both like their privacy. Gabrielle is dealing with a fine line between the relationship with Ivan and the cataloging of his gallery. Will their history get in the way of them moving forward? Raine Miller did a good of writing the emotions the characters were feeling and the steam omg! Can not wait for more of the story continued in Heart and Arrow!

It's nice to finally be able to read this book after so many years. I like how both Gabrielle and Ivan go with their attraction and how Ivan wants Gabrielle to be the one to deal with all the paintings. It is good for her in so many ways, and also good for him, in that he can trust the person. I liked how they got to know each others past a bit, have a feeling more of that will come into play along with Ivan's nemesis.

ARC....

OMG!!! I’ve patiently waited for this book for so long and it was TOTALLY WORTH IT! Gabby and Ivan’s connection is off the charts hot!

When Gabby wonders if she should enter into another D/S relationship, you feel her hesitation. Ivan too shows his fear of taking that first step. However, these two find their way to each other in such a beautiful way with all of the gorgeous art of Donadea around them!

Steamy level...10!

And Raine... The dogs??? Perfect!
Cannot wait for the 3rd book to see more of this fabulous couple!

A six year wait can make the anticipation so high the book has no hope of living up to expectations. Well my expectations were met and then some.

Steamy as all get out with great characters and flow.

We get some enlightening insight into Ivan’s past that helps us understand him better. Loved the background of his ancestors with Mallerton and everything about the estate.

Steamy and hot

Book 2 picks up with Ivan and Gaby continuing their weekend at Donadea. He wastes no time in stating what he wants. I love that both characters know what they want, know their flaws and are good people. Book 2 is at steamy as the first one so buckle in.

We wrapped up Priceless with Ivan taking Gabrielle away to his place. Ivan is determined to set things right between them and have her help him with his art collection.

Ivan is drawn to her and is working on getting Gabrielle to stay. The more time they spend together, the more he becomes attached.

Gabriellle is struggling with trusting Ivan. Her heart has already let him in, It's her brain that needs to give in.And just as Gabrielle acquiesces something or someone is determined to ruin Ivan and possibly keep them apart.

You definitely will want to pick up this steamy book. Can't wait for the third book!

Ahhh....it is so wonderful to be visiting with Gabrielle and Ivan again!! I absolutely fell in love with these two characters when we got the beginning of their story in Priceless, and even though we had to wait for the answer to that spectacular question Ivan asked Gaby at the very end, it was SO worth it!!

Raine picks up the story exactly where it left off at the end of Priceless and I was on pins and needles waiting to see what Gaby was going to say. After all, Ivan asked her a very important question, one that would determine the direction of their relationship.

This story was oh so sexy in the most delicious of ways. Ivan absolutely knows how to treat a lady in the bedroom, and his proclivity toward kink makes for some seriously hot and heavy sessions with our lovely Gabrielle, who turns out, is a natural submissive. She and Ivan just fit together oh so perfectly, in and out of the bedroom. I loved how she brought a calmness to him that he desperately needs.

I loved getting the inside story from Mr. Finnegan on what Ivan's life has been like since he was born, and I'm desperate for Gaby and Ivan to finally have that serious conversation they're going to need to have in regards to her own background.

My favorite parts of the story are when Gaby discovers all the priceless Mallerton's and other works of art that have been languishing undiscovered at Donadea for who knows how long. And getting little glimpses into the past of Graham and Imogene? Priceless!

There's a threat looming over Ivan's head that still needs to be taken care of, and a little Gaby tidbit dangling out there that I feel is going to evolve into something of the marvelous! I can't wait! I'm desperate for more of Ivan and Gaby and Raine will be bringing us more of their story in Heart and Arrow. I wish it were here already!

Oh My Gosh!

Oh My Gosh!
Every time Raine Miller is going to release a new book, I'm very excited, but with this one it was different since it has been a while since we got the first part of the story between Gaby & Ivan.
It goes without saying that it is the continuation of "Priceless", which you should read first, and believe me, it's worth it.
You know you are reading a good writer when the characters are able to transmit their emotions to you, Raine Miller usually does that with each of her books, she takes you into her world by wrapping you in the story.
As I mentioned, the story continues right where Priceless ends, Gaby & Ivan must fight their demons in order to be together in a more intimate way, although the attraction between them was instantaneous, both must learn to trust.
There's a lot of flirting and sensual scenes, because the chemistry of the characters is very good since book 1, and here they continue to explore that part of them, but that is one of the great qualities of this author, she knows exactly how much sensuality to put to the story so that the reader is not distracted from the main plot.
There are also new glimpses of the past, references that you will understand a little more if you have already read "The Muse" (historical novel related to "The Rothvale Legacy")
It's inevitable for me to talk about this book without referring to Ethan... so sorry for that... although it might seem that both stories are very similar and that they have several aspects in common, this story (again from my point of view) is less intense that Ethan's, in the sense that the mystery part is lighter, I don't really know how to explain this, let's say that the stories go according to the personality of their protagonists and Ivan's is much more relaxed than Ethan's, but equally attractive.
From the previous book I was wanting to read more interaction between Ivan and Lowell, his assistant, who is an irrelevant character (for now) but who made me very funny and a bit picturesque, I thought I would find more of him here but no, although Ivan's sense of humor and Gaby's taunts give it that comic tinge, my heart say Lowell was needed XD
And as a plus for a person like me, there's that scene with horses that made hearts come out of my eyes, the book is 100% romance, sensuality and passion, but this was a scene that stands out for me, I loved that moment between them two and the animals. Well, actually I love Ivan and all the ways he tries to surprise Gabrielle.
Although the relationship between the two main characters seems to be "resolved" there are many other aspects that are not, leaving us wanting more and at the same time with the uncertainty of whether they can be together. I feel, a VERY personal point of view, that this second book doesn't end as abruptly as the first part, but the fluidity of the story does let you see that it is not finished yet and that a third part is coming, but it doesn't leave you as anxious.
A book that, if you are a fan of “The Blackstone Affair” you cannot miss, the story of Ethan & Brynne is not “tripping” or interfering with Ivan & Gaby story, but if you read this first it leaves you that feeling of wanting read about the Blackstone and vice versa.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC

Ivan and Gabrielle’s steamy weekend at his magnificent estate continues in the second book in Raine Miller’s Rothvale Legacy saga. Where the first book, Priceless, was Ivan’s chasing Gaby, My Lord is their deeply passionate path to love. Oh, and this love story is sweltering and “something of the marvelous” to be sure. We pick up right where Priceless left our couple. Ivan’s invitation to Gaby to stay on at his estate to catalogue his extensive art collection while also submitting to his dominant needs. (BTW Priceless is a must read first – you will love it!)

description

Ivan (our kinky Lord Rothvale XIII) has become one of my favorite book boyfriend hotties. At every turn he is kissing Gaby and totally enthralled with her, especially after screwing up the first two encounters with her. This third time is a charm, and he falls fast. Now he has her in his grasp, and he is not letting her go. Even with his wealth and good looks, he has some past indiscretions that rear their ugliness. Specifically, our new villain, Park Jin-ho. Ivan’s nemesis makes a “digital” appearance which seems to set up some potential drama for the next Rothvale installment “Heart and Arrow.”

description

Gabriella has finally warmed up to Ivan, even after his previous jerk shenanigans. As she wonders around his Irish estate Donadea, she is mesmerized by all the exquisite art. Mostly unknown to the art world-at-large and probably worth millions. All these priceless paintings just hanging around in Ivan’s estate. The visual descriptions of these artistic marvels are all throughout the story. Most of these paintings tie us back to Ivan’s great, great grandmother, Lady Imogene. Gaby has some secrets of her own that she frequently frets about, but we have not really gotten the scoop as a reader, yet

description

Their romance is all the swoony fabulousness we have come to adore from Raine Miller! She has penned the perfect follow-up to Ethan and Brynne from her Blackstone Affair series. Ivan and Gabrielle will hopefully have a long list of sexy adventures, as well. So many parts of “My Lord” connect this story to Raine’s “The Muse” as well. “The Muse” is a historical romance that tells the story of Ivan’s ancestors (Graham and Imogene) and the creation of the paintings central to this story. My Reading order: Priceless, The Muse, My Lord -- I am talking a binge-reading frenzy for all these Rothvale books. You will thank me later!
